The 15% damage reduction on aoe active skills is calculated in a cumulative manner. That means that if you are hitting 5 targets the reduction won't be of 30%, but rather of: 1 target - 100% damage 2 targets - 100 * 0,85 = 85% damage 3 targets - 85 * 0,85 = 72,25% damage 4 targets - 72,25 * 0,85 = 61,41% damage 5 targets - 61,41% * 0,85 = 52,19% damage Close enough to the "cap"
As a person from reddit myself, liu che's extra basic attack does trigger extra rage gain (84 rage per extra basic attack if I am not mistaken). That is not counting extra rage from talents, skills or accessories - with those, liu che's rage engine can easily add 100+ rage every per trigger.

when the above all kings active , on the report you will see it actived undying fury one more extra time , so you gain more rage. liu che as frist commander need horn and do more overall damage than scipio first.
I was debating it ..for us rocking 1 infantry pair , Guan/Scipio, is it really worth maxing him and benching Guan? If so, would it be worth using Arch formation on Scipio instead of Wedge?
I think Lu Che will be one of those commanders that stays relevant for a couple of years as more infantry smite commanders come into the game. When that happens people will go back to guan/skippy and use LuChe and the new smite comanders as a second infantry march. If you plan on using two infantry marches in the future I think he’s the way to go.
@@ankamon570 I would say Scipio with Alex, but the great thing about Scipio is he is very versatile and works well as a primary with pretty much any infantry commander, other than Guan where you would want him as your secondary.
My liu che is 5211 I’m in kvk rn so I might 5511 him at some point but I definitely plan to expertise him but I’m waiting until I can a good pair for him so I can keep guan scipi going but if anything I’ll try a max scipi prime with 5511 liu and see how that goes

I dont think liu che is must have commander level like nevsky and sciopio and ZL. His rage steroid is nice but it really expensive and with the way the game power creep. Commander without debuff easily replaceable. For me liu che is just fancy tariq in nut shell. Big damage without debuff that easily replaceable with future better dps commander.
Liu Che is the first smite damage commander, wait until next gen smite damage commander released and you'll see how valuable it is to invest on liu. You don't have to max him though, just work on him slowly.
@@jackrisonjoseph that 5 aoe 2250 damage factor smite is so good looking at scipio his main thing is a 3 target aoe debuff after that it's stats and some extra damage factor simple but good if another comander gets a 30% health debuff scipio will stay good as his stats are really good liu che has high damage some march speed some defense extra normal attack is a good exp helps anyone with instant prop skills because it can keep them on cooldown and help do alot more damage and later smite comanders can possibly be paired with liu che for a smite only march having 100% synergy
But he does have 2 debuffs actually. March speed debuffs does put work in actual kvk fights, and (it is not consistent) but Liu Che's 4th skill can proc in conjunction with active skill, providing a passive skill, all damage reduction debuff to all enemies. These aren't consistently providing value, but they do exist, they do put some work, so i don't believe you used Liu Che a whole lot before commenting
I don’t think he is anything unusually great unless maxed, he looks good theoretically at 55** but I have tried it and I’m not that impressed to be honest (currently 5551 for me) . Video looks great 👍
Yeah it really expensive to get his full potential (extra normal attack that trigger a lot of thing). He also basically stat stick without debuff that make me worry to invest into him.
He is a mid comander at 5511 5551 because he has defense some march speed really good aoe damage but his main power comes when he has his expertise without it he is missing alot unlike someone like saladin I'd say he is good enough so unlike herald he isn't a don't get unless you can instantly max him if your going for a infantry march go acipio first 5551 is a good stopping point then try and get exp liu

You will be pairing him with be scipo, so formation wise use your best infantry set
5111. I will use him with scipi as soon as my kvk4 ends (if i don't go back to kvk2), i just want to see what the new archers bring.

I have feelings liu che isn't future proof enough like scipio and even guan yu with their unique debuff that make them timeless.

Guan scipio still thr best for the ball and team strength. Debuff plus dmg, only dealing dmg is selfish build hehe
