- "Unintended Ties" unfolds in the bustling city of Lagos, focusing on the life of Ginika, a young woman seeking an escape from poverty. Her childhood friend, Chimamanda, promises to provide her with a better life but instead subjects her to servitude as a housemaid. As Ginika grapples with her circumstances, she forms an unexpected bond with Aka, Chimamanda's best friend, who offers her solace and understanding.
Aka, however, harbors unrequited love for Chimamanda, who is infatuated with the wealthy businessman Emmydon, even as he only regards Aka as a friend. Amidst these entangled emotions, Aka and Ginika's connection deepens, leading to a passionate affair. Yet, the weight of financial instability and the desire to maintain appearances pushes Aka to coerce Ginika into undergoing an abortion and hiding their relationship from Chimamanda.
Chimamanda's relationship with Emmydon takes a dark turn when she discovers his marriage and abusive tendencies. Despite this revelation, she agrees to marry him based on his promise to divorce his wife. Once she joins Emmydon abroad, Aka's heartbreak over losing Chimamanda is healed by Ginika's support, and they eventually marry. However, the shadow of Ginika's abortion looms large as she struggles to conceive.
Chimamanda's marriage to Emmydon deteriorates due to his abusive behavior, prompting her return to Lagos. Unaware of Aka's marriage to Ginika, she pursues an affair with him, driven solely by her desires and showing no regard for Ginika. Tensions reach a breaking point when Ginika discovers Aka and Chimamanda's ongoing affair.
"Unintended Ties" intricately explores the complexities of love, betrayal, and the unintended consequences of one's actions. The characters must confront their choices, unravel the knots of their emotions, and find a way to reconcile their pasts with their present realities. As their lives become further intertwined, the story navigates themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the consequences of pursuing forbidden desires.

In my own Opinion: I think Aka & Amanda deserves what they got, especially Aka who doesn't know what he wants, but come to think of it, Ginika kind of forced herself on Aka and he then made her an option.

My dear that Ginika haa a problem. She inserted herself and started saying she’s pregnant. She’s not the victim here. I didn’t like her from the start. I don’t know why. 🙈. Even when it was clear she was being treated badly I shut didn’t like her. Why she did in the end justifies my dislike. That child doesn’t deserve to grow up in abject poverty out of revenge. The life she’s depriving the child. 😡. She has no education and no job. 20 million niara will last 6 months if not a year. Am getting angrier as I type. 😂😂😂

She didn’t tie that man with pregnancy, he instead pushed her to abortion . And that child won’t grow in poverty coz she cleared Amanda’s account before leaving .

Nice movie I've watched like 3 times already, Aka is such a confused man doesn't know what he wants or maybe not .....
At a time it like more of marriage commitment to Ginika but he loves Amanda but that Amanda girl is a user, I really like the movie all play their role well.
Chimamanda you really dealt with Ginika the humiliation was too much. You practically turned her into your house help. Because of you our husband didn't want Ginika to keep the pregnancy. Ginika is a smart girl, ei,ei,ooh. Who would have thought that Ginika had it in her to pull this off. She made up her mind that cannot be always loosing. Thanks guys.

I love the ending of this movie. What Amanda and aka got they both deserve it. They were planning to do Ginika dirt but she beat them to it. Amanda used Ginika as a maid and didn’t compensated her properly when she decided to leave with her rich man. Aka is nothing but a fool for Amanda. In my country s they say when you’re digging a hole for someone dig a deeper one for yourself because you will fall harder. Didn’t Aka and Amanda fall harder? I love the movie a lot 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Why is the doctor sounding like a robot like he’s reading his lines lol
Waooooo! This movie is very interesting. I really enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. Full of expectations and suspense. When you think that you are catching up with the story, other things keep unfolding. Chimamanda thinks money is everything but later realizes that all that glitter is not gold. I was watching and hoping that the film doesn't end. Talking about player, all of them(Aka, Chimamanda, Ginika&Emmy Don)are players but they are all at the loosing end except Ginika. That's if she's not caught because she committed a criminal offence.
Keep it up my dear and may God grant you more and better ideas, creativity and productivity in Jesus name. Amen.

Great movie. I knew she was going to take the baby when she told her husband to get Amanda pregnant. Aka couldn't make up his mind on who he wanted. Aka wife didn't have to take the abortion pills we he asked her to get rid of the baby. All she had to do was to leave and had her baby. If Aka really loved his wife, he wouldn't sleep with Amanda. Aka really was in love with Amanda. Why is some men so heartless and weak and so Easily to cheat? I don't think I can forgive my spouse for cheating. To me that's the Ultimate Betrayal.
