  • In this video, we walk through the process of installing helical piers to correct a home's settling, cracked foundation. Because the foundation was not level, we also show how to use lift cylinders to boost the foundation up and fix the problem.

    Seen this used on a fence. Looked it up and you guys showed up, it has got to be cheaper than a rebuild but I bet it is not cheap. Great video that was cool

      That must have been a big fence! Or a small pier. ha! Yes, definitely more cost effective to repair than replace.

    I just received a quote in Albany GA for 12 helical piers at 25ft. Its total cost is $14700. I'd really like to become certified in this area of expertise. I love seeing how you did this. It looks like it takes at least a 6-man crew. How long have you been doing this? Your work is amazing!!! 😁 How can i learn to do this? Do you offer franchise opportunities? My business is a remodel and repair business, and I'd love to be a part of your team.

      Hi Daniel!
      Thank you, I appreciate the compliment! We have been at it for over 13 years now. Unfortunately, we do not offer franchises. There are a few companies out there that do, however.

    This was interesting to see...what happens with pipes and other things running under the house, particularly if you need to relevel?

    • @Therealsealllc
      @Therealsealllc  29 днів тому +1

      Typically pipes don't run very far underneath the ground. We call JULIE to locate any lines, and they are found while we do our work, as we must start at the bottom of the foundation.
      The main ones to worry about are sewer lines (which run right under the foundation or through it and easily identified and avoided), gas lines (usually not too far below the ground, so located and avoided), electrical (usually above ground, but below ground is located and avoided), and water lines (3' at least beneath the ground, but easily identified from location tags and where it comes in the home on the interior).

      @@Therealsealllc Thanks...my question was less about concern for pipes underground (although that IS a factor to keep in mind) but rather when the house is releveled, do pipes running from the house need to be disconnected so that they do not break? For example, a pipe from the sewage in the house that then connects to a pipe running into the main sewage line that may move a bit during releveling.

      @Therealsealllc  15 днів тому +1

      @@sullyprudhomme Great question!
      Yes, depending on the area of lift and amount of lift, it may be necessary to disconnect the sewer line before lifting. Many times, it will have sunk down with the foundation, however, and lifts back up correctly. At that point, all you need to do is re-seal/connect the pipe on the outside.

    How long would a 14 pier project on a home usually take once started? No decks or landscaping to deal with.
    Very informative video.

      @Therealsealllc  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Jerry!
      A 14 pier project, all clear, we would expect to be able to be completed within a week's time. How long exactly depends on how deep the piers go. The shorter they go, the quicker the job. Let us know if we can help!

      We're getting ready to sell our house. I was cleaning out the basement when I found I could see outside light through the crack. I contacted a local foundation Crack repair company and when they saw the pictures said they couldn't help us because we need piering help. I had no idea what that was so I did research. Now I'm worried our amazing house won't sell because of this and we won't be able to move. We MUST move soon because my spouse is ill.

    Third world country building standards in the first place that those things are even needed. Also depressing how much this house probably cost compared to France Germany Poland. British standards are shit to but just at different levels 😂
