I’m not sure that it was actual jealousy as at this point she hadn’t figured out her feelings for Booth BUT I agree with Cam she did alter their relationship and that is affecting her. That being said, I’m on s5 of a rewatch and had to watch some B&B as a couple clips because I can’t wait lol.
Bones was an idiot through 6 seasons of Bones Cause her character as Bones was tactless, arrogant, over competitive, narrow-minded, logical and rational. Even with All her intelligence she was pretty dumb when it came to the heart. I found her character frustrating
I got a recent diagnosis from my therapist and I have the same struggles. I really relate to her. But I have to say that I, myself, am also very frustrated by my social skills.

Booth meant so much more to her, and she knew what it meant to him as well. She was worried that she would do or say something that would drive Booth away from her and break both their hearts. She couldn't handle that, so she played it safe when it came to him.
