      Through a constitutional amendment. Our generation is the only one that has never overturned an amendment. Go to wolf-pac.com for more information. It CAN be done, but people have to get off their asses and push for it.

      HEhe... perhaps not a coup in the literal sense. Certainly nothing like what happened to the democratically elected government of Salvador Allende. Perhaps Klein used the term figuratively or metaphorically.

    When both sides realize that Goldman Sachs does not care which side is in and the people then decide to act together against the real problem we will continue to be at each other's throats, and letting the real culprits off the hook. We need a people's party, neither party is in truth that entity. Both sides have weakness and both sides have strength, the most glaring weakness common to both sides is the willingness to waste so much energy denigrating the other side and ignoring the true problem.

    and the GOP has proven for decades that they know how to FUCK America in the ass and still get enough idiots to keep voting for them. These MORONS continue to fail to notice that the GOP basically shut down Obama's last 6 years and that all the GOPtards who think things are bad are the ones who made it bad: the GOP had the house for 18 of the past 22 years, the senate 14 of those years and held both and the presidency all at once 6 of those years (the Dems only for 2 measly years) and need I mention that before the most recent generation of screwing over America, that they had Reagan & Bush #1 for 12 years in a row. The Democratic party need to get their acts together, every time I heard them diagnose the situation, they fail measurable. We tend to be reactionaries at time. Republicans have a strategy, which is divide and concur, and financial gain- it works for them. But that won't work for us, because democrats are intelligent, we analyze everything, we care about issues confronted the entire world, while worry about the other side understand us, that's difficult stuff to Juggle. But we need to maintain focus, not so easily derailed , I can't believe we buy into the idea of Hillary's crookedness, preferred Bernie over Hillary, and that democrats voted for Trump instead of Hillary, to me that's crazy. Many of the Bernie's fans were republicans skimming to change the outcome, republicans are good car salesmen, they know how to skim to get at what they want.

It appears as though even though he funded his own campaign and should be beholden to no one, it appears as if he is beholden to the exact same interests as anyone would be, and I assume this is because Wall Street, oil, etc., they are paying off his campaign loans.

    ONE GOOD IDEA. ONE POWERFUL TACTIC. Here's the major problem why political reforms don't happen in USA, the core reason 3rd parties fail in the USA, is our 'winner take all' voting vs. proportional representation. Alternative Voting is a good 'keyword' to find out more about this. We need to change to election process so alternative voice, smaller voices can start to get a share of political power.
    Winner-take-all voting is like a gambler thinking he can beat the odds in Las Vegas; but the only steady winner in Las Vegas is the casinos. --- NEITHER DEMOCRATS OR REPUBLICANS ARE GOING TO ‘SAVE US,’ FROM THEIR OWN MANIPULATIONS AND MALFEASANCE --- So the tactic I recommend is Radical*Voting, meaning Vote out all incumbents, repeatedly, again and again until news laws passed, laws passed that reduce the influence of cash, term limits, limits on length of campaigns, and some method of ALTERNATIVE VOTING that does give all the power only to those who can get 51%.
    In some ways no more radical that voter enforced term limits, but in another way a mist dramatic challenge to business as usual. We've had no success in changing our politics by waving signs, by large crowds, nor by breaking windows. Change comes, as it's been often repeated, "by the bullet or the ballot." (And revolution or civil war doomed to destroy more than it saves)

    This reminds me of the Buy N Large Pixar theory. (Buy N Large is a fictional company seen in the background of most Pixar films, and BNL eventually appears to gradually and quietly take over society across all the films.) Capitalism is great, but it needs a healthy balance of socialism to last. Without social values to keep it in check, you end up with a society of people (like in Wall-E) who are alive merely to buy and consume the goods marketed by the governing corporation.

  • @giacomopeters9988
    @giacomopeters9988 7 років тому

    It seems that we are seeing the evolution of capitalism. Behind Henry Ford and other great industrialists, our country boomed under capitalism. Workers had to fight to get fair wages and safe working conditions, a battle that was won but not by all. Then, to bring things under corporate control again, republicans have successfully convinced the average American unions are bad. The average teacher's retirement is 48,000/year whereas a senator's is $175,000 with full health coverage. The average 30 yr military career is $38,000! Most of us unfortunately get pushed out before we get to the maximums. We have seen the steady decline of union influence over the years. Then, we struggled with global competition and outsourcing. Corporations slashed employee numbers while rewarding consultants who figured out how to steal from the original contributions by the workers. Senators are calling social security a benefit and want it privitized..read - controlled and eventually taken. Now, we are seeing the wiping out of checks and balances against corporations by appointing the most influential CEOs to government positions: A corporate Coup d'Etat.

    God, I am tired of hearing the "POPULAR VOTE" argument....If it was the lay of the land, then I would understand....But when it goes against you, whay, whay whay!!!! - There is no Popular Vote - if you win by lose the popular vote by 1 vote or 4 millioin votes, it DOES NOT MATTER! - Get over it!
