The top engineering degrees can pay you well over $100K, but they are also some of the hardest college degrees out there. Today I will be Ranking The HARDEST Engineering Degrees and explain if they are truly worth all the hard work and studying. Not all engineering majors can get you high paying jobs after college, some of the worst engineering degrees have no demand and can be bad investments, so it is important you do research into all the engineering majors and choose the best engineering major for you. Some of the engineering degrees I'll touch on in this video include mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, computer engineering, biomedical engineering, aerospace engineering and more!! I hop you ENJOY :)

So how's that going for you? Unfortunately, I learned that I was not built for this 💀
@@factionalhitmanu got me wanting to give up, I hate school brah
I believe bro
How is computer engineering? I was thinking of opting for this field after completing college... Share ur experience
I was assigned to the course because my aunt saw "engineer" and thought "OH WOWW ENGINEER"
🤣🤣🤣
Not like the 2nd most common degree in the world is engineering hahaha
Lmao that's literally the reason iam going to study it😂
Haha 😅
how is it? im planning on taking it too
Damn that sucks i absolutely hate math I'm pretty well imformed as far as the importance of every component in a computer + I can put them together
Don't hate it, math explains how many things work, there's many interesting concepts that you can learn to boost your curiosity which in turn will make you appreciate it more.
@@looeegee Naw i think I'm just gonna be racist today and hate math
@@PotatoNuggetBoi you do you fellow racist
Yeah was it because I regarded math as a difficult subject but I'm very keen on technologies and computers, I find computer topics easier than with mathematical parts.
@@PotatoNuggetBoi LOL😅
I'm a phD student doing Mathematics and Physics. I hate software and while I'm, pretty good at programming I don't enjoy it like I enjoy mathematics and physics. However, I LOVE hardware and everything that goes into it. Definitely looking to take some classes or get some certifications so I can be a hardware engineer or something. Otherwise, my research with the NSA will give me a one-way ticket into a government job doing probability and stats.
Learn Haskell or something, the people who made the language was composed of mathematicians and follows the functional programming paradigm.
Don’t do if you don’t like to code :P
every single undergraduate course of comp science has code involved, it's like the main thing
That’s the worst take ever considering the fact the computer engineering is like 70% complicated electrical engineering and math concepts and only like 30% coding
@@abdul.rawi215 point still stands.
You’re better off doing EE if that’s your cup of tea. Besides you’re expected to know ee concepts + some cs ( architecture, assembly all that ish) just to end up competing with cs grads and swe for job offers. The design aspect is cool but all those are patented so seriously don’t do it
Bro between CE and CE which involves more programming.. I wanna be a software engineer but dunno if I should do CS or CE
@@Gamerjeff_211 From what I know, CS is more involved with programming and that's pretty much what software engineers are, so I would opt into CS if you want to become a software engineer.
It’s def not one of the hardest engineering degrees. I think EE takes that spot
Well computer engineering is a hybrid of EE and CS
you know the meaning of one of the vs the?
What a clown comment. CpE is made up of the core classes from CS and EE with emphasis on embedded systems, microprocessor applications, and sometimes machine learning. Let’s see your bum ah try do something like that. Always the mfs that know nothing about nothing wanting to talk. Real engineers respect each other’s line of study.
Computer engineering is literally all electronics courses with one or two CS courses sprinkled in
@@fusuyreds1236 I agree my CpE major is majority EE, so courses are labeled ECE for Electrical and Computer Engineering. The EE major requiring communications, power, control sys, and analog microelectronics, while CpE having the C/C++/C# series and the digital logic series. Not uncommon for people to double major when the difference is around 6 classes. Elective courses for one degree could also fulfill requirements for the other major
I read somewhere that Computer Science students are software experts and Electrical Engineering students are hardware experts. But Computer Engineering students are jack of all trades and experts of none because CENG is 50% CS and 50% EE. How true is this? I was thinking of switching to CENG but these words made me a bit hesitant
Look into possible jobs you’d want to do, list them out, and if they are pretty split between hardware and software computer engineering would be a good option. If it’s mostly software or mostly hardware maybe you should focus on just that one, but computer engineering doesn’t close any doors as long as you’re willing to work hard outside of college and to keep learning new skills.
Programming is always depends upon the logic of person not depends upon degree
Instead by doing Computer Engineering u r able to get job in Hardware as well as Software Industry....
I’d say this is only partly true. It definitely depends on the school. But my curriculum basically was CS/EE for the first 2 years and then delved into things that were CpE specific. You learn enough of both curriculums to interview for hardware and software jobs. Most of my classmates are software engineers while my job involves testing hardware. Ultimately it’s a very useful degree and if you want to switch into it I don’t think you’ll end up regretting it. I like it because it gave me a top to bottom overview of how a computer works, and how each level interacts with each other, which I think would be harder to do (not impossible) with a purely CS or EE degree. But all 3 are incredibly useful and will give you options to work in most companies! Do what you like, it’s hard to go wrong here.
@@reliabilityeaterbro your really a expert now I'm joining btech i taken ce with ai and ml spelization in it but i want to change it to cse with iot is it worth changing to cse for getting jobs or do i stay in computer engineering 🙏
Computer engineering from what I know its more concentrated in computers and EE is more on telecomunications , electromagnetism altough I think they see more electronics but CE you can do robots which combine programming and electrical or you can do embedded systems or cyber sistems or inteligent power grids or artificial intellignece depeding on what you want to specialize if your school offers them and EE you can spelialize like almost the same but with more things like nano devices, electrical power systems, photonics and quantum tecnologies.
Or you end up writing an 8 page treatise on ketchup bottle development 😂😂😂 for a product manager lol!
My friend received his bachelor’s in CE even though hes terrible in math, now that hes got a job at boeing all he uses for work are software programs that does all the work for him 😂
Did he actually? i want to know more about this pls
It wasnt easy going through the math part for sure, he struggled but what paid off is he stayed with the program and also his professor was quite helpful.
@@3ddgemi997 im scared tho of calculus i never learned it and im in 12 grade rn

Because of mathematics?
what's making it hard ?
Electronics engineering laughing in the cornwr
you do realize computer engineering contain a big chunk of electrical engineering

why would they laugh?
@@JC-fd8ho Some people think CE's are in the middle that can't compete with pure EE majors or CS majors. (But in my school CE and EE only has five different class.) I conclude that CE's should go to grad school. Choose a specializtation in between fields in CS/EE. Though a lot of job role often states: A BS, MS, PhD in CS, CE, EE or similar field/experiences. Please check it out.
@@JC-fd8ho Oh I looked at the video again. Why he's laughing is because EEE/EE are acutually harder than CE in general cause CE is balanced with some CS elelctives. I've seen EE majors switch majors to CS and say it's easier to learn. But yeah still depend on the student everyone is different. Semicondictor physics, EMag theory, applications, nanotech, quantum electronics, etc etc are hardcore shits
I'm a 2nd year computer engineer student in the Philippines and would like to switch majors to IT, as I'm shit at maths. I only passed my Calculus 1 and 2 classes because of online classes (of course you know what you did with activities) now that we're taking Calculus 3 I'm now getting fucked by that subject as I didn't learn Calculus 1 and 2. I only chose Computer Engineering as I wanted an IT major but my university didn't offer that major, and the rest is history. If there's a way to leave the hard maths then sign me up.
Bro did you find any other major similar or thinking about one that doesn’t involve like freaking hard ass math? Don’t get me wrong I’m good at math but it’s like next level when it comes to calculus. And I’m a lil nervous to take classes and fail bc ion got money like that to keep taking classes
@@cyrus6356 IT is one, as I know a friend who majors on it. When I asked him about his math subjects, oh god did I not get jealous, he only has 1 math subject on the whole sem and it's like algebra, others are just logic. So yeah I plan on shifting on that major
@@doctoroflolo Hey, where are you from? I'm also to about join university in this sep but the major which i wanted to study is IT and it is not available in that university. Cuz remember, always tell this to people that, go with what you want, as uni's shit as it is don't make it more shit and just enjoy and take your time.

I choosed computer engineering but i dont know if should have picked computer science and this stress me out don't know what to do tbh
Sorry bro :(
Go for the Computer Engineering. With a CS degree, you're still not technically a "engineer" and that title alone is going to be what really gets you the big money. This is an easy choice.
@@MidnightVentures sorry bro im terrible in english, can u explain clearer?
@@hujanpanas1604 simply go for computer engineering it is better than cs
I was in the same position as when I got my compsci and compengg offer.
I ended up pursuing computer engineering since I enjoyed working with hardware, but I do know there are software options out there. Compsci typically has a smaller courseload than an engineering degree (in my university, compsci students take 4 courses minimum, while engineering you must have at least 6). If you do plan on computer engineering, you must know that you have to go through many courses unrelated to computers. However, later down the years the courses get more specialized and you finally get to learn about computers!
Computer engineering is hard degree, but there are more job options later on (and you can brag about being an engineering student 💀👍)
First year is gonna be tough and I wish you the best!
If you do a B.S. in Computer Science, can you do a masters in Computer Engineering so as to lean more towards the hardware side of things? Not really trying to do another bachelors in Electrical Engineering, but don’t know if a Masters will prepare you well for the hardware aspect of things.
i just need to get through these damn classes bro
I wish I majored in Computer engineering instead of Biochemistry and minoring in computer science. Part of me is thinking about getting a second Bachelor's degree but I don't know if that's a good idea in terms of finances and other things.
Every engginerring is hard for him😂😂😂
Of course bro it’s “engineering” what do you expect?
I joined computer engineering but i want to join cse is there any difference between them 😢
No difference it's exactly the same
Opinion on chemist?
I'm currently doing first year.
I'm doing a joint course electronic and computer engineering
And I would like some advice on jobs u can actually do
you see id do it but i wanna get insanely rich not be in the thousands
It's ironic cuz I'm not that great in math, gor a non-STEM strand for senior high school, and I'm on a computer engineering degree.... gluck or goodbye ig
How is it going so far ? I’m interested but I’m not that good in math ?😮
I'm TVL , but I'm going to take Computer and electrical engineering next year .
Gonna grind so hard right now 😅
Both of us are same, I didn't took STEM strand during senior high school but I'm currently on 2nd year of Computer Engineering. All I could say is you have to put a lot of effort especially when you're not good at math. But hardwork will pay off
@@custodioreymart1666Bro I'm also from non-STEM in high school. Can I handle Computer engineering!? How is it going with you!? Plz ket me know your feedbacks, will be very grateful.
@@yanishshrestha8331 the answer to whether you can handle it or not is depends on how you view things and how you approach it, if you got low scores on exam then what you have to do is to study much harder so you'll not experience the same thing again. Also it is fun, you may face problems on your first year, let's assume you don't have a good foundation when it comes to math, but then you'll gradually learn since you'll leave no choice but to study harder. Then the following years will become much more easier. Reviewing high school math will help you, it'll give you a foundations.

If you only like math and coding, but hate anything related to EE, you'll also hate CE. Just pick AI as a major, it has a much better and recently created curriculum. You'll have to learn a lot of outdated technical and EE related stuff in CE, which you'll never ever use if you want to work in software related jobs.
