Are foldable roof solar panels the future of cars? When deployed, it can achieve 1500-2000 watts of solar charging power, with an average daily recharge range of 30-50 miles.
There is a company called Aptera that is looking to bring to market a solar EV able to get up to 40 miles of range from solar a day, and that's with 700 watts of solar built onto the car. Will also have spare capacity in the solar management to be able to hook up additional panel. And if solar isn't enough, is able to DC fast charge from Tesla chargers. What I'm really really interest in that that the boost from solar could make charging from standard 120 volt outles enough to do daily commutes. The option of a 1000 mile per charge battery pack is a big plus.
@@TildaAzrisk We are currently working on a solar project to extend the range of pure electric vehicles. Based on our ground test data from the previous year, it can be estimated that the daily charging range will be 50-80 kilometers from June to September this year.
