Ngengi their grandfather and Kamau their father. But Johnson Kamau Ngengi, alias Jomo Kenyatta, named his firstborn sons after his eldest brother Muigai instead of his father Ngengi. If he was Ngengi's true son we would have Uhuru Ngengi Kamau not Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. He also discarded his name Kamau. Kamau Ngengi became Jomo Kenyatta. It's either Ngengi disowned him or he shifted allegiance to his true biological father when Lenana gave him land.
