Multiplayer suggestion: Avoid the RefinerBots race. Each build a vehicle to carry a resource collector filled with rods. They must drive their vehicle (with their cargo) through an uneven course full of obstacles and Plenty of refinerbots. They must drive from start of the course to the finish in the shortest time possible, but for every rod from their collector that gets eaten by a refinerbot, 10 seconds is added to their time.
@@catgamer2189 Vehicles made from Resource Rods with the obstacles being resource collectors. They get layers of protection as well, since if you run into a resource collector with a vehicle that has resource rods on them it picks up everything it can....it just doesn't really have a rhyme or reason as to which rods it picks up.
Scrapman and Kan: *build race cars to get from the start to the finish* Moonbow: *moves the entire earth beneath himself to bring the finish to where he is*
I'm a heavy equipment mechanic that works on plenty of skid-steer loaders, like bobcats. Although, I work for a CAT dealership. Skid steers actually do have suspension. However, it is typically not a large spring in the normal sense. On CAT machines at least, suspension is achieved by a front linkage that rotates on 2 shafts and a rear pin called a pivot shaft. Bulldozer suspension works similarly, except that a bulldozer has a rear pivot shaft and an equalizer bar in the middle. The equalizer bar has 3 pins. One on each roller frame that supports the tracks and one in the middle attached to the machine frame. This allows the tracks to move in tandem. If one track is high, it pushes the opposite track lower into the ground supporting the weight.
I actually work at the railway and having a lot of weight lowdown is a key to the trains stability, most passenger carriages I work on weigh between 25 and 35 tonnes with the shunters weighing around 30/45 tonnes, occasionally we get freight haulers in which can weigh up to around 125tonnes. As for suspension the passenger trains usually have two double sets of springs with either a pivot or airbag in the middle and a tie rod to stop drift per bogie. The shunters we us are all leaf sprung.

Multiplayer Monday suggestion : make gliding trains and try to land them on the train track!! .you can try and land it on different parts of the track ❤️
MM suggestion: Multi railtrack switch race. Have 3 tracks next to eachother, everyone starts on his own track. then race through turns and have obstakels so you have to switch to and block the other. Hardcore mode: have an open section on the track to offroad with the trains
Multiplayer Monday idea: regular car (or whatever vehicle) race where you build at the starting line when the race starts, and can take off whenever you're done building. So you can sacrifice building a better car for a head start, or you can sacrifice the head start for a potentially better car.
kan's train: plungerland scrapman's train: wedge gang vibes but ok moonbo: makes a train as huge as the moon but with the sketchiest switching mechanism
Multiplayer suggestion: build planes to shoot down flying targets, but the flying targets can shoot back because they have explosive tapebots on board.
next time, make trains that must travel terrain. get on the track for a bit, dodge some things, then get off the track, climb a hill and make a jump, then reconnect to the train tracks again :-D
I think with some logic and stuff from the modpack this would be a very efficient track switcher. This could be done fully automatically, for example the pistons automatically move to the side and the train stops when it detects an obstacle and lift up when the "train" reaches a certain low speed so that the "train" stops exactly when the pistons touch the ground to lift up the "train". Then the "train" changes the tracks, retracts the pistons and moves on automatically.
IDEA: build de-training tracks, so a normal track lifted up but part of it has a button to lift it up highter and each person makes a train to try to stay on the track and it’s a race
There was made prototypes of low trains and carriages with overpass tracks on them to improve traffic flow. The trains slowed down, 1 train stopped to let the other pass over the top. There should be video of it from QI and other sources.
Idea A train split into two parts vertically, and the bottom half is split into 3 parts. Middle piece is the same size as the two end pieces combined. So like the middle one is a square and the two ends are thinner rectangles. To switch tracks the end pieces lift the rest of the train up, the middle piece goes sideways then extends down onto the track, then the entire top half moves to the other side which moves the trains center of mass, then since the end pieces aren't needed to hold the train up anymore they'd be free to move to the other side too, with the middle piece keeping everything supported. You don't even need to stop moving to switch tracks like this
The problem is, timers in post can get out of sync with whatever timer they use during recording, so you always have to say "*approximate", which really detracts from the point of having a timer. Showing each player's time you could still do, though.
Bobcats do have suspension. Infact, if a vehicle doesn't have a straight axle and bare wheel, it very likely has a form of suspension. Tyres act as a form of suspension, though not their intended purpose, all track based vehicles have suspension, it's part of how they effectively use the system to cross terrain. Trains have suspension because tracks are not 100% flat or reliable
Seeing how wild Moonbo's run went with all those seats, I have to kinda wonder what a 3 person vehicle could become if there was something made specially for 3 people to control it some special way. Where everyone has some sort of role.
Day 34 of asking, please make Frank from Cars and have him take out greenies and haybots, and the harvester part can be some saw blades, and please put it on the workshop if you do not know who Frank from Cars is, then watch the movie Cars, it is a really good movie, and please give a shout out to Sawyer (pronounced Soy-er)
Scrap man you missed a pun at the end of khans run, When he fell off the track but then bounced back on you could’ve said “that was ‘Tote’ally un’bot’lievable”
MM build glass ball and hop in and close it. Hammer to victory through obstacles. Don't fall out when you run out of glass to hit. Also big balls aren't that manoeuvrable.
Multiplayer suggestion: Boat parkour. There are 3 people on their own boat they will move around and the other person will try to jump on their boats and to platforms, it will be in a loop. Whoever messes up a jump loses. You count how many jumps they did to a platform or someone's boat, which would be how many points they get.
an idea for multiplayer monday: there are two teams, the attackers and the defenders (two players on each) . The attackers' job is to break bot capsules behind a train track and the defenders' job is to go along the track and stop the capsules being broken. its not much of an idea but i can picture it in my head
Multiplayer Monday idea: Farmbot mech battles. You each build a mech capable of battling farmbots, but you make it out of a non durable material. Or you just battle each other with the mechs.
I came up with an idea similar to moonbo's but instead of his big swinging weight, the platform would have sort of a second set of rails that the body would ride sideways on. So side flips down, body slides over, other side flips up.
4 players, 2 against 2 race. Double decker cars, 1 half controls brakes and acceleration and the other half controls the steering. The challenge is because the cars are double deckers, they will be top heavy so you have to work with each other to not go around a corner too quickly and falling over but you have to be quick enough to beat the other team
How about doing a side by side "train heist" sabotage challenge. It'd be 1v1 so if it's you three it's best out of 3, but 2 trains running parallel down a track. There's 3-4 cars connected by a cardboard block that has a release spud gun connected to a logic NOR sensor that's blocked by another piece of cardboard. You win if you either make it to the front of your respective train or if you uncouple the car that your opponent is on, leaving them in the dust. You could rig each car up with a timed explosive and a form of brakes so once it uncouples it slows down and signals the ultimate demise of your opponent and also clears the world of 1 more thing in the world. If the 3rd person needs something to do, they can drive both trains (from 1 seat) or if you're doing a kind of "teams" 2 v 2, then a driver and a bandit. I know it'd be a bit much for how laggy Multiplayer is, but it's another train idea.
These challenges with the added idea that as a team you get to ban the most obvious choice. I do, of course, enjoy the speed runs. but the non obvious choice is quite entertaining

How about for a train challenge you haul a cargo car but you have to load and unload the survival cargo containers with a crane built into the train, not only do you need to safely operate the train but you have to safely operate a crane twice. Leaves plenty of room to mess up.
This is nice
maybe swich so that they are resource rods and resource collectors must be avoided to make it harder
