I set my heat press to 380 degrees and even though I pressed it for about 40 seconds in the video (as explained), 30 would have been enough. Just make sure to have a ⅛" bleed around the mousepad to ensure that you are getting complete coverage of the pad. You don't want to print an exact dimension image and have it misaligned. Making mouse pads is extremely easy and can be very profitable if you have the kinds of images people want. Just make sure that when you sublimate the pad with the heat press that you do it in a well ventilated area and you don't keep the pad on for too long. Some of the cheaper heat presses are not as accurate when it comes to an actual temperature read out, so take some time and learn your machine, even if it means wasting a few sublimation items. Be sure to take notes on the times and temperatures on each item as well so you don't have to relearn each time you dye sublimate. I'll have a video very soon about how to make money on sublimating Minecraft themed items.

Do you happen to know why you recommend using the cable over the wifi? Just curious what the reason is?

2 reasons. 1 print time takes longer over wifi. 2 bands or lines can appear on your print because of network lag and delay.

@@HillBrosTech Thanks that’s good to know. I don’t mind the speed but have you experienced the banding or lines first hand over WiFi? I think I’m going to give it a try for now until a cable can arrive since these Epson eco tanks don’t come with usb cables anymore.

@@phluid13 yes, I've seen the bands multiple times on wifi printing, across multiple brands of printers. Among the printing crowd "stop printing over wifi" is often heard as a solution to a number of printing issues.

@@HillBrosTech Thanks. I’ll have to make do with WiFi for now and see how it goes. Just starting out. So if I see the banding then at least I know why. Thanks for the tips.

@@phluid13 the other more common cause of banding is printing at normal or low res, if you select high/fine print quality, it takes longer but you don't get bands.

Minecraft, oh I want to vomit... . Still, you've made a nice looking mousepad. Very nice. Thanks for the the demo, you're good behind the camera, and this Sublimation process is interesting. . :-) Thank you, sincerely.

I have a question about your heat press. I don't have one yet, but was told they have to be anchored to your table. I really don't want to have to do that. I noticed yours must not be anchored if you were able to move it. What is your opinion on this matter. Thank you in advance for your opinion.

It doesn’t need to to be anchored,

    • @HillBrosTech

No need to anchor it. Maybe a different style that can tip over or is top heavy, but mine is completely stable as is.
