Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is scheduled to open in late 2023 within World Nature-the EPCOT neighborhood dedicated to understanding and preserving
D23: The Official Disney Fan Club is the official fan club for The Walt Disney Company. Founded in 2009, the organization is known mainly for its biennial exposition event, the D23 Expo. The name D23 refers to D for Disney and 23 for 1923, which is the year Walt Disney founded the company.

You would have absolutely LOVED Epcot in the '80s & '90s! It was a dark ride lover's paradise! Animitronics galore! I was one of those camcorder nerds in the early '90s taking extensive footage of Disney parks. We were the OG vloggers and didn't even know it.
They need more dark rides that are magical and more animatronics they are what makes the magic! I just have no desire to go back to Disney because they keep redoing things and need to move on to new adventures!
I LOVED EPCOT in the 80's.... Especially the Dinosaur Ride🔃❤

i go back and watch “Disney Dave” retro disney videos. Horizons. World of Motion, Body Wars Pavilion (forgot what it was called) i remember going on all those rides as a kid. 🤯

It really does look amazing and I had absolutely no idea it was gonna be that big, I thought it was going to be a small little area.
The way they did the Moana attraction is so beautiful. Some spots look like a painting in the background of spaceship Earth. Absolutely beautiful. You reminded me of a kid running through the water. I loved it😊😊😊

I love the new Moana area! It looks like such a fun place to learn and play. I loved it when you were running around in circles! The joy you expressed is what Disney is all about. Bringing out the child and wonder in us all.🤗
Well Nate, you almost changed my mind on this Moana attraction. It does look super cool, but I still think it would have been amazing in animal kingdom. I’ll still be checking it out though, of course
i agree theming wise, AK makes sense at first. I also think it might have got lost in the lineage of similar type settings and themes of AK. At least in Epcot its both unique and educational and thats a classic Epcot attraction.
@@josephvalerio6665 Yeah. To me this attraction fulfills the original promise of Communicore in that it informs both The Seas pavilion and The Land pavilion as water is a massive influence on both.
Agree. It is jarring and out of place in EPCOT. Diz Co. has totally discarded Walt's original focus for EPCOT: Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. What a shame.

Epcot tied the in with The Land, Living Seas, all about nature whereas Animal Kingdom's focus is animals.

This is such a cute area!! I know the kids would spend the entire day just playing with all the interaction! This is the only attraction they have done that reminds me of OLD Epcot ❤ idk why it brings back nostalgia for me!

It looks nice but not that magical it definitely has a mini golf look.

The Journey of Water attraction looks incredible. People need to stop being so skeptical. Also the Destination D23 event is exactly how the Disney parks panel should’ve been. Looking forward to the new stuff coming

Glad to see they are trying to do more with Figment. Epcot in the 80’s and 90’s had a lot of focus on learning. I would be able to write a paper and have the days I messed of school excused. It would always center around Epcot . Thanks for the videos, and especially for those of us who only make it once a year.

I think the Moana area looks better at night, but that's just my take on it. You were so dorky cute running through the water doors. You make it fun to follow you along on discovering new things.

The Moana attraction looks amazing! It opens to the public on the last day of our upcoming trip…we are booked for lunch at Epcot that day so really hope I get to walk through it as a final hurrah to our trip!

I saw several things that I would have scooped up! I was a little disappointed by the lack of major announcements this morning, but I guess it is to be expected given the state of Disney right now.
