Sad that, even after listening to the lecture by Rajiv Malhotra, the Indian diplomat there parroted the same old concocted theories of diversity and hindu-buddist divide. Glorifying islam and christianity. Pathetic state of Indian top leaders and diplomated.
His speech was not that bad. There was a Hindu-Buddhist divide, Adi Shankaracharya was mainly responsible for merging Buddhist philosophy into Hinduism and helping to create Vedanta. Hinduism in the Vedic form was under threat across India by Buddhism and Jainism. The Shankaracharya led the revival of Hinduism. I think what he meant by diversity was diversity within Hinduism there are diverse techniques and deities.
Hinduism and Buddhism are very closely related, even up to the cosmology. You can almost call Buddhism, Hinduism++. Hindu kingdoms were not partial but when some kings started to convert to Buddhism and Jainism (there are many examples in history, Ashoka is one), the Brahmin establishment felt threatened.
Rajiv, I commend you once again for delivering 'Dharma Darshan' and employing purva paksha as a means of challenging Western universalism propaganda. I will state ahead of time that, in my opinion, Christian Eberhart was a respectable and humble opponent. His attitude and position on Rajiv's concerns and grievances were comparable. Although, his responses to issues addressed and questions posed were more so coming from a sympathetic progenitor who felt guilty of the policies and actions his religious tradition has accumulated in its short lifetime on the planet, instead of candidly acknowledging the specific and distinct differences between Hindu Dharma and Christianity. I respect Eberhart for recognizing Christianity's biblical, interpretative fiascos but am disappointed in his ignorance of fundamental Hindu (Sanatana Dharma) principles. I guess I would assume a professed Doctor of Religious Studies would have a cursory understanding of his opponents position on metaphysics, cosmology, cosmogony, epistemology, etc...Regardless, overall I am elated that this dialogue took place and look forward to seeing more deep discussion on topics such as this one. Rajiv, I share your passion on encouraging Christianity to facilitate reformation within its doctrine. Robert Wells. I think this is an issue with the Eurocentric interpretation of Christianity. Jesus christ was probably more similar to an Upanishadic sage. "Heaven within you" = Godhead within you = Athma, "Turn the other cheek" = Ahimsa "Do unto yourself as you would unto others" = "Tat tvam asi" = We are all one. The Romans/Catholic Church later screwed up these teachings and added an endorsement of the old testament into the mix. This was the major issue with Christianity in my mind.

It was courageous of Mr. Christian Eberhart to represent Christianity against the formidable Shri. Rajiv Malhotra in front of a Hindu audience. Of course, Rajiv-ji won hands down. But what impressed me was the refreshing intellectual honesty of Mr. Eberhart. I foresee 2 things: 1. Other religious scholars may end up converting to Rajiv-ji's point of view, if more such interfaith debates are organized. 2. Because of the danger of Point 1, I expect no such events in future as non-Hindu religious leaders will dare not send their representatives to face Rajiv-ji ever again. I hope Maharishi Rajiv Malhotra is preparing effective successors to continue this Dharma Yudh, the defense of Hinduism.
When diverse faiths came to India the local rulers welcomed them and encouraged them to live among the Hindus, proselytize if they wanted and establish new faiths without any threats to them from the indigenous faiths. Listen to Rajiv's question at 43.10-60 and his response was "we have a course in christianity jointly taught by a muslim & a Sikh." This is totally not related to the question. He is trying to push "diversity" as "I as a white male is not favored, they are looking for asian, african american or a woman? Hinduism says we are essentially divine, viz Sat Chit Ananda, this is not only the conviction of Advaitins, but Vishishtadvaitins and Dvaitins as well. But it is generally the Advaitins that stress on the innate divinity of the Jiva than the other 2 since , Moksha only means discovering that the "Atman is Brahman". How is every one divine when so many horrible things are done by human beings ? My answer is this, we know that coal and diamond are essentially nothing but carbon. But the ability of coal to transform into diamond is there. Once the coal is transformed into Diamond it's innate Diamondness has becomes manifest. Apply the same analogy to man, although the divinity is inherent in man, it is not manifest just like the diamondness is not manifest in the coal. But with tapasya like how the pressure and heat is applied to coal for diamond to become manifest. Similarly for the divinity to manifest the tapasya is applied to the man's character and manas. This essentially transforms man's character and manas to manifest the inherent divinity. Such a person is a rishi.
Sir, if everything is one then how Brahman who is without material qualities and who is pure, acquire material body and become human.....this question is never solved by any great advaita thinkers including Adi shankaracharya or Vivekananda's......how did Brahman get material bodies and become jeeva which is against Vedas?

Incarnation is against ved and so Jesus. Learn sat chit annanda. The three qualities of God. Then you'll learn what this qualities are this says sat is truth , chitt is consciousness, and annanda is joy because of knowledge. And we as human have only two qualities of God which are sat and chit but no Ananda because of lack of knowledge. When we have knowledge about how everything and what we are and experience spirituality within us which is everything is truth and everything is pure, Then we become Ananda and attain moksha. But it is for only sometimes not as permanent. Also, trees metals fire air all this are having one qualities of God which is sat which means truth but they lack conscious and knowledge. Brahman is vibration which vibrates in everything and runs this world and puts will on everything. which is depicted as ohm. Brahaman's will is what starts to give mass to atoms ar prakriti to form everything which is present now. Brahaman's never do magic to create new thing. He is pure scientific because he has knowledge and he starts the process by his will by creating mass on atoms. Which is why we call him he is everywhere present in everything.

The 1886 Aborigines Protection Act and the later infamous 1905 Aborigines Act defined it in terms of 'half-caste' and ‘Aboriginal full-bloods.’ Classification under this Act meant Aboriginal people's lives were controlled by a Chief Protector. They could be legally separated from family, removed to reserves and missions, (the Stolen Generations), needed permission to marry, income was controlled and included a raft of other measures. Later under the 1936 Native Administration Act the definitions were broadened (effectively capturing more people under legislation) to include a ‘quadroon’ (1/4 Aboriginal) and ‘octoroon' (1/8 Aboriginal) and so on up the fractional scale up to ludicrous fractions such as 1/128th. They subsequently became central terms in the system of government constraint and control that was designated ‘protection'. The ‘caste classification’ was monitored by police. administrators decided if an Aboriginal people fell within the Act by doing maths calculations, or, simply guessing. Aboriginal people were simply ascribed castes such as ‘near white’ ‘about ¾ abo,’ ‘copper coloured’ or ‘by appearance [name] is a light hc [half caste] about ⅜ in colour’. Aboriginal people were so baffled by these nonsensical judgements that The Chief Commissioner would write to them to explain exactly what their caste was. These categories bore no relationship to Aboriginal society - as if a persons skin colour or the way they were described by the government affected their ability to pass on traditional knowledge - yet these categorisations defined government policies and affected entire generations. Similar systems operated in all states of Australia and from the time of European occupation to 1972 there are at least 67 different categorizations what it is to be an Aboriginal person in various legislation based on notions of race, blood and caste.

26-year-old like me is more than enough to crack Eberhart's brain in 60 minutes and I'm practicing yoga from just 2 years initiated by Siddhi as a result my headache problem is gone without drugs and then I came to know we have something in India that whole world is ignorant about including my communist parents, not now anymore. Actually, as per the original Sanskrit words, the अ is pronounced distinctly at the end of words like योग. Foreigners pronounce it as योगा with an आ. The correct pronunciation is ग with a very clear अ sound at the end, as opposed to आ. The vowel अ is present at the end of योग. Indians who speak Hindi actually remove the vowel अ from the end of योग while speaking. That is a mistake ...

I think what he meant by diversity was diversity within Hinduism there are diverse techniques and deities.

It was courageous of Mr. Christian Eberhart to represent Christianity against the formidable Shri. Rajiv Malhotra in front of a Hindu audience. Of course, Rajiv-ji won hands down. But what impressed me was the refreshing intellectual honesty of Mr. Eberhart.
I foresee 2 things:
1. Other religious scholars may end up converting to Rajiv-ji's point of view, if more such interfaith debates are organized.
2. Because of the danger of Point 1, I expect no such events in future as non-Hindu religious leaders will dare not send their representatives to face Rajiv-ji ever again.

But it is generally the Advaitins that stress on the innate divinity of the Jiva than the other 2 since , Moksha only means discovering that the "Atman is Brahman". How is every one divine when so many horrible things are done by human beings ? My answer is this, we know that coal and diamond are essentially nothing but carbon. But the ability of coal to transform into diamond is there. Once the coal is transformed into Diamond it's innate Diamondness has becomes manifest. Apply the same analogy to man, although the divinity is inherent in man, it is not manifest just like the diamondness is not manifest in the coal. But with tapasya like how the pressure and heat is applied to coal for diamond to become manifest. Similarly for the divinity to manifest the tapasya is applied to the man's character and manas. This essentially transforms man's character and manas to manifest the inherent divinity. Such a person is a rishi.

Why did he go for meditation for 40 days (similar to Buddha who meditated before enlightenment)? What is the process of this meditation ? Why did satens take test of Jesus knowing him as the son of GOD? Who taught Jesus how to meditate ? I do not know anything about Jesus after his birth & before he started meditating ! God begs us to come over to his side because he want to give us eternal life when he comes again. If your family is going to die and there is a chance for to stop it you would do anything but the most God can do is beg you after all He has given us the power of choice . The Christian seems to be mainly trying to stay neutral and express tolerance of other religions and point out that "Christianity" is highly fractured. The Catholics are most likely the largest sect, but there are hundreds even thousands of other sects of Christianity.
The Hindu gentleman should be informed, that to proselytize is a Christian mandate. Some sects place more importance on evangelism efforts than others do.
There is nothing to be done about this on their part as they are simply following the commands of their holy book.
What Hindus and others need to realize is the only way to combat Christian evangelism, is to not allow their children to be indoctrinated by Christians, as that is their most common method of proselytizing/converting.
Also, it would do you well to read up on and, watch some UA-cam videos, on the subject of Atheism among the English speaking peoples as their primary debates are Christian VS Atheist. This is a good way to learn the faults of the Christian bible. Once you understand the bibles faults, you can easily avoid a Christians efforts to convert you or your children.

So Hinduism and the earlier cults of Christianity through Isaac (son of Abraham )and some prophets comes second but started small while the Abraham s other son did the same but Muhammad fucked it all and went full on military forming strict rules to takeover this small cult as they had a lot of money .Muslims have 2 divisions and one believes the above theory and so are more moral and forgiving while the other sect is still a bit militaraic with killings etc. So we can actually further argue the facts as Hinduism and Christianity (the initial cult) are almost equally old (it was Emperor Constantine who actually made Christianity mainstream)

26-year-old like me is more than enough to crack Eberhart's brain in 60 minutes and I'm practicing yoga from just 2 years initiated by Siddhi as a result my headache problem is gone without drugs and then I came to know we have something in India that whole world is ignorant about including my communist parents, not now anymore. I can understand foreigner pronouncing "aa" at the end of every Hindi word. For example yoga. The pronunciation shall be yog rather than yoga. The name and pronunciation is Vivekanand rather than Vivekananda
Actually, as per the original Sanskrit words, the अ is pronounced distinctly at the end of words like योग. Foreigners pronounce it as योगा with an आ. The correct pronunciation is ग with a very clear अ sound at the end, as opposed to आ. The vowel अ is present at the end of योग. Indians who speak Hindi actually remove the vowel अ from the end of योग while speaking. That is a mistake ...
