A Fun Summer Day At LEGOLand Florida! | Tractor Ride, New Indoor Playground & Baby Care Center!

- In today's vlog we head to LEGOLand Florida, which is our favorite place to take Jackson! He can do so much here, so he always has a blast! We started the day with a ride on the grand carousel, then we headed into Duplo Valley. This is the area that's geared more towards little kids, so we always spend the most time here. Jackson rode the Tractor Ride and even got to drive the tractor and sit in the front seat! He loved it! Then we check out the indoor playground, this is the first time we've been inside this building and we loved it! There's also a really nice baby care center inside, we give you a little look around and even use the highchairs to feed Jackson his lunch. This area is so so useful and we highly recommend checking it out if you have an infant or toddler. Then we end the day with a search for lunch, honestly the lines were a bit too long this trip so we ate on the way home but on our next trip we'll try the new burger menu for sure. We also do a little update around the park as well and end our day with a trip into The BIG Store where of course we have to buy a new LEGO set! We hope you had fun hanging out with us today! Hi Tim and Jenn! That sling you were trying to figure out in the care center is actually a safe swing for autistic children. It provide vestibular movement, which helps the neurons in the brain settle down when they are over-stimulated. Autism heavily affects the 5 senses and they can overload when too many sensory things are happening at once. This causes what non-autistic families might perceive as a tantrum, when in actuality they are sensory overloaded and at times they can even be rendered deaf temporarily. The swing is very settling to them. Why not a regular swing you might ask? Because this type of swing closes in tightly on the body, providing a "hug" at the same time....VERY SOOTHING for an autistic. What a great thing for Legoland to add to their care area!!!!
The swing also acts like a “cuddle”. A park has a lot of over stimulation so the swing helps to make a person with autism feel “cuddled”. My 24 year old nephew, who has autism, still likes a swing like that. Makes my heart happy to see that in a theme park. 💕

I love experiencing what it is like to be a parent through these videos since my wife and I are unable to have kids. Its been an emotional yet joyful experience watching these.

JACKSONS happy smile is just what we need TODAAAAYYYYY....
I don’t know if you guys know this already but I always see you placing Jackson facing forward to slide down slides. If the slide is tall and especially if Jackson has shoes on, it’s safer for him to slide down on his tummy (still feet first). That way if his shoes get stuck on the slide he won’t flip forward and hit his head.
Jackson is so cute. He is getting so big. Before you know it you guys will be hitting the roller coasters with him.
I remember when y’all used to go to Legoland pre-Jackson and would point out stuff that people with kids could do when they visited. Now you’re doing some of those things with your kid! It’s sweet how things come full circle. 🥰🥰
The swing is a sensory tool for calming
Looks like so much fun for a little one. Look at that big boy sitting up there and driving all by himself without a care in world. Love the smile on his face on the rides.
That quiet area for kids with autism is awesome! My son gets major sensory overload in parks and swinging / compression is very soothing. I love that they offer that!

the first clear memories i have of going to a theme park are when my grandparents took me to dollywood. i was maybe 4 or 5 and absolutely terrified of any kind of ride LOL! but they were so patient with me, and now i’ll get on anything 💖 i miss them a lot. seeing jackson go to legoland reminded of those days. thank you for sharing a part of your lives with us.

The swing helps calm kids with autism, Aspergers or if they have issues with noise sensitivity. My niece has noise sensitivity issues, and swinging or rocking helps her.
You should put the location/year each rock is from on it somewhere in sharpie or something! You won’t remember in 5 years

I have a video of my son when he was about 3 "driving" a semi-truck ride at our state fair. He was so serious about it, as if he were truly driving...and now he's graduated from high school. Jackson driving the tractor gave me all the feels. Treasure each and every moment you have with him because you'll wake up one day and he'll be grown.

When you get to head out to CA again you’ll have to visit our Legoland. There’s an Aquarium & Water Park including all the great Legoland attractions......& Apple Fries.

Hey! I saw the Baby Care center had the Nemours logo on it! I was an Occupational Therapist at Nemours duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE! Mr. duPont loved Florida, and there has been a Nemours clinic In Jacksonville for ages. Now there is a wonderful hospital in Orlando as well! That swing is typically used for calming someone who is becoming overstimulated. This can be used for someone who has a diagnosis of autism, or many other diagnoses or even without a diagnosis. In this care center though I don’t think it’s just for having fun. What a great idea to have in a place that can overwhelm someone so quickly!

Would love to go to Legoland some day. I may be in my 50s but I am still a 100% kid inside😉. Oh when are you going to update your Logo, there are you and Jenn and your sweet puppy angels are there but, Jackson needs to be there he is a down right miracle and other than your wedding day the other most happiest day in your life was when he made you parents. I am not being picky or anything I just noticed and thought wait no Jackson!? Keep the fantastic job. Cannot wait to see the bonsai tree build I love that one and the Disney ones too

Oh, how I miss those days with my children. It was so fun to experience their exploration of new things and their joy in just playing. My two are twelve now and still enjoy playing at the park, but those cute, sweet days are few and far between now. 😁

Nice choice with the Bonsai tree there! I've got mine with the Cherry Blossom because... pink. :-) (and frogs!) And Lego has brought out more of those 'Fan Ideas' sets, you can vote for them via Lego Ideas'! The Central Perk one and the Sesame Street set were fan Ideas too :-)

Jackson was ready to go haha he's like lets go no time for waiting!!! He was so happy to ride the carousel!!! And I love how he found a rock and didn't like that one and picked up another one haha!!! He did such a great job driving the tractor the Tesla is next haha!!! Wow he went down a big slide that was so cute!!! And I live in Illinois and yes we have a lot of pumpkins!!! And yum I need to try those Apple fries they always look so good!!! And how awesome I love the 100 acres lego set that is so cute!!! And ooooh can't wait to see the bonsai tree on Father's day!!!

What a great area to bring your baby/child. Baby care center, quiet place to change, eat. Very cool.
I know everything is just popping open, left and right all over, but I'm surprised they have such a high-touch thing as "build with Legos" open right now. I LOVE that you've started a "rock memory jar" with Jackson! I think it's so smart that they have the list of rides next to each height marker at the entrance to the park - easier to see exactly what's what, and what the child can on on, instead of just "guesstimating", or trying to figure it all out from a guidemap. If WDW doesn't do this (have never seen it, but haven't been in awhile) they definitely should! I would definitely like to try LegoLand, if I ever get back to FL. Very nice baby/child care center. That Lego bonsai tree is cool!!

I'm in the process of building the Bonsai, the pink flowers look like frogs. My grandson (8) built my Steamboat Willie, then we joined forces to build Mickey and Minnie with the camera. We have also built the big coaster.
I've collected rocks for many years. I've got several decorative jars full. Find to be reminded of journeys!

Haven’t been to Legoland yet but may be in Florida in late 2022 so might make a point of visiting. Will definitely try Apple Fries but would pick caramel to dip them in. Fun watching Jackson drive that tractor all by himself - sure is growing up fast!

The sling is sort of a sensory depravation device. It helps people calm down by blocking outside stimuli.
So glad to see this video. We live on the same lake ( just moved to FL) and have thought about checking it out.

My younger son is dying to go to Legoland when he gets home from school and watches he’s going to love this vlog 💖 I feel like he’s to old for that park already but I might be wrong he’s almost 7 and loves fast rides and coasters. He loved space mountain that’s the biggest coaster he has ridden 💙
Not too old, I went with my nieces and nephew and they were 7, 9, and 13 and they all had a blast!
Just took my 12 yr old nephew and 5 yr old nephew. The 12yr old had a great time. He loved it. My 13yr old nephew also loves legoland.
