You mention Jensens' pub. It was opened as the Bell & Anchor, the name was derived from the former Blue Bell pub, which once stood nearby, and the steelworks Anchor site project which was being built at the time. It became Jensens' then Dr Watsons followed by other names Jack Dempsey's, The New Venue, Onyx and finally The Foundry Arms.

I lived on alanby street with my nanna for years in the 80s but then moved to brigg and from brigg back to scunny cottage beck rd, the least said about that the better 😮
