Ahh, the smell of early evening dew, burning hydrocarbons and somewhere over there someone is grilling onions for the hotdogs...beautiful late summer's eve!
I'm one of the feature chair person at Albany and the M line up is owned by our family. This was a awesome line up of international tractors that was brought to the show. Me and my brother couldn't be happier with the turn out. Great video!!
In the late 1960’s i worked for a roofing company as a truck driver and I remember one of our jobs was at the International Harvester company in Doncaster UK i have done a search and apparently they bought the site in 1938 and produced ammunition during the war and produced the first Farmall tractor in 1949 they closed the doors in 2007 having produced 435.000 tractors ,that was a fantastic show
After watching your tour of the Albany tractor show I think I better go this year. Lots of smiles and chuckles here as you take us with you with your comments and quips Squatch rocks!
Part of what blows my mind is just how much the state of the art advanced in the 15-20 years following. Here you were looking at a 1920 Titan ... and only 18 years later comes the D2 Cat. Amazing show! thanks for the tour!
Squatch, on the Cub with the center mount disk plow. My dad used one of those on his small truck farm for years. Was a great little plowing combination.
The dollars that go into researching, rebuilding and restoring what can be salvaged kinda make redoing the Cat crawlers look inexpensive. But the joy of bringing these tractors back to life doesn't have a price tag.
Yes, there must be some real commitment in rebuilding those old tractors, when you start making big castings and machining those huge cogwheels! That is nice to see some one wanting to take that on.
Those old tractors are a real testament to the great ingenuity and craftsmanship of early American industry....beauty and utility....it really doesn't get much better than that.
Squatch I'm glad you got to be in your zin garden for a weekend. With the changing of jobs and getting everything ready gor an up coming trade that I'm thinking will finally kick off my channel hopefully, no time to gwt my zin going this passed summer. Hopefully I'll be able to change that this winter.
You really brought the show to us! Couldn't ask for a better tour. Watching your restoration videos has given me far more perspective to the talents and passion that goes into making such a display. Seeing the Super M standing tall among them, it brings me joy to know that there are more like you. Much obliged for your efforts to share it all with us.
My grandpa had an "H". I can remember standing on the foot plate between his knees and steering, with his help of course. I can tell a Farmall by the engine sound and hearing that sound reminds me of those childhood years and that old tractor.
The Red Tractor guys always turn out and make a show. Those new cast parts on the early tractors are impressive. The end of the fall show season is always a bit of a bummer. You guys up north have some really great shows. Thanks for taking us along. Be Safe.
Another great video, Squatch! Having grown up on a F-20 and a 'M' this was like driving through Heaven.. Thanks! I tried to make it over there for the show but ended up running a Case IH 8230 for a friend. Combining soybeans comes first.
Just love the view of looking down the hood at the nice, shiny paint, the clear gauges and watching the weather cap on the stack! Such a pleasant, serene, peaceful view. Sorta wish I still had my Ford 2000 series.
Absolutely awesome to see the work that is being done to restore these machines. I know from experience, it does take money and time and expertise. But in the end it is so satisfying to see your work and your machine come alive
@@squatch253 the other thing is when you have restored something and you show somebody else showing it at a tractor show and they are amazed because they've never seen anything like it. And their kids see it. That is where it always pays off, just the look on their faces.
Awesome Albany show, Squatch! Thanks for taking us along. Glad to hear about the excellent turnout of people and vintage tractors. Question about show buttons: can folks who attend but not display anything purchase the show button. They make for nice little souvenirs and when I start attending, I would like to collect. Thanks buddy! 🇺🇸🚜👍
I'd give my right arm to see this show! Great job thanks for sharing. Appreciate all the hrs that goes into making this video! All the old equipment that built this country. And no I didn't forget about the teams of horses that broke this land as well.
Thank you fo taking us along! My first tractor was a Cat 2Ton ...all after were IH... TD6,T6 TD9 dozer. Love to see more crawlers ... but red is always wonderful!!
Looks like an absolutely MASSIVE show, especially compared to the shows I'm used to around me. Biggest one I attend is the Missouri River Valley Steam Engine Association show. Usually a few hundred tractors total, not a few hundred of one brand. The IH Chapter 1 did hold their annual meeting there this year and the show featured IH. One of these days I'd like to try and make it to Mount Pleasant, IA. I hear thats another massive show.
Hey Scuatch, I know it's quite a haul for you, but the 2022 Red Power Round Up is coming to Springfield Ohio in June. I'll be taking my 450 LP to that show (only red tractor I own) and possibly my K-5 IH truck if I can get it drivable by then. Would really enjoy seeing you, Senior, and the Super M at that show!
Excellent video it's nice to see you do the walk around of the tractors. I always wondered how they got them large gas tractors started I have never seen one with the pony motor it makes perfect sense to have that. I was wanting to get to the Albany show but my work schedule didn't work out. I did get to the show at Rollag Mn western Minnesota steam threshers reunion
I was to the red power roundup in huron a few years back that was a heck of a show from all across the country unique stuff. I was working out there and my room just across the street how convenient....
I've seen a few m-ta's in my life and literally 2 md-ta's in my life awesome machines really miss my super m haven't had the time to rebuild it. The sound is just music. I can't wait to be able to bring my 60 jd to tractor shows and pulls and parades next year

I have to wonder if the Titan came before the Mogul. Those Titans in the parade look to be one very small step removed from steam tractors, whereas the Moguls look closer to 1920s tractors or trucks.
Did you see the M with the front wheel assist on it lol I seen it and had todo a double take. One guy said that ih made a factory front wheel assist M.but that one at Albany was homebuilt

Absolutely brilliant video Squatch 👌 yes love seeing the pristine condition restoration but also good to see them in totally original condition 👍 had the pleasure o drivin an F20 over here once and our club is about to become the custodian of a 10/20👍
Leave it loaded and come on down to Temple Tx October 2. Load the D2 behind it and we'll have two old cats in their working clothes. This will be the second outing for my D47U and first time with the pony running and not needing a pull start.
The little cub with the 152 disc plow at 15:09 they work really well for plowing. That power steering system is really interesting never seen any thing like that on a cub.
so great to see folks out and enjoying themselves w/out masks..COVID took a toll on all of us in many ways..football stadiums are full..people are traveling..and most importantly..living their lives..and having fun enjoying their hobbies...peace and health to all..great video..
The very old tractors remind me when my grandpa took me to a private collection in 1990 to see some of the old time stuff. Unfortunately none of them where running but was fun to look at them anyway. That excitement I won't forget. Very interested to know more about the latest M series Farmalls that had torque multipliers in the gearbox. Google might have a answer or two I hope.
Interesting to see those old Moguls and Titans. It appears all they did was take a steam traction engine of the day and just replace the steam parts with an internal combustion engine.
18:40 Well, that brings back a lot of memories. We had that exact same C & two row cultivator set up. I couldn't begin to tell you how many hours of my youth were spent on it. Not a lot of acres in relation to the hours, mind you. Two rows at a time goes kind of slow. 😦
Too bad you didn't live a little closer here to Michigan so you could do the tractors across the Mackinac Bridge. Tractors of all makes and sizes drive across the Mackinac Bridge but it's one way so you have to truck them back across.
To think that in some cases the little detail or accessory added like the Ihc lock or a piece of original paper work can be worth as much or more than the machine itself
Outstanding video, thank you for taking time out of your touring all the tractors etc there to film and share with everyone 👍👍👍🍻 Your shout out to Pete while at the MD was great, and a testament to your character 🤜🤛
