There was many 7ft wide 5th wheels made from the 70's thru the 90's that were very light 2000 to 4000 lbs. I owned a few of them and have one now. I'm glad they are building them again. Trust me at 7ft wide I can go many places that normal trailer cant.
@@SignalCorps1 I have a Escape 5.0 TA and midsize truck. But now thinking about upgrade to this Micro Mini and get a 1/2 ton truck. I hope that day comes soon.
I like the smaller fifth wheel design. Looking forward to seeing the other floor plans in this series. My only complaint would be the location of the TV relative to the couch. Hopefully one of the other floor plans solves that issue.
Pivot-out TV is an easy fix. As small as the RV is a small pivot is all you need. Little stuff like TV Mounts are things we will swap out for folks. no sweat.
I just found all 5 floor plans on the Winnebago website. They have a 2405RL that has the rear couch or optional theater seats which look straight on to the TV.
I love smaller rvs, I really like this design. My only issue is the bathroom, I'm not crazy about the sink toilet arrangement, otherwise this is awesome. I can't wait to see more like it.
I’ve been anticipating this video since I heard of this new product from Winnebago and of course you didn’t disappoint. They actually taught this as being mid-size truck towable (Colorado/New Ranger) but I’m glad you said 1/2 ton because I’m just not convinced. We have Winnebago Vista MH which I love but had this been out a couple of years ago it might have swayed me. I can’t wait to see the bunkhouse videos I think this will be a great line for families that like to travel. Big fifth wheels are nice but tough to maneuver. What a great idea from Winnebago! Josh, I’ve been a fan for years keep up the amazing videos and I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I had a 19.5 foot 5th wheel camper in the 1990's and it was a dream to pull with a S10 truck. 7 ft wide, single axle and the roof line was lower yet as we are small it was great. Now this Micro Mini in the 2405BH is what we want to trade a travel trailer up to. Shopping for the right truck now. Just the two of us. Wish the forward roof was a little lower or more aerodynamic. With the setup 5th wheeling using the S10 I got 17 mpg highway. Wouldn't mind having it back.
My son was impressed towing his 1/2 ton Jayco fifth wheel with one slide out , weighing 7,300 with his ford 150 eco boost Max tow package. My husband try out to. He was impressed. We drove 12 hrs with no problem going up hills. We wouldn’t tow any heavier. 7,300 was perfect weight. They’ve gone camping in it and loved It. My son said he wouldn’t tow a travel trailer again. He was so comfortable and at ease.
About time that we are getting 5W that do not double as a Class 8 semi trailer! I gave up looking at 5W but this one has me interested again. Even started to drool! Thanx for showing this Josh. Can’t wait to see variations on the floor plan.
Just got marked down for a manager's picks loss leader sale. So you picked a good time to shop this one! You can see it here (if it's still available): bit.ly/2RNoV95
I use to work for Winnebago for 10+ years. I put in a suggestion every year that they needed to get into the travel trailer business lols. Glad they finally did.
I personally love the smaller plans Winnebago is offering with the Micro Minnie. Very eager to see a 2405BHDB video from you soon! Side rant: I absolutely love that you keep the focus on this being more 1/2 ton towable. Winnebago states these plans "can be pulled by most midsize trucks! " in the Micro Minnie overview. It seems RV manufacturers keep insisting on marketing fifth wheels to the wrong people. If you're buying a brand new midsize truck, and you build it with everything to reach the max towing capabilities, you might be in the ~7k lb range for towing ability. Why advertise RV's with DRY weights of close to 6k lbs as being towed by "most" of these vehicles? Same issue with the half ton fifth wheels. I've heard you say in other videos about customers who have maxed out their truck and can do over 10k lbs. Yeah, there are people who do build them that way, but if you ever shop around for a used half ton pickup, or even just talk to your neighbors at a campground, you'll find 9 out of 10 aren't equipped that way, so they can instead just tow ~5k-7k lbs. When push comes to shove, most people tend to spend their money on the convenience features in the trucks ( heated seats, rear row controls, etc ), rather than things that grow or max out their towing capacity. That, and from a few people I've talked to, some people don't realize that with just one or two choices they made during the original build/configuration of their pickup, there is such a fall-off from the towing ratings compared to what they saw in the commercials. Ultimately, I hope these Micro Minnie models encourage other manufacturers to build for similar target weight ranges, I just hope that they don't all market them as midsize towables. I hear time and time again in your videos, your hesitancy to ever broadly state something being half-ton towable. That honesty and transparency is just one of the reasons I continue to watch.
"Can" and "Should" don't always line up. I'm glad to know you're picking up on those differences. And thanks for the viewership and comments/questions. keep them coming!
Great review- since I’m in Colorado I went to a local dealer to look at this unit and the sales guy was new and we started talking about UA-cam videos-- and I mentioned watching you for information and he said he does the same - I was surprised he was so honest- but when I do decide which unit to buy I will definitely contact you to get a price - thanks for all your great reviews
It's pretty common. I've video trained multiple factory contacts and dealership sales people alike at this point. Whenever I am at something like a multi-dealer training session I hear it a few times. At the open house recently some fella thought he was a big shooter tried buying my services away from my family's business. Unfortunately for him you can't buy blood and I'm not something you can buy like new computer to improve a dealership I'm not selling out my family here for a few bucks lol
Nice design. Glad to see movement away from the 5th wheel behemoths. Would like to see/hear more detail about the solar input. We do much off-grid camping, use solar as a primary power source and prefer to have a solar controller installed on the interior of the trailer with panels feeding into it. That walk-on roof space looks like prime solar install territory. I'd like to see a rear dinette with windows on three sides. Most sites we camp at have the best view off the back of the trailer and only neighbors to look at on either side.
I'd love to see an overview of the bunkhouse models of these as soon as you get one. I have a Titan and we are looking at upgrading from our Coachmen clipper bunkhouse. These small fifth wheels look absolutely perfect for my wife, myself and our 8 year old.
Can’t wait to see one of these in person. Please review the rear bunkhouse floor plan when/if you get one in stock. Trying to convince wife it would be good for our family.
Great product!!!! One of the most financially prohibiting and intimidating things about buying an RV is, do I have to invest also on another vehicle or change the one I already own?. This solves the problem for people who already have an F-150 or a 1500 truck. They can use their daily driver and don't have to invest in a F-350 or 3500 truck. It is also great that you will never go near the 75% of your truck capacity.
I'm glad you "get it." A lot of people aren't going to understand how much this is going to save people in the push/pull of a Truck and Trailer combination.
Luv it....great for double towing with rzr or jet skies.....anybody with toys and a 3/4 ton will luv it....they just have to think about it and then OMG it's exactly what I need and want....less hassle than a toy hauler....I like my trailers spotless with no weird toxic smells from toys when I'm trying to sleep....thanks for the video.....I'm buying one for sure....
A good throwback to the pre 2000's fifth wheels like the Shadow Cruisers and other little companies I've actually seen a few vintage 2 storey trailers around, can't name them off hand if I ever find the links I'll post em. Nice to see they're putting a window in the oven like yer house so's ye can actually see yer grub inside LOL.
Josh, I wanted to commend you on bringing up the point about a truck's payload in this video. I agree that these new Micro Minnie's are probably the only traditional 5'ers (excluding the fiberglass Scamp/Escape products) that can be towed by a properly configured (i.e. max-payload option) half-ton truck. I saw another video, with a spokesman from Winnebago stating that these could be towed by a Chevy Colorado or a Ford Ranger!!!! I can't believe they would make that statement. Hopefully people do their research and get a proper tow vehicle so as to not put themselves, or anyone else on the road in danger. Keep up the awesome vids. Cheers.
Please do more videos on the micro mini rv's really opened up the idea for me to maybe purchase a 5th wheel I also really like winnabagos 29 middle bunk would like to see one in a video
I’m a fan of the narrower body. Less brick is less sway and less load on the truck drivetrain if I’m going LD, like cross-country. I’d still only do it with a 3/4 ton truck, wanting spare cargo capacity. My half ton RAM wouldn’t work, but a 2500 would with CCC to spare. Thanks for the look at W’s narrow body 5’er!!
I have to say from my point of view, I hated the design so much that in June I bought one for myself.... I have at present about 4400 miles on her, and love it. I purchased it in Ft Myers, FL, I traveled from there to Fort Brag North Carolina up to Sullivan Indiana, Indianapolis Indiana, then to Pigeon Forge, TN then Edenton NC, then back to Enfield, CT. My only changes to the unit, was a memory foam mattress, and I bought a shower head from Wall Mart It gives me the same type of pressure that I get from m;y home shower. I traded in a 25 ft tag a long that every time an 18 wheeler went buy I thought I would lose it. Gas mileage on the old trailer was 9 miles to the gallon at 60 mph, the 2405 RG gives me 12.5 at 60 mph, and you don't get the bouncing around when an 18 wheeler passes. Bottom line if I have to buy another trailer tomorrow I would buy another one. For 2 people maybe with a child this is a nice trailer, setup is a snap, much less work then with the other trailer.... I have had a few people follow me into a gas station to ask what mods I needed for my 1500 Dodge to pull this trailer.. I tell them they can look underneath if they want to, but the only mod performed was the 5th wheel hitch that was installed in the bed of the truck. Note, I drive 60 mph for 2 reasons, (1.) get the best milage, and (2.) ST tires are not rated for 70 mph or better.
What a brilliant offering from Winnebago! Being State/National park campers we had dismissed 5th wheels because of their 12'-13' height. This puppy is only slightly taller than the bumper pulls we have been considering. Back to the drawing board for us ..... again. Just a couple of questions. 1. Is the 26'9" length from the bumper to the nose (bedroom area) or just to the box (the front storage compartments)? 2. Does this have solar prep on the roof for permanent panels? Your Southern California fans, Andy & Kim P.S. Just wanted to let you know, when we make the final decision for our final retirement rig we will be giving you a chance at the deal. We live 2193 miles away, but after all these are TRAVEL trailers!
1.) *LENGTH:* Total tip to tail length 2.) *SOLAR PREP:* Not currently on the roof. I've been advising them that would be an ideal addition to this product. It's under consideration for future builds, but not set in stone at this time.
Do either of the two floor plans you have coming not have a slideout? Or are slideouts always part of the new Winnabago fifth wheels? Can the sofa be swapped out for two recliners or captian chairs? Love your videos. Merry Christmass and a happy peaceful and prosperous New Year to you, your family and everyone at Haylett.

Would be nice to see Apex come out with a Nano fifth wheel series like this, with a few different floor plans. Would love to get one like this with Azdel! Nice to have a fifth wheel option for smaller trucks though that is an alternative to the Scamp 5er.
Fun Fact: Winnebago recently made an unplanned change to azdel use in their sidewalls just like an Apex. Their trailers AND fifth wheels will all feature the new material.
I love it, I'd only change 1 thing, on a select few of Winnebago 5th wheels they made a reinforced towing hitch on the back. Put that on this model and it would be the perfect half ton 5th wheel.
If we had not upgraded to a 2018 Ram 2500,this or the rear bath in green would've been our choice. I like the idea and the storage.the roof is even solar friendly.
@@UtahRoadbase I cannot speak for Dave, but I think what he's saying is "Had we not just got a bigger truck with the idea of a larger fifth wheel, then this one would've worked for our previous truck." Perhaps Dave can verify my assessment.
I have a Jay Feather 7 23rd. There are some similarities between the layout of these models. I prefer mine but I would love to have the quality of materials in this one compared to mine.
@@JoshtheRVNerd Well, we are Theme park junkies and travel, so when it is time, I will see what you offer for the BH model. Thank you again for the great video.
A half ton truck may be able to tow this camper if truck has a camper package towable. Just make sure a half ton truck can stop the fifth wheel when fully loaded.
Mike jones agreed, i recently bought a bumper pull travel trailer and i have a 19 ram 1500 with the tow package and built in trailer brake controller. I can honestly say with the controller it stops with little stress on the truck. Very grateful ram has them from the factory
@@JoshtheRVNerd - It would have been nice if they gave it some time to cultivate an audience. I continue to look at 1/2 ton towable 5th wheels, but most of those that say they are, are really on the edge of my 5.0 F150's comfort zone. With electric vehicles, smaller trucks and cars, I keep hoping the RV industry will understand there is a huge market out there for either smaller or most certainly lighter campers. My E-Pro is a good start, but I still feel the is a huge niche out there to be exploited.
I believe this is what we are looking for! Great review, appreciate your honesty. When we're ready, we'll be in contact. Been subscribed to your channel for about 6 months.
TY for watching Brent. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but this RV and in fact the entire Micro Minnie FW series has been removed from production. We have a few other smaller/lighter FW offerings, but nothing specialized like this
This is a very interesting concept, wonder who else will follow? Perhaps with a full width but still short and light. As a know nothing it does seem like it would be easier to tow with the pivot at the rear axle of the tow vehicle instead of at the bumper?
This would be the perfect size for my husband and I!! My only wonder is if it is available with a king bed in the front? It could be twins in the front that converts or a regular king. I wouldn’t care if I can only walk down the middle during the day then I can convert at night. If not do you have a suggestion for a 1/2 ton towable king bed? Thanks for all the great videos. You are my favorite
King is N/A on this series. I have thrown the idea of the twin-to-Kingvertible bed on these at them, but it would require some re-engineering of some things up front they didn't have time to tackle immediately.
This is an awesome model. I would love to see this in a 4 season model with frameless windows...a second slide on the other side..and a small garage to fit a couple dirtbikes and a toolbox...or a quad and a toolbox. Heres the kicker...I want to see it with gvwr less than 9400 lbs. I dont think its possible but that is my dream. Who knows maybe one day it will happen. However this is definitely a step closer
@@tedschmitt178 no sweat. I've never been the pushy type. If you ever were event passingly curious about a swap-out figure, then you know where to find us. Otherwise enjoy a great season full of happy camping!
I fell in love with this trailer after I found it on your video. I drive a 2014 f150 (supercrew, 5.5 ft bed) with a common tow package. Unfortunately, the max payload for my truck is 1,440 LB. With a 1,050 LB hitch weight i won’t be able to make this fifth wheel work (the fiancé, dog, and myself would push it over the limit). Interestingly enough I see on the Winnebago website that their Minnie plus fifth wheels have a floor plan (25rks) that comes in with a hitch weight of just 880 LB. It’s crazy that I could tow that trailer but not this “micro minnie”. Do you foresee the additional micro Minnie fifth wheel floor plans having hitch weights under 1,000 LB or probably not? I am waiting to see some details on those. I love your videos and appreciate the work. Thanks for any insight you may have on this matter. Brian
@@JoshtheRVNerd is there an option to have the stainless steel appliances in either the micro minnie travel trailers or the minnie travel trailers? thanks for the reply.
Is this the smallest/shortest 5th wheel available besides the escape 5th wheels? I like the idea of the 5th wheels for more room and better, more stable towing which naturally comes w 5th wheel trailers. Also...when like this...it says it's 25ft or 24ft...thats from tip of the front cap to the bumper correct? The length is a bit intimidating but if 4ft is actually in the rear of the tow truck...its not so bad.
I really like this one. If they could get that thing close to a 0-100 degree rated. That would be fantastic. I think what little weight that would add wouldn't hurt at all. Is Winnebago still azdel sides? Be nice if they did used it up top also. I've seen a lot of Winnebago the delaminating roof issues videos from the past. Not sure I'm sold on their process. Maybe a coating of Armor roof right off the top.
Hi Jethro! A few points to clarify for you -- Winnebago isn't "still" using Azdel -- they *just* started using it in their towable RVs beginning around Sept/Oct of 2019. Also, their roofing couldn't have delaminated as they do not use laminated roofing. I'm not sure what you might've seen. Azdel isn't usually used in a horizontal/load bearing area because it does not have as much strength vs. wood decking when used that way. Plus, it would take absurdly large amounts of Azdel to make up the difference to make a roof walkable. The weight savings would be lost and cost would be high
I've watched so many videos I got confused with timing. I was thinking it 2018 they started with Azdel. I guess I was under the impression that Azdel was a stiffer/thicker product, but it makes sense that it would be cost prohibitive for roofing systems. I think that if Winnebago can make this trailer more for a full-time user that could caught in sub freezing temps due to work, with skirting and the smaller area to heat up this little fifth wheel would make a big impact in that market. I really like this version now I'm torn between this and a couples turtle friendly option even tho it's just me. Ugh so many choices. Lol I want to thank you for your response and the all the hard work you put into informing us of all the various ways RVs are built and the options available. Now I feel like I am truly looking for my second camper the first time.
*So the answer I'm about to give you is one I greatly dislike but there's really no denying its accuracy:* The reason MFGs DO or DON'T do _anything_ is because that's what DOES or DOESN'T sell. I don't like it. But that's the "why" behind the "what."
Need a bigger fresh water tank, 50 gal. minimum for boondockers but I really like this rv. Well done Winnebago! How much for the standard unit and how much to add the extended season option? Any plans for an 8' wide version?
The 8ft wide fifth wheels will all fall into the new Voyage series. Their floor plans are very different. Cougar, Saber, Rockwood all have smaller 8ft wide rear kitchen models however. I was out for a few weeks and working on getting caught up here and in my photo/video files. You'll see some of the other names I mentioned rolling out soon.
Does that have a sidewinder pin box? If not, being only 7' wide, do you think it would have 90 degree turn clearance on a 6.5' bed? Thanks. I really think this is a game changer for me. Just wish W would start offering 12v compressor fridges in the Micro Minnies.
No need really. The narrow body helps with turning radius since it doesn't stick out so far. Also, unlike most fifth wheels the pinbox actually stick out past the nose of the RV a little bit, so the turning radius is pretty great on it.
Got one left from our initial incentive bundle including in our 30th Anniversary Specials list right now. Take a look, then give our team a call: bit.ly/2RNoV95
Thank you for such a thorough description of the new Winnebago Micro Mini 5th wheel. Love the concept! Sadly they missed the mark with the 31 gallon fresh water tank. No dry camping or electric only for any length of time with this one. A deal breaker for me. ;-(. Our current 2250 DS has 37. I do get that the entire Micro Minnie TT line has 31 gallons but it would be such an improvement to have a larger FW tank.
While I agree I'd like to see a larger fresh gallon tank one of the offsets you experience with a smaller body RV is less physical space for holding tanks. I've seen these models built from the raw chassis through the completed product you see here and can say without question they used the largest tanks they possibly could here.
I have an additional 60 gal water/sprayer tank I carry in the bed of my truck. It fits in front of the hitch. So, I can get water when there is no water hookup.
This is a nice rig. A rig that's truly, truly 1/2 towable. I like it. Nothing wrong with smaller. If there is one thing I'd like to see on this rig, it's a wrap around cap in the front. I prefer to not have exposed front seams. Common sense tells me driving rain will find the slightest opening in the seal, and force water inside.
In love with this!! Found a 2020 and bought it!!! Is it possible to tow this with an Anderson Hitch and my 5'7" truck box? Not worried about the weights...just the box size. Thank you!!!
Apologies - these were around for so short a window that I never got a chance to really have a good feel for what made for a good pairing for them. Every truck/trailer/hitch combo is kinda like a thumbprint and best examined by someone locally
Like what they are trying to do, but I think it just went a little to far with staying small. Really like larger, regular windows, but limited space in bathroom sink area, around the bed, and smaller closets are down size for us.
I would like to see a actual loaded pin weight for this trailer. You stated under 1100# but that's obviously dry unloaded weight. Loaded it will still push the limits of even the biggest payload half ton. Don't forget, you must add the weight of all passengers, cargo and gear. Also the weight of your hitch.
Josh, Thank you...I love the 7 width; does the Minnie has solar prep and what is normal config for LP and House batts? Looking forward the seeing the other floor plan vids.
Hi Roy. I'm not sure exactly what information you're seeking. It has the same sort of LP/Battery capacity as a trailer in the same series if that help.
Haylett RV Is House battery an add-on? I should have read specs for size/number of LP and if solar capable. When it is advertised as Solar Prep I assume that does Not include inverter? Keep u best job hands down on education of RV model plans anywhere in the USA!
@@roypase8488 Inverters are not typically part of any solar prep package. Usually solar prep means "the mfg ran all the wiring so you can quickly and easily install a panel, charger controller, and inverter." Cougar has done a great job with their solar prep by even going to the effort to pre-wire three outlets (TV, kitchen, bedroom) to the inverter prep wiring.
They weren't able to get the engineering done to put a hitch on at the time this was recorded. It's been a while since i checked, so it MIGHT be available. Hitching could be added, though please understand it may affect your warranty in some aspects. We aren't the type of place to only tell you half the truth and hope you appreciate that!
I almost love this RV. It does however fail on one of my cardinal sins which I came to by my own conclusion I just happened to steal the phrase from you. TV should always be at boardwalk and park place, not around the corner. So if i were designing this Rv I'd put one of those Thomas Payne 68" trifold sofa in the slide instead of the Dinette and in place of where the sofa is in this RV put in a thin entertainment center with a little pantry on the end facing the fridge (if it fits). You might have to trim down the wardrobe on the bathroom side of the couch so you can get by the fold out bed in the sofa. For dinning you can either have those removable tabletops with the poles in the ground (do those tables have official names), or skip that and just have those couch huger tv trays. Making those changes gives you a true 4 person sleeper and tons of storage and perfect tv placement all in a real half ton 5th wheel.
What's the price point on the Winnebago I'd really like to know I have a I have a 2021 Ford F-150 I haven't figured out 5800 Max towing but I'll let you guys figure that out when I come see you in the spring Joe
I love the trailer, but your link just goes to your webpage, not the item. I searched for this item via model & description & couldn't get it to come up. Just fyi. Otherwise, a good video. Thank you.

Brand new to goose neck campers, much better to pull and much more stable. I drive a 2010 Toyota Tundra 4X4. I’m wondering if the Tundra makes the grade for carrying the weight?
Well this super-small series of fifth wheels aren't made anymore, but Tundras can *possibly* handle a small FW *if* it has a heavier payload package -- THAT'S usually the failure point of things like Tundras/Titans/½ Tons in general If you need more info on that, then our team here is always happy to dive into some towing guides & put your safety before the sale in exchange for the fair shake at working with you when you're ready
Finally! I'm so glad someone in the RV industry figured out that bigger isn't always better.
There was many 7ft wide 5th wheels made from the 70's thru the 90's that were very light 2000 to 4000 lbs. I owned a few of them and have one now. I'm glad they are building them again. Trust me at 7ft wide I can go many places that normal trailer cant.

I had a 19.5 foot 5th wheel camper in the 1990's and it was a dream to pull with a S10 truck. 7 ft wide, single axle and the roof line was lower yet as we are small it was great. I absolutely love that you keep the focus on this being more 1/2 ton towable.
Looking at it, I didnt think there would be as much space in it as there is. Thats cool.
Unfortunately for him you can't buy blood and I'm not something you can buy like new computer to improve a dealership
I'm not selling out my family here for a few bucks lol
LOVE it, the only option I would want is a dining chairs. I am not a booth person, I know I loose a bit of storage.
It's coming! They simply haven't built them *yet*. Any of them. This was on the very first production run of ANY micro minnie FWs to be produced!
I like this Winnebago concept for a smaller fifth wheel camper .
A good throwback to the pre 2000's fifth wheels like the Shadow Cruisers and other little companies
I've actually seen a few vintage 2 storey trailers around, can't name them off hand if I ever find the links I'll post em.
Cheers.
FRICKIN AWESOME!!!! Now we would consider a 5th wheel!!!
Please do more videos on the micro mini rv's really opened up the idea for me to maybe purchase a 5th wheel I also really like winnabagos 29 middle bunk would like to see one in a video
This is definitely one of the nicer ones I have seen that I would tow with my 1500 duramax
I like the idea. I can't wait to see the other floor plans
Note, I drive 60 mph for 2 reasons, (1.) get the best milage, and (2.) ST tires are not rated for 70 mph or better.
thank you for your post as I was curious of the advantages to 5th wheel vs TT
@@littlegoatgt I have a video for that at ua-cam.com/video/I9xsAlw6nIQ/v-deo.html -- Enjoy!!
They need to make more true half ton fifth wheel campers
This is the first small 5th wheel that looks good to me. Great Unit and great job Josh. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Your Southern California fans,
Andy & Kim
P.S. Just wanted to let you know, when we make the final decision for our final retirement rig we will be giving you a chance at the deal. We live 2193 miles away, but after all these are TRAVEL trailers!
1.) *LENGTH:* Total tip to tail length
2.) *SOLAR PREP:* Not currently on the roof. I've been advising them that would be an ideal addition to this product. It's under consideration for future builds, but not set in stone at this time.
Love it, it's about time a company makes a real half ton 5th wheel. The floor plan is decent for a couple but hope to see other floor plans.
We have at least 2 more with different layouts coming. A different more living-focused couple's model and a bunk model.
@@JoshtheRVNerd awesome, please if you have time a video of the other floor plans would be great.

Winnebago was one of my favourite to PDI always well built and great quality control looks like there still holding that standard.
Don't take our word for it. Listen to this guy who actually fixes RVs for a living. That's strong folks.
Now I really like this and I have a 1/2 ton truck and I don’t really want to get another truck but I really like it thank you for sharing
I love it, I'd only change 1 thing, on a select few of Winnebago 5th wheels they made a reinforced towing hitch on the back. Put that on this model and it would be the perfect half ton 5th wheel.
That was literally THE first thing I offered them as feedback. A small fifth wheel like this is BEGGING for doubles towing.
If we had not upgraded to a 2018 Ram 2500,this or the rear bath in green would've been our choice.
I like the idea and the storage.the roof is even solar friendly.
Out of curiosity, why does the upgrade rule this one out? Just wondering because we have a 90s Ram 2500 and think it would be great. Thanks!
@@UtahRoadbase I cannot speak for Dave, but I think what he's saying is "Had we not just got a bigger truck with the idea of a larger fifth wheel, then this one would've worked for our previous truck." Perhaps Dave can verify my assessment.
Ahh, gotcha! Thanks Josh!
Love it. I have 2009 Nash, 23 foot fifth wheel. I'd buy this.
Ooooooohhhhhh!!!! I was on the Winny website. I LOVE the 2405RB!!!! Outside kitchen, couch facing entertainment, big shower! Squeeeee!!!!
We have that one on the way. It's basically a Freedom Express 248RBS adapted to a fifth wheel (Like the one seen here: bit.ly/2imrh2C)
I have a Jay Feather 7 23rd. There are some similarities between the layout of these models. I prefer mine but I would love to have the quality of materials in this one compared to mine.
Thanks for always addressing the "turtle mode" for accessibility with the slides closed.
TY for mentioning it!
Although we are nowhere near you, we greatly appreciate this video. I own a Ram EcoDiesel, and this would be great for us.
Just remember you don't need to be near us to do business with us. We've proven it time and time again given the fair opportunity.
@@JoshtheRVNerd Well, we are Theme park junkies and travel, so when it is time, I will see what you offer for the BH model. Thank you again for the great video.
It's a little thing, but I'm hoping those circular tail lights come to the rest of their lineup. Love how those look on the Jaycos and Rockwoods, too.
Try to get some of the bunkhouse models. They are very interesting to me. Love your videos.
LOVE the kitchen! Cook's kitchen in an RV. I want one!
My footage on this one is a bit dated, but Cougar makes something similar ua-cam.com/video/F04BkEhQRqs/v-deo.html just a little "beefier"
Finally... Not everyone wants a behemoth. I currently have an E-Pro E19fd. This would be a definite next trailer for me.
These are no longer in production btw
@@JoshtheRVNerd - It would have been nice if they gave it some time to cultivate an audience. I continue to look at 1/2 ton towable 5th wheels, but most of those that say they are, are really on the edge of my 5.0 F150's comfort zone. With electric vehicles, smaller trucks and cars, I keep hoping the RV industry will understand there is a huge market out there for either smaller or most certainly lighter campers. My E-Pro is a good start, but I still feel the is a huge niche out there to be exploited.
@@Hemifan4266 I agree. I think there's opportunities here
I believe this is what we are looking for! Great review, appreciate your honesty. When we're ready, we'll be in contact. Been subscribed to your channel for about 6 months.
TY for watching Brent. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but this RV and in fact the entire Micro Minnie FW series has been removed from production.
We have a few other smaller/lighter FW offerings, but nothing specialized like this
I definitely like the smaller fifth wheels. Nice stable towing, space, and interior height of a fifth wheel, but able to keep a (newer) half ton.
Great look. Nice layout. Love it
Looking very nice!! I need one.. I'm going to have to locate one here in CA.
I looked at one of these today man is it cool for a 7’ wide man I really want one
I mean we're literally right here *lol*
Give our team a call. We have one left currently & on clearance currently!
So basically.. you'd like to see a completely different RV? lol
The GVWR with your preferences is definitely the limiting factor.
If I had not just purchased a Winnie 2500RL, I would have to take a long look at this.
*coughcoughwetaketradescoughcoughcough*
Haylett RV I would take a beating on trade. My 2500 RL is only 3 months old.

Well.. we're sold out currently. Logically that doesn't happen by having BAD pricing.
I like this 5th wheel, a lot!
Brian
All current micro minnie FWs are essentially identical in size based off the same chassis. Their weights and measures will all be nearly identical.
@@JoshtheRVNerd is there an option to have the stainless steel appliances in either the micro minnie travel trailers or the minnie travel trailers? thanks for the reply.
@@BFann_19 They come as shown, though swapping fridge inserts takes literally seconds
you did a great job on all you explained, healthy happy holiday
Love these small fith wheels
Is this the smallest/shortest 5th wheel available besides the escape 5th wheels? I like the idea of the 5th wheels for more room and better, more stable towing which naturally comes w 5th wheel trailers. Also...when like this...it says it's 25ft or 24ft...thats from tip of the front cap to the bumper correct? The length is a bit intimidating but if 4ft is actually in the rear of the tow truck...its not so bad.
As far as I know on the current main market -- yes. It's about as small as they come short of some wacky egg fifth wheel.
Haylett RV yaaa...ive viewed the escape trailers...def not interested in going to Canada!
I like that Rig Josh!!
Anxiously waiting to see you post the 2405RL (hopefully theater seating) or 2405RB. I think these things are going to take off like hot cakes.
2405RB and the BHDB will be on the way.
Those models literally haven't YET been built. We were on the bleeding edge of the razor with this one.
Lol
I want to thank you for your response and the all the hard work you put into informing us of all the various ways RVs are built and the options available. Now I feel like I am truly looking for my second camper the first time.
Such a great camper so why is it not built anymore? Can you get Winnebago to start making them again?
*So the answer I'm about to give you is one I greatly dislike but there's really no denying its accuracy:*
The reason MFGs DO or DON'T do _anything_ is because that's what DOES or DOESN'T sell.
I don't like it. But that's the "why" behind the "what."
@@JoshtheRVNerd Ok Josh I kinda figured that but dog gone it I like that camper. Thanks anyway.
This may be what I’ve been looking for 😊
Got one left from our initial incentive bundle including in our 30th Anniversary Specials list right now.
When we are ready to shop for new, you will be our first place to go.
As long as we're also the last lol
I don't care where you get you appetite as long as you come home for dinner ;)
This is a nice rig. A rig that's truly, truly 1/2 towable. I like it. Nothing wrong with smaller. If there is one thing I'd like to see on this rig, it's a wrap around cap in the front. I prefer to not have exposed front seams. Common sense tells me driving rain will find the slightest opening in the seal, and force water inside.
I lie it.
About 5 years before a 5th wheel becomes an option.
But a good job on a small version of one.
Looks like a unit for one person
In love with this!! Found a 2020 and bought it!!! Is it possible to tow this with an Anderson Hitch and my 5'7" truck box? Not worried about the weights...just the box size. Thank you!!!
hopeful someone has experience with this issue
Loaded pin weight obviously varies by owner since no two people pack similarly.
Usually solar prep means "the mfg ran all the wiring so you can quickly and easily install a panel, charger controller, and inverter."
Cougar has done a great job with their solar prep by even going to the effort to pre-wire three outlets (TV, kitchen, bedroom) to the inverter prep wiring.
Size wise its perfect. Does it come with a rear hitch or can one be added? I would need to tow 14 foot utility trailer with my Teryx4.

Great trailer, great job
Really awesome minnie.
And this is EXACTLY why we carry hundreds of different RVs - they all have that "one thing" that makes them special!
What's the price point on the Winnebago I'd really like to know I have a I have a 2021 Ford F-150 I haven't figured out 5800 Max towing but I'll let you guys figure that out when I come see you in the spring Joe

Brand new to goose neck campers, much better to pull and much more stable. I drive a 2010 Toyota Tundra 4X4. I’m wondering if the Tundra makes the grade for carrying the weight?
Well this super-small series of fifth wheels aren't made anymore, but Tundras can *possibly* handle a small FW *if* it has a heavier payload package -- THAT'S usually the failure point of things like Tundras/Titans/½ Tons in general
