Open wheel demanads a special respect. If you could win in one of these back in the day you were ready for cup. They just turn out so much better drivers then the latemodels. Dunno why just is the way it is.
This series has come to Canada🇨🇦 for many years now at the 5/8th mile “Cayuga Speedway” a.k.a. “Jukasa Speedway” & 1/2 mile at “Delaware Speedway” & they have always put on great races🏁
Can't wait till summer and lancaster and spencer speedways ! and traveling around NY and Pen to watch Mods run AND Dirt late, and Big blocks and 358 at Ransomville , Land of legends, Stateline , Oswego, and many other tracks.
I’ve always wanted to go to “New Smyrna Speedway” in Florida during the month of February & then go to the big “Daytona 500” race weekend 😃 … maybe one day it will happen. A lot of great racing for us asphalt racers🤙
I miss watching modifieds where all the cars are different. I used to watch them locally and half the fun was aeeing all the wildly different bodies the teams would come up with. They ran same tires and engines, I believe, but frames and bodies were unique. It did mean some drivers had faster cars.
I just watched the 97 Watkins Glen race. Was the Tim Conelly in the yellow car the same one from back in that race??? The one that won??? Thats some crazy longevity..
Ill never forget my 1st time seeing the modifieds at Catamount. Jimmie Spencer won with the legend Richie Evans 2nd. Jimmie wins and says the track sucks. What a tool.
caution laps are bout as bad as nascars..... takes forever and the 1st one only one guy spun with no damage....atleast the camera coverage is better then fox

Im 15 minutes from Fonda. Fun to watch Stewart and Jessica Friesen ..can battle at home and on the track!!
