Cantrill’s course is the best in my opinion. I love the Udemy guys too but cantrill is on another level. He recommends starting from AWS architect solutions. Nice video bro
Hey man, I'm feeling a bit discouraged scoring 55-66% on the practice exams right now after watching all of Maarek's videos. You mentioned scoring 70-90% on the practice exams. What was your score on the actual exam comparatively? Just looking at where I am in relation to the actual exam score.
@@TeeTee-yu6fs yeah there’s no necessary barrier for the AWS certs. However, it’s expected that you have some sort of experience with AWS or I believe an associate certification before hand
Do u think its better to skip that certification and go directly to associate certification as its a little bit similar and i have a little experience in the cloud?? Thanks 😊
Great overview of your preparation. Ive been studying for the exam for a week now looking for more study resources. Im curious to know what kind of opportunities you've encountered since passing this exam?
This seems like a cakewalk exam. At least compared to Security+ or the CCNA. Although I felt that way about ITILv4. I did pass that exam after stuying off and on for a week, but I barely passed.
I got a job at aws through a recruiting agency teksystems. I only had experience in pulling cables, and 3 months data migration. Also Security+ which I doubt helped much.
Cert =! Job This cert is for cloud basics. It doesn’t hold as much weight as the associate, professional or speciality certs. However, even with those, a job is not guaranteed.
Not really, I’ve not really looked at any cloud related roles with it and I honestly don’t plan to until I get an associate level AWS cert like Solutions Architect or Sys Ops
@@DayCyberwox Makes sense. I have no prior knowledge with cloud so i figured a cloud practitioner course wld be nice to get familiar with EC2 instances etc... I am currently still looking for an entry level job & even with just my ccna I have zero luck getting a network admin role anywhere. would you recommend taking a help desk role for a few years?
@@KV-qv7oh I’d recommend contributing your study and applying for as many roles as possible in areas you’re interested in. The CCNA is a lot and with the right strategy you might end up in a NOC which can easily lead you into a Security position in a few months
Hello! How long did it take to know your test results? could you tell me about it? I took it just today, I approved and I would like to know how long I will be able to know my score
That’s actually a good question. I procrastinate on some things…actually a lotta things. However, I plan a lot and I usually have laid out goals I try to achieve per given time period. So goals for the day, for the week, for the month, for the quarter, for the first six months and for the year. The thing is as much as I try I’m also very flexible with my goals. I don’t beat myself over not completing my goals in my given time period. I think that’s how people come up with the whole “procrastination” things. When they don’t complete/achieve something in a given time period. The key is focus, flexibility and discipline. Of course work towards achieving your set goals but at the same time be open to readjust. I hope that answers your question😁

Not since then.

Can I get a job with the practitioner certificate, or it just a required cert before the architect cert?
You have better chances at a job with the solutions architect or other advanced certs
