I haven’t gotten mine yet but my siblings that get periods and my mom have never taught me that it’s taboo, they just taught me the facts and I’m so glad I’ve grown up in a family that lets you use anything, we’re all trying to be more eco friendly, so they all use eco friendly products🥰
I won't use a menstrual cup because I read a study for Washington State University where a group had done a study on these and found they give you a better chance of getting TSS than tampons do. They said the bacteria that is associated with TSS grows on the top rem because we don't get them clean enough when having to change them.
I use panty liners everyday to a few different kinds also have lots of tampons and two kinds of pads alway ultra thin regular pads and felxfoman pads heavy flow I am thinking of doing the cups in the futures maybe just maybe for now want to stock up on pads tampons liners lol wipes I want to order two maxi pads with wings in size 2 and 3
I would love to be more eco friendly but menstrual cups seem to messy. I am also pretty young too so i can eventually get better products. What are your favorite disposable products?
Menstrual cups can be messy but we’d still definitely recommend them! The HelloCup is a great brand of menstrual cup. There’s also period underwear. Check out Knix if you’re interested in period underwear!
I have a question. I bought Tampax pearl tampons, and I don’t think I’m ready yet. I want to save them for a few more months, but I’m afraid they’ll expire. What should I do?
Tampons can’t exactly expire. Most tampons have a shelf-life of about five years, giving you plenty of time to use them! Don’t force yourself to do anything that you’re not comfortable with. 💜
Heres my routine by the way summer is coming up and I'm really scared to put in a tampon because every time I try to it doesn't work I even tired videos here it goes! Panty liners: lots of discharge always 2 pads big pack: day 1,2,etc or I use the always teen pads paradise foe night no matter what my flow is I use always maxi pads. I understand this is excessive but I always carry pads with me to give out to women on the streets struggling.
It’s completely normal to be nervous! If you do try them out, give yourself enough time to see if you like them. If they don’t work for you, that’s perfectly ok too! Do what’s best for your body. YOU GOT THIS!
Iv hate my period I never love it I have sever sever cramps lower back pain nausea dizzy hot flashes cold chills smell smoke not there moody boobs on fire pale fever my symptoms can start a week or two before until it's done been like this since 6 grade I'm gonna be 30 Feb 2 so it's been years of tortoure gets worse as iv got older
Inserting a tampon shouldn’t hurt but it can feel uncomfortable if you haven’t inserted the tampon all the way. When a tampon is in far enough, you won’t even feel it! And don’t stress about knowing whether or not you’ve inserted the tampon all the way because you’ll know by how it feels. Just in case you’re worried: It’s impossible to insert a tampon too far, so don’t be afraid to insert the tampon in farther than you think is correct (you’ll get the feel for it after a while). If the tampon feels uncomfortable or it feels weird to sit, that means the tampon is too far out and you can take two (clean) fingers and gently push the tampon in farther. Hope this helped!
Nope! The only way a tampon could get “wedged in” is if you accidentally insert a second tampon when there is another already inserted (but it’s still possible to remove it). So, just make sure to take out the old tampon (after 8 hours) and switch it with a new one when you’re using tampons.
You can definitely wear a menstrual cup at night! You just need to make sure you take your cup out at the end of the allotted time (ex: 12 hours). We don’t suggest using tampons at night just because you can’t leave them in as long as menstrual cups. As long as you make sure you’re following the directions for your menstrual cup and washing it regularly, you will be fine! But that is good advice: If you’re not sure that you will be able to take your menstrual cup out in time, use pads or even period underwear at night!
love this! aiming to erase period stigma is awesome! 🙌 🎉

There’s no shame in sizing up on tampons! Definitely try sizing up to a Super + and see if that helps. Pads are great too!
Oki!
Why you dont do the pads in the trash when you dont use them?
