This is AMAZING. I’ve been seeing everyone with these images on Etsy but I didn’t see the exact color dog I wanted. I’ve searched everywhere trying to figure out how to make one myself.
Excited to try this for my dog…ok I tried it 🤯. I cannot believe how good it turned out. This was very easy to follow as a complete beginner in procreate. I did a quick version like her video. I think it took about 30 minutes. I’ll give it another go taking a little longer next time and I think maybe playing around with the dog’s coat color first to maybe get a nicer look overall.
I’m having so much fun playing with different brushes! I’ve done a Highland cattle and a sweet little fox. I’m using pictures from the app Unsplash. Thank you for sharing your process with us. This is very relaxing. DD asked me ‘why the aggressive tapping’ and now she wants to know how to do it 🤣
Thank you for posting this! I’ve been trying to learn to draw animals, and this was by far the best tutorial to help give the feel of learning to draw them and the various textures. I appreciate the time you took to make this video.
I love this. TFS. I don't yet have an ipad, but pet tumblers are have become a huge part of my business. I can't wait to try some of your tutorials once I get my iPad.
Hi was wondering how you keep the pic sharp. Just followed your tutorial on a 16x20 but it looks dull When I smudge dogs in photoshop it’s much more crisp. Any idea? I like all your videos and like to see more
This is amazing, I love the technique, I wanted to ask, have you ever done a cat? I have mainecoons and would love to paint all of them into portraits like this, but I feel a tutorial would be amazing if you have time.
Make it as big as you can to get the best dpi. 8k8k maybe and then make a new canvas and put the finished art in that canvas, say 8.5x11 of that's the size your printing
Well I took a perfectly sharp picture and used the brush which eas recommended in thr tutorial. It came out flat. Like unsharp but when i do my portraits in photoshop I don't have this issue. Meaning the resolution is bad hope this makes sense
Hey. You sent me a link on FB today because I asked how someone made that picture of my dog. Question for you… if you remember, my dog has a ton of different colors. She’s brindle (black, tan, brown, and white chest). I feel like I could make a picture like this of a dog that has one or two colors but it’s hard to do this with a dog that’s brindle. She has stripes all over her body. And I can’t find anywhere on UA-cam on how to draw a picture with a dog that’s brindle. Can you do a tutorial on how to do something like this with a dog that has multiple colors/brindle? 🙏🏻
I def remember that adorable pupper! I would do this technique, with large strokes. And then go in and add a few stripes of brindle, without overdoing it, to get the effect. I'm definitely not an expert, that's what I would do. Can you send me the pic of your pup? I can maybe do a little portion of her and see if it works well, and send the time lapse or screen record.
Cheating for what? Why spend 6 hours on a portrait to customize a mug, or make yourself a portrait of a beloved pet. Not everyone has the skills to do that. My tutorials are a way for Beginners to also have ways to customize pets. Work smarter, not harder.
I felt the same too. This wouldn’t be a skill to be proud of as compared to actual artists… I feel like as a traditional artist myself, this looks like a spoof! (Which it is) Precisely why I don’t find digital art anything wonderful! But hey… i like how she easily fools people and make money. That’s appreciable 💖
@@aaj9722 so would you offer your traditional art services to customise a mug for a reasonable price? Traditional art would take you hours upon hours to get a nice portrait and fitting that on a mug or a t-shirt would make the merchandise ridiculously expensive. Save the traditional art for paintings and proper portraits (for which people are willing to pay a lot more), for small things like mugs and t-shirts this is the only way to go if you want to make it profitable... So is it cheating? As far as you know she's able to do "proper portraits" just as well but uses this as a fun side hustle.
I love this technique! Thank you so much for sharing 😊

That very cool! Thanks much!
I love this! Can you do a video with this technique on a fluffy dog?
I did a Highland cow with the same brush used in this tutorial - it was perfect!
Geniuss
fantastic tutorial thank you
You are amazing I love your art work. I have an iPad and order my pen but I was wondering if you have a protective glass cover on your iPad? Thanks
Congratulations! Thank you, yes I have a glass screen protector. I have used the paper feel ones before, but didn't really like it lol
How would you do this with a curly coated dog?

@@Prettyep1cART thank you 😊
Is it possible to tell us what canvas size you use at the beginning of the tutorial please?
I use 2500x2500
Do you have a website that you do commissions? I tried to find you on FB but your link is broken 😞
I have a Facebook group called tumbler waterslides and files bst, send me a message there ☺️
I'm gonna try this. I have a Yorkie. They are hard to draw.
How do you have procreate with android
I have procreate on my Apple iPad.
Would you be able to post a very fussy looking long hair dog ? Thank you😊
Yea! I have a fuzzy and curly one posted. Watch i explain how to do the different textures ☺️
@Prettyep1cART nice I guess I have to look around. Lol. Are u able to explain why the pic turns out blury and not sharp?
What do you mean it looks blurry?
Well I took a perfectly sharp picture and used the brush which eas recommended in thr tutorial. It came out flat. Like unsharp but when i do my portraits in photoshop I don't have this issue. Meaning the resolution is bad hope this makes sense
I'm not sure, I would check you canvas to make sure it's at 300 dpi. I've done over 100 of these specific types and never had a issue ☺️

omgoodness that's hilarious 😂
@@Prettyep1cART wow, Thank you for the reply! and yeah 😂
Isn’t that cheating tho
