One rule of thumb I learnt in uno, don't keep the special cards too long. You may want to plan how to use them but don't overplan because the colour will most probably change before you get a chance to play them. Then the score you get at the end is higher.
And as a fall safe, don't play colour changes unnecessarily, especially if if your partner has a few cards left because someone may try to change the colour after your partner hits uno
there’s something relaxing watching them play uno😂

(0.25^8)*100 = 0.0015258789% chance of it happening
_the chance of you getting the card you need is roughly 25% (maybe a bit more if you factor in the special cards), so you do 0.25^8 which is 0.00015258789 then you multiply is by 100 to make it a percentage_
EDIT: They got even luckier because they kept getting the card they needed in 1 go but it wasnt in a row so im not counting it here
On those specific instances yes. But I think the more relevant probability you should be calculating is, what is the probability of getting what you need 8 times in a row, at least once in a row out of an entire youtube video's worth of draws (maybe around 100, I'm not sure), which is the same as 1 - P(Never getting 8 in a row out of 100 draws).

If you ever wanna try UNO with a twist, make it so that every time someone plays a 7, that player can switch their hand with anyone else and anytime someone plays a 0, everyone's hand moves over one based on the direction of play. It makes the game a lot more interesting I think and also risky at the same time. Love you guys!
That gets annoying after a while, when you have good cards and someone just switches it up, and it happens so often, because you get 7 every second lol and everyone keeps switching it
