This mother and especially the granny are too old fashioned. Children should have some freedom to develop themselves. You should not put them in a box in the name of traditional values. The granny does not like the girl to have a modern hair do!
Let the child have some freedom. The second wife may actually be a far better mother and friend to this daughter. This mother needs to put an end to her habits of keeping scores. This mother should relent and participate in the development of the child along with the father, and the step mother. The Granny? I will not let her to be near a child.
