I'm loving the Classic more and more. It's come so far since I started following your channel on video 1. I can only imagine how excited you are about everything you've done. You should absolutely be proud of it. You're making sure it stays in excellent shape to make you that money! Hope you're doing good, Armin!
can I give you some advice and save u alot of grief. get a can of kleenflow antiseize compound and put that on all nuts and bolts especially if you may have to go there again. especially on exhaust manifold bolts. l know l'm a mechanic and it saves alot of time & money when things twist off and you have to drill and tap stuff.
Exhaust temperature (egt). Not coolant temperature. That is preset by ecm or stats depending on year and setup. Either way the exhaust manifold isn't going to change the coolant temperature. Just EGTs. I run a full tilt manifold on my detroit.
@@TruckerAK yea maybe in a perfect world it might lol have to always take what they say with a grain of salt. Guys that do the marketing are not drivers or mechanics lol
I. Know this is a yr old. But how does it perform. And all those diecast manifold suk. I just took off factory manifold on a 2005 magnum RT caz it warped and broke the stud. So a set of shorties took its place. That manifold looks nice..
For my experience full tilt is way better I installed one on my Detroit 12.7 with a stage 1 borg warner turbo and I love it but is all depends on how much you want to spend.
hey trucker ak love the channel. was wondering info on your truck with landstar just had interview and they said truck has to be 2001 eld complaint ..what is yours thanks and keep up the good work
Hey 👋 love your videos. I been trying to buy this manifold from PAI but they telling me to buy from them I got to a distributer. Can u please send the distributer you used so I could order it. Thanks bro… keep making great videos and helping
Hi Trucker AK , I have a 2005 Detroit Diesel 14.0L and I haven't been able to figure out which of these would be the best fit, 681125HP or 681127HP so maybe you have the knowledge that can help me on that? Thank you in advance !!!
No one compared the size of the ports which give better air flow as well as smooth inside the manifold I look on you tube no one has compared it to stock manifold pai or Pdi
Just double checking, was the total kit $800? Or was that just the manifold? Also, I contacted PAI to check cost and they were not able to help me since I am not a dealer. Do you know who I could purchase the kit through? Thanks for your time.
600 is cool but diesel control service now does a 3 program ECM, matched to your engine. Turn a knob and you can have any power rating from 430hp, all the way up to 780hp. I have 430, 550 and 720.
I slapped a 171702 on my S60 12.7L without additional "tune" and I noticed my boost dropped from max 35psi on waste gated stock, to 30psi max. ..... What gives? 🤔
@@johnkovac4436 I already fixed that. It was the 3-piece exhaust manifold leaking. Once I swapped in the 1-piece from PDI .... No more exhaust leaks. I hit 35psi easy. Fuel econ @ 7.5mpg IFTA now even with 43.5K in the reefer box
Man my experience with PAI was a freaking disaster. I called them after seeing your vid and told them I wanted an exhaust manifold for my 2015 Columbia. Even gave them the engine serial number. The guy gave me the part number and price so I approved the purchase. M&D Distributors is who shipped it and low and behold it was the wrong freaking part. Because the old manifold and gaskets came off and there's a freaking month out on a gasket kit I had no choice but to use the new hardware to button up my truck. Called PAI and a clueless rep lady couldn't even pull up the P.O. number. Luckily M&D Distributors is working with me to figure this out. They told me to contact the distributors from now on when ordering parts.
When you going to the light work on your on truck yourself instead of being in a hurry to talk about what a person need to do lead by example instead of letting your buddy do your work right.
Hello there bud. I'm really proud of you. I know you don't know me but I always love to see young men and women succeed at everything they do.
you seem like a really cool and down-to-earth cat!
Always pre oil the turbo before mounting! Sand the surfaces where the sealings are being placed.
What number sandpaper would be best to do this

That sounds awesome now and she looks sick with the new visor and the stacks make her more better then the other classic XL on the roads
Love your videos!! Keep up the great work!!
whats the followup on how this manifold performs egt temps and performance
one more thing done for your truck and one more step to having it the way you want it done. Good job cant wait to see how it ends up done.
WoW - Keep On Trucking the dynamic duo - thanks for the info !!!!
Hell ya man. Love seeing new parts put on the truck. Your killing it bro
I love what you did to the truck.
Just saw you in Tulsa Oklahoma
Sweet ride!!! Take it easy bro
That visor is cool asf
Thanks man
Hiiee....super cool 😎 how "to do it" video up close and step by step. Excellent, guys n' gales would be great to hear now 👍

I'm with you on that one. My biggest nightmare broken exhaust bolts were ISXs.

Yeah my mistake I meant to say pyro meter readings but from what was said it says your engine will run a couple degrees cooler so we will see

Learned some New parts 💯 Appreciate that.

I run full tilt my self with pitsburg power stage 1 and tune, 600hp out of my 12.7 it's incredible.
Yea full tilt is the way to go. I run one on my 3406E.
Hi awesome video and great to be seeing you more truck looking great loon 🏴🏴🏴
U now its going to work bro. Also when r u going to put on your custom interior door panels. Truck looks great.
Yes bring on the door panels lol. Truck looks great keep it up
Looks good. You’re lucky you have a Detroit in there. It’s a nightmare job on a CM871 and you need the computer to set the VGT..... sucks
AWESOME VIDEO!!! It probably wont lower you engine temps but it will lower egts and help with horsepower! Keep up the good work brotha

Interesting clip, thanks for that.
Didnt you need to calibrate or recalibrate the turbo?
Shouldn’t need to do any calibration on an older fixed vane turbo.
@@brvfd822 👍
😂recalibrate what? It's an old non vgt, non waste gate turbo😅
Looking on to how to upgrade my manifold and bam I see Minel :)
Looks good brother! Seriously considering buying a classic... Hopefully soon! I am also from Florida and it would be cool to collaborate one day.
When is the update?
Nothing to it but to do it. The only time I let a shop work on my trucks was when I didn't have time or I was just plain lazy
it sounds smoother 👍🎯
Spool up faster? And pyro temp drop?
💯💯
Who do you order from?, seems like I can't buy it in the pai website
Great video...as always.
Definitely not gonna lower the engine temp that done through coolant. Now EGT maybe.
LoL 😂 fyi, some people have no idea about engine temp vs egt temp.
If your egt is high going up a really long mountain your coolant temp will go up eventually just saying.
What happened to most recent video? Did you take it down?
Keep safe , love the vids!

Where are the results or Update?
Notification Squad.
I called Pai Industries and They do not want to sell to individuals, do you know how to order it please?
👍👍👍
Hi I'm thinking of buy pai it's been a while since you put it on your truck what do you think of manifold
How's the manifold? Any problems? Working fine?
Still working years later! No issues

Hey bro, I know you have a Garret turbo on there now, how do you get such a nice BOV sound? Like what do you have to do to do that?
We’re did you get the turbo from why do u think it’s better then pdi and alll the other places
I got the turbo from my load shop Diesel Air just a factory garret
And I’ve talked to a lot of people and a lot of old school truckers and they said they ran it once and it was trash and to stay away
The PDI turbo is just a polished 171702, no big deal.

Hey how can I figure out what part number I need
They don’t seem to know
Just call freightliner and give them your vin number and ask them to give you your engine serial number
Next move is a non wastegated turbo, then a tune. 600hp all day
