Got to see them live for the first time on the 5th in New Orleans. Great show and experience, but man, standing for over 2 hours is my only gripe…I really wanted to sit and relax and let the journey begin. Only concert I’ve ever been to where everyone in front of me stands the whole time…so I got a bit uncomfortable, but oh well. If given the opportunity, I will definitely go see them again…maybe with cheaper seats this time, as my seats were pretty decent.
I've seen hundreds of shows - many in the 90's and early 2000's when I lived in South Florida. And this may be one of the most unpopular opinions ever...but Tool was one of the most boring, monotonous and headache inducing shows I've ever seen. Maybe it was an off night or something. Or maybe it was that I've seen some really epic gigs. I don't know... APC was 1000xs better. Regardless of my experience - I am so glad Brad and Lex got to go and experience this.
Oh man, that's awesome. So glad you guys finally got to get the feel for a real rock show. Major kudos to the sub who got you the tix! Thought about going in my area, but was never a massive fan; though I certainly appreciate their talent. Now you've had a taste of what we experienced through decades of not just listening to our artists at home, but venturing out to experience and capture the energy of their shows. I had a big smile throughout this video. Cheers!!
I'm truly over the moon for you both. Situations such as having to take your lattice down whilst other people have lattice can get you down. You both deserved this thanks to an extremely kind individual 👍❤
Tool concerts are an experience. Amazing band. Glad that you both got to see them live. BTW... Justin is the second bass player for the band. However... he's the creator of most of the infectious grooves that you've heard for the past 20 years or so. So as far as I'm concerned... he's an original. No disrespect intended to Paul D'Amour. He was an amazing player as well.
I've never seen two people more concerned with food at a rock concert than you two. I probably been to a few hundreds concerts and have never eaten there once.
I don't remember ever eating at a show and I've been going to shows for a long time. I don't even drink. I eat before I leave the house and eat when I get home. Too busy focusing on the show 😂😂
Tool is definitely the full concert experience... got to see them twice 🤘🤘🔥🔥Only the bass player Justin Chancellor is not an original member (he joined in 1996) ... Paul D'Amour was the original bassist who did the EP 'Opiate' and the 'Undertow' album in 1993 before he quit. The rest of Tool are original members - Maynard James Keenan (vocals), Adam Jones (guitar) and Danny Carey (drums)
I don't have nipple rings, nor a Beastie T, nor any tattoos but I have been a Tool fan since the 1st EP and on occasion I like to reexperience Tool vicariously via unlikely listeners in their reaction videos. I have never commented unto today. You two made for a fun trip down a UA-cam rabbit hole, to watch evolve into Tool fans. From 9 months ago, your 1st Tool reaction vid, to only a week ago when you got to see them live. Good times! In my opinion, Tool is to Generation X what Pink Floyd was and is to Baby Boomers and it sure was fun to watch you two young-uns experience, and come to understand, what us old farts have known for decades about them. Thanks for the laughs. Keep it up you two, you're the best.
Seeing Tool for the first time was one of the most spiritual experiences I ever had. I saw them several times after. It lost it's charm after about my fourth show because of the extreme high prices and the lack of changes to the setlist for each tour. A Tool show experience can heavily depend on where you are seated. Closer is not always better for the full visual experience. The view of the whole show is amazing and adds to the experience in a big way. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed my first experience!! It looked like from your area you had a pretty good view for the full experience. As a rule of concerts I do not eat there or drink alcohol or at least no more than a beer. I only drink water to hydrate ( that alone is super expensive nevermind that the price of a beer is damn near a rent payment) but that way I don't ever have to go to the long line restrooms during anytime Tool is on stage (you never know when they may pull out a live rarity) and you don't want to miss something amazing on accident stuck in the bathroom. I like to stop and get something greasy like Steak N Shake or Krystals on the ride home. I hope maybe you guys do a follow up video after you have processed everything and explain how you really felt about how Tool is live and what you think of their full show. Although it may have not felt or hit you guys as big as it does some folks. I have witnessed so many people crying or hear people explain the show as a life changing experience. Idk how many concerts you guys have been to but I'd like to know where they rank in the shows you have seen. I'm always jealous of people who are experiencing Tool live for the first time. You only get that once and I'm so glad you two got that chance. Too bad Berto wasn't there to experience with you guys.
I'm more concerned with your concern for getting gouged on water prices, my wife and I just saw them a couple of weeks ago, we budgeted $750, if we're going to see Tool, I'm not worrying about a damn thing but the music, but as far as the track selection, these guys could cover Justin Bieber and it would be absolutely brilliant.
@@jasonnielsen5976 Not everyone can budget $750 to see a concert. And when you've paid to see a band 6 times and the setlist and show pretty much remained the same with the exception of maybe 2 songs each time the mystery and charm starts to go away. Tool is a phenomenal band but they are not to be worshiped. Two people responded to what I had to say and one I suppose think Tool is above being critiqued and the other is thrown off by me being upset about the ridiculous prices of a drink at the venues that Tool play. I doubt Brad and Lex think Tool are above being critiqued since that is kinda what the whole point of their channel is and I bet they wouldn't be budgeting $750 for a concert. I would say most Tool fans can't afford that.
@@timmycollins7665 the price of the beverages isn't Tool exclusive, I went to Ozzfest 20 years ago and paid $12 for a water, and I acknowledge that not everyone can budget the way we did, but it sounds to me like you don't even appreciate what you are there for, so it's probably a good idea to save the tickets for someone who actually will appreciate what they are experiencing, you save $308(price of the oh so inconvenient water) which will help your budget in the future, it's a twofer really, everyone wins.
@@jasonnielsen5976 I bought the tickets 6 times. Whoever sent those tickets to you guys is an awesome person!! You guys deserved to experience a real concert and there’s no better band to start your first concert off with!! Rock on 🤘
Kudos to the person who bought those for you two. I''ve been a big Tool fan since the first time I saw them live back in 96. They are definitely an experience to see live. Thee best!! I'll be seeing them my 9th time now March 8th here in Michigan. That's awesome you got to see them.

Transcendental is a perfect word to describe the experience at live shows with a band like Tool. There are a few rock bands that revolve around some would say tribal others would say primal drumming. Even though Tool isn’t necessarily tribal they do have hypnotic rhythms in their songs. Anyhow my experience with the tribal drumming bands is that as the songs play out the drumming becomes hypnotic and it almost creates a spiritual like feeling when you get lost in the rhythm and a guitar solo soars around the beat. I truly feel sorry for people who have never experienced that.
I went to a tool concert back 2005 or 6 id remember exactlt. We came late. We misses the opening act so we had to stand all in back. Couple of beers , maybe a smake or two. Back of the crowd...there was these old ruins from witchburning days... we stood on top of the ruins, and could see everything. I swear i saw the soundwaves coming out of the stage. "Now my life is complete " Amazing experience.... open park, no stadium. I had to drag my friend there... he were so glad i did it. Greatest time of my life
I count seeing tool in concert here in Sacramento last month as one of the greatest things I’ve ever done. Watching the whole band take seats at the front of the stage for the live debut of culling voices was dope enough, then Danny Carey picked up a guitar lol. Also a highlight, being loaded as hell and watching Maynard James Keenan sing happy birthday to Adam.
SO COOL!!!! I’ve yet to see Tool! Coming here in Cleveland in March working on a ticket. Next concert you have to see is Slipknot!!! Their shows are crazy high energy!!!
That's funny that you guys make it a point to listen to "The Grudge" before you go to the concert, and then Brad goes and buys Lex a tour t-shirt while they are actually in the middle of playing the song!
I'm really happy for you guys to get the opportunity to see Tool live. I've been a fan since childhood but unfortunately haven't been able to see them live. I got to see Maynard with his other band, A perfect circle, which was pretty cool, but I'd still love to see Tool someday.
Saw TOOL in 1997 at Ozzfest somewhere in Florida... my ex-husband and I traveled all over the state for concerts. It was a great show then, not sure I want to pay what they are asking to see them when they come to Cleveland. Glad you guys had a great time!
Cool vid you guys. Not been to a Tool concert, but been to 3 TSO concerts. They love to meet and greet after the show. Got many guitar picks during the meet and greets. Wifey even sat in with the band and gave out guitar picks. People thought she was part of the band. Lex should try that next time.
JEALOUS!!! They are really amazing live. So glad you guys got to go.. I know what you mean getting excited because someone close to you in so into it as well
This is so cool that you saw Tool.....Jamel aka Jamal seen them a few weeks ago and reacted to it....but he didn't do what you guys did, and taped from your camera, bits and pieces !!!!!! excellent
I remember when Tool came to my tiny town of Huntington WV. Maynard sang from behind the drum set the whole time! Then I went to see A Perfect Circle and dude was wild center stage (Dr Jekyll & Mr Keenan) Awesome!
I saw Tool back in the summer of 1994 (Northampton, UK - summer) with no earplugs. What a mistake. Paul was the bass player back then and warned stage-diving fans to watch out for a metal bar that separated the fans from the stage. Maynard looked at him and asked him "are you finished?". I remember a guy having two red devil horns as a haircut. Good gig. Drums kinda overpowered everything though. Glad you enjoyed the gig ;)
Thanks You Guys for Sharing your experience! Loved seeing your Excitement Anticipation and How Much you Enjoyed it! You should look in your local listings of events, some old bands play at festivals these days. Then of course there is always cover bands. We have a Rush cover band in the midwest and they are awesome!
I'm so excited for you guys I love you you're awesome I'm going to see tool on the 27th here in jersey. I'll tell you I'm 59 years old I've been listening to them since they started and they just get better and better and they're awesome in concert I don't know if you know this but every single concert is different and Maynard always stands facing a different way and they're just really really good band very tight and I could see where your man says that you know some people are rocking out but he just felt the flow I get it I feel the flow but I'm that one that he's talking about that's banging their head I love them I hope you had a great time
The bass vibrating my lungs so hard I wonder if I will need an ambulance... that's one thing I miss about Soundgarden concerts. I haven't seen Tool live. Glad you guys got to go!
I've been a fan of tool for 20 plus years and I went to my first tool concert with my son who was 15 at the time, 2 years ago. It was great to share with him.
I'm lucky enough to say I've seen Tool live 3 times!! One show I had to drive in an ice storm to see them and there wasn't an empty seat! Must see! Most talented band ever! My all time favorite!
I seen tool in a dive bar in the mid 90s thanks to my DJ friends from our local rock station. They rocked it and it was a party after the show , very fun band to just hang with.
So awesome that you guys got to go see them. I know what an experience seeing Tool live is myself, but the last time I saw them was in 1997 when they headlined Lollapalooza so I really feel like I need to go at least once more while I still have the chance. 🤘 Spiral Out y'all
Thanks for sharing your first Concert Experience. Amazing and happy for both of you getting to see TOOL. It will be a lifetime memory for you both. Great you were able to document this experience.
SO AWESOME!!! Congrats!! Enjoy the show. You won’t be disappointed. I’m envious. I wish I could erase my memory and see them for the first time. Your in for a treat. I hope some one told you to bring some mushrooms lol
Wow, very cool that you guys got the opportunity to experience Tool Live in concert! I predict you'll be going to more concerts in the near future. You guys are awesome!🤘
Flew from Copenhagen (missed my local concert) to Birmingham, UK to see them. SO glad I did. Everyone stood there as well, awkward with the bolted-down chairs :D
so glad you guys got to experience Tool live!! I saw them perform on Halloween night with Primus years ago in Tempe, AZ. They came out dressed as Led Zeppelin. definitely one of the best nights of my life. cheers to the best music reactors on yt! 🍻
Tool concert! That’s awesome. I remember my first time at a small club in 1992 when I was 16. They actually scared me. Maynard has changed a great deal as a front man. His persona was like that of a scorpion and he looked like he could strike you with a hidden barbed poisonous tail every time he laid into a section. They did a cover of No Quarter which blew my mind. It was like watching family or a friends video they sent me because I couldn’t make it and they wanted me to feel like I was part of the experience.
Minute mark 5:54 … is literally the picture of what live music is to me, When you are at a live show there is a certain camaraderie that is involuntarily shared. When I’m the middle of a set or just a song you can look around and see that exact same look, and exact same smile, and in that instant you know that person gets it. Even if it’s for different reason, it doesn’t matter, regardless of the reason it’s still raw emotion. And as they say, everyone smiles, and everyone cries in the same language. When your at a live concert it’s normal to just face front toward the stage, because that’s who you paid to see. But, Next time your at a show, if you never have, next time the artist your seeing is playing your favorite song, do yourself a solid and take a minute to look around, even make eye contact with a few people, and you’ll see it. Your all there for the exact same reason, most everyone checks their baggage at the door,. You don’t see a log of “hate” at a live concert, because when you walk in you already have something in common with every one there. And, Music, while probably for different individual reasons, pierces the human soul so deeply that, you just look over at someone and see the look on their face or in their eyes and you think, “that person gets it”? And music is, at this point In human history, is so engrained in our lives that you can’t help but think…well, if that person likes this band as much as I do, then they must be ok. Idk, maybe I’m romanticizing it too much. But to me when I go it just seems like music connects us i a way that nothing else does. When your in that arena, and your favorite song is being played, you can take a minute to look around and see/feel like there isn’t a single person in there that isn’t your friend. It’s a very beautiful thing. Also….Danny Carey is god. 😂
My first Tool concert, and first concert ever, my hearing was literally deafened for like 3 days after. Incredible concert though. I’ve seen them 2 more times since then.
Glad you got to catch them here in Tampa. Sucks I didn't see you guys, it really was a great show. Best I've seen them play in over a decade for sure. Orlando was amazing too. Tool is one of those bands that you should definitely see at least once if you're a fan. "The Grudge" was Fing insane last night, and "Pushit" was pretty much live album worthy cuz of the energy.
I saw them for the fist time myself in Orlando the night before the Tampa show. Amazing experience and absolutely loved it! Glad you guys also had a chance to see them as well 🤘🏼
YES!! My first concert on many years, too. Here in Idaho. Amazing lights. Being a drummer for 30 yrs, Danny...........killing it. TOOL, just didn't let up.
I remember when I saw Tool for the first time. It was the last day of San Diego Street Scene 2006. I don't remember if it was before or after Snoop Dogg played. San Diego Street Scene was always a blast, but they discontinued it. The last time I went was in 2009, that's when I discovered Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears (saw them later that year at a smaller venue with Cage the Elephant). Also, I remember that year, mid set, Flavor Flav ran up the stage scaffolding and the rest of Public Enemy was pleading for him to come back down.
So awesome running into you guys at the show!!
I'm sure it will happen again!!
nice cameo..
Wow!!! I love the band and would love to meet the couch gang
I was there too, floor seats, center stage, 11th row 👍🏻
Whoever bought them those tickets, thank you. Tool is a must see at least once in your life.
It's hard to see them only once. ;) Like the old chip commercial. "Betcha can't eat just one".

"Now my life is complete "
Amazing experience.... open park, no stadium.
So awesome you got a chance to see them! Big props to Soljarag!! 👏👏👏
Glad you guys enjoyed it, they are fuckin awesome live. Can't believe I'll never see them again because of where I live.
I recently watched them in concert as well. Great to have finally seen them and I do hope they have more fresh material to let us unto.
So happy you got to experience TOOL!!!!! My absolute favorite of all time.
This was awesome to see so glad y'all got to see this show!
I'll tell you I'm 59 years old I've been listening to them since they started and they just get better and better and they're awesome in concert I don't know if you know this but every single concert is different and Maynard always stands facing a different way and they're just really really good band very tight and I could see where your man says that you know some people are rocking out but he just felt the flow I get it I feel the flow but I'm that one that he's talking about that's banging their head I love them I hope you had a great time
I love how you guys are so open to all kinds of different types of music 😊
That concert looked EPIC! The photo bomb dude...hahaha~
I've seen Tool live once in the 2000s. It was a great show here in Fort Worth and remember I still have the concert shirt I bought.
I'm lucky enough to say I've seen Tool live 3 times!! One show I had to drive in an ice storm to see them and there wasn't an empty seat! Must see! Most talented band ever! My all time favorite!
I was at this same concert, glad you guys were able to experience them live. It's something special. Love your guys reaction vids, keep them coming
Hope yall had a great time!!! I see them for the first time next month and I've been a fan since 96
I seen tool in a dive bar in the mid 90s thanks to my DJ friends from our local rock station. They rocked it and it was a party after the show , very fun band to just hang with.
Transcendental! Music can take you places. It’s magical.
So awesome that you guys got to go see them. I know what an experience seeing Tool live is myself, but the last time I saw them was in 1997 when they headlined Lollapalooza so I really feel like I need to go at least once more while I still have the chance.
🤘 Spiral Out y'all
Awesome u got to see them! I'm going to drive to DC to see them with my buddy on the 21st in and maybe again in Pittsburgh.
Thanks for sharing your first Concert Experience. Amazing and happy for both of you getting to see TOOL. It will be a lifetime memory for you both. Great you were able to document this experience.
I missed them on the west coast.😩 Glad you guys got to see them!
So glad you guys got to have an experience that most people will never understand, a mind blowing spiritually awakening ego disarming musical movement
Watched the whole thing. Loved it 😊 I’ve seen Tool more than a few times, they have never disappointed. Glad you guys got to experience that 😊🤟🏻
Went to see Tool in Tulsa a few weeks ago. That had to be the best, if not one of the best, hard rock shows I'd ever seen.
So cool you guys got to see Tool.👍👍
So glad you got to go. We love you guys.
Love you guys 🥰🇦🇺. You will feel your heart rhythm change after experiencing Tool.
I am so happy the both of you went to watch Tool... Omg...u deserve it. Kudos to the person who got u the tickets. Such a lovely gesture.
Glad y'all enjoyed
Tool and Pink Floyd are my favorite bands of all time. I can't afford tickets either but it gives me great joy to see you both having this experience.
Probably the loudest concert I've ever been to. Phenomenal. And the best. Simply incredible
you guys are awesome. love how you guys have such an open mind and experience everything.
I love how excited you are. Never stop being excited :)
Thats so cool that you met some of your subscribers and were recognized 😀
I'm gladden in your happiness. Tool is amazing band and you are amazing people. A lot of love and joy to you all TOOL fans
Stoked for you guys, can’t wait to see them when they come back to Sydney🤘🏾
Flew from Copenhagen (missed my local concert) to Birmingham, UK to see them. SO glad I did. Everyone stood there as well, awkward with the bolted-down chairs :D
so glad you guys got to experience Tool live!!
I saw them perform on Halloween night with Primus years ago in Tempe, AZ. They came out dressed as Led Zeppelin.
definitely one of the best nights of my life.
cheers to the best music reactors on yt! 🍻
That was the first time I saw them such a great experience!
I'm so glad you guys got to experience Tool live! Its hard to put to words. They will tour again.
So nice to see you guys enjoy yourselves! You both look great and you seem happy. That's what rock and roll is for.
YES! We just saw them a couple weeks ago here in Tulsa!
My first Tool concert, and first concert ever, my hearing was literally deafened for like 3 days after. Incredible concert though. I’ve seen them 2 more times since then.
I'm going to Tool I'm March so excited. I'm so happy you got to ser them live..
So happy for you guys. A Tool concert is one of the greatest shows ever. You'll understand better after youve seen more bands.
This! TOOL is definitely a one of a kind experience.
Absolutely
Thanks for the look. Bet ya had a blast!
I saw them last month in Southern California. Great show
I saw them for the fist time myself in Orlando the night before the Tampa show. Amazing experience and absolutely loved it! Glad you guys also had a chance to see them as well 🤘🏼
Congrats guys. We caught them in Dallas. Best show out of the 2 I've seen so far. Tool forever! 🤘
YES!! My first concert on many years, too. Here in Idaho. Amazing lights. Being a drummer for 30 yrs, Danny...........killing it. TOOL, just didn't let up.
Except when the power went out for them. 🙂 And that only was a brief pause. Took my wife and three of my kids. It was awesome!
Rhinoceros mode!!!! That’s so f’n awesome 😎! I’m so happy y’all got to experience TOOL live.
It was so nice of someone to buy tickets. Feels good that there's still nice people. It was fun watching you guys have so much fun.
