    Awesome... It will definitely do the job either size you get. Even though it gets extremely hot, unless searing meats, you won't ever have to crank it up that high. Great presentation!!! 🏆

      Thank you very much! It's definitely nice to know it can get screaming hot. Really will work for cooking most anything except things like sauces and stuff. Thank you very much for tuning in and your comment.

    Good, solid and informative review. Is this how you properly seasoned your griddle, as well? What was the oil used, if I may ask and not sound stupid? Thank you again for the informative videos.

      Not a stupid question at all. I use peanut oil for the seasoning process. I have a more updated version of this griddle that I reviewed found at:

    I am impressed with the Vevor. Trying to figure out the right size to buy. About how much can be cooked on the 14” and is it too small?

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  5 місяців тому

      It's kind of a difficult question to answer. I would say a small breakfast can be cooked on it at once. A small batch of fried rice can be cooked on it. A couple hamburgers along with buns and grilled onions can be cooked on it at the same time. Really depends on how much food you're looking to cook.

    How many smash burgers can you cook at one time on the 14" and the 21:? Thanks...love your channel!

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  20 днів тому

      @@jimmccarthy1728 Thank you so much for the kind thoughts. If you're talking about just the burgers and not having room for the buns I would say you could handle four of them on the 14-in and I'm guessing at least six on the 21-in. I'm not sure cuz I've never really tried it. I only cook for myself and sometimes for my dad.

      Does your kitchen and/or whole house smell like grease and onions after a cook?

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  14 днів тому

      @jimmccarthy1728 definitely not like grease. The whole kitchen will smell the same as cooking anything else in any other appliance. I look at a griddle like a huge cast iron pan. If you've ever used cast iron then this is the same experience except larger. Needs to be seasoned properly and has an iron surface. Should always have a thin layer of oil on it. Super thin.

    Thought you'd have thrown a sausage on there, to show its cooking ability... 😮

    • @TheFoodExperience

      What kind of sausage would you like me to use? I have cooked quite a few Farmer John breakfast sausages on there. In fact I've cooked quite a lot of things on there. I have a whole playlist dedicated for the Vevor griddles demonstrating its capabilities.

    At 660 degrees it's time to throw down some steaks. This is an impressive little unit. I am going to utilize your link and get the 21" and then throw my E series in the trash. Nice review I'm sold.

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  Рік тому +1

      Heck yeah! Last week I sous vide a steak and he did that sucker up to over 600° for the reverse sear. Worked out so good! The 21-in doesn't get quite as hot but yet still reaches 600°. I think you will thoroughly enjoy it in comparison to the E-Series.

    Why are you referring to this griddle as to having a “CAST IRON” cooking surface???? Is it not stainless???? Cast iron has to be casted like a skillet…. I have seen NO griddles that are Cast Iron…. Even the BS brand used just regular plate mild steel formed into the griddle surface… they also state it’s cast iron surface’s but they are NOT.. I wish this reference could be corrected on this cooking surfaces!!!☝️🙄. It’d be different if a company like Lodge were actually Casting an ACTUAL griddle to install but that’ll never be done on this scale!☝️🙄

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  6 місяців тому +1

      It definitely is not stainless. You should go to their website and look and you will see for yourself. It definitely needs to be seasoned and treated like cast iron. When you get to their website look at the about section of the product.

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  6 місяців тому +1

      It definitely is an iron surface. They used to stated as ironclad. At some point they changed the wording to cast iron. I understand you're confusion and that's okay. I also have a black stone and it has a totally different surface than this. They use a carbon rolled steel surface.

    So glad I researched more on Blackstone and saw the drawbacks and issues. Definitely picking one of these up for sure.

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  Рік тому +2

      I used to have the 17-in E-Series by Blackstone. It did work pretty decent but due to the type of surface a person had to be really careful so that it had some decent longevity to it. The more I used it though the less it would really get up over 400°. I have both the 14-in and 21 in Vevor and really enjoy using them especially with the ironclad cooking surfaces.

      @@TheFoodExperience i have been wanting an electric griddle for some time, almost bought a el cheapo one for a lot less, that could have been a mistake i am sure, i love the grease trap feature on the Vevor, i just hope i can season it as well as you have yours, i did pay attention to your video on seasoning, LOL, thanks a lot man.

    • @TheFoodExperience

      @skismosis pretty sure you will be way more than happy with this device. Originally I bought the Blackstone E-Series which was quite underwhelming. The Vevor literally runs circles around it. Gets much hotter and quicker recovery time. The iron surface holds the temperature for a super long time, better than the Blackstone 22 adventure ready propane griddle that I have. Plus I like the surface on the Vevor a lot more. Once it is seasoned it is totally smooth as glass. Really appreciate the kind thoughts.
