- The New Orleans Saints just wrapped up OTAs and Derek Carr alongside Jake Haener highlighted the QB performances. Spencer Rattler improved over the weeks while Nathan Peterman served his player-coach-like role.
With Tanoh Kpassagnon's Achille injury keeping him from being available to start the year, the Saints have a few options as to how they want to handle it.

I really think the entire NFL in the media is underrating this New Orleans Saints team
It's copy and paste opinions going around about this team. People are using the same terms in the same order. There like a broken record.

Carr's improvement is not a surprise. Last year he was dealing with free agency and moving, etc... This is typical Carr. If he gets an offensive coordinator that stays in place the better Carr gets. With Gruden he had the most consistency and improved every year even though the team was a mess on multiple levels.

I mean that’s what you’d expect right? It’s typical Carr because the man’s never had a consistent system, consistent head coach and stable organization that looks after him.
? Name a single player that does NOT benefit from consistent coaching 😂... That's nothing to do with Carr. It's common sense
@exomake_mehorololo it provides context to the trajectory of his career. Had he been given more consistency in the area of coaching, then his career might be viewed differently.
I want to see how Rattler performs in preseason. We already saw Jake Haener last year. It would be interesting to see how Carr's chemistry is in the new system as well.⚜️
Carr’s throwing for over 5000 yards this season if this o-line is any good at all and both Olave and Shaheed over 1000 yards.
The run game is returning so I would say at least he gets to 4,000 yards but we'll see.
@@divineeternity7268 absolutely agree they have to at least be average in the run game. Everyone talks about Carr having a bad year but he still almost hit the 4000 mark and that’s with the worst run game and play calling plus being hurt and missing about a game. Can you imagine throwing a football with a sprained shoulder and broken ribs.
Agreed. Stat wise Carr had a decent season: 68% completions 3878 yds. 25TDs 8INTs. 31 sacks, but nearly half came in the first 5-6 games. So with good line n decent run game it can happen

These pessimistic people are so terrible. Every year, you see players go to different teams under a new system and play better (and of course, some play worse). What if the Pete Carmichael/Sean Payton offense system is not for Derek Carr. What if the Kubiak/Kyle Shanahan system is better for Carr and will allow Carr to play better. I'm optimistic going into this upcoming season because I do see many reasons to be.
