  • So one thing I love about my journaling practice is the use of tarot cards for reflecting on my life at the present moment.
A few years ago I quit tarot and got rid of all my cards and books, but then the much awaited book Tarot for Change by Jessica Dore was released. I'd been such a fan since I discovered her, and I just had to get the book and, of course, a deck of cards again.
I find using tarot in my journaling practice helps me uncover and reflect on life's events in a whole new way, and I'm thankful to have my cards and this book as a way to help me in my healing journey.
I love the cards interpretations from a personal growth, healing and change perspective. (I do not use the cards for divination).
Jessica Dore's insight into various types of therapy techniques is so great to read about, and I often find myself going away and doing some extra research to include in my journaling practice too.
I wanted to make this video to share a quick review and flip-through, before I fill it even more with my notes etc because I can easily see the Tarot for Change book turning into a journal itself 😍

I have this book and just discovered exacted five minutes ago that it's a platform for the author's "woke" opinionated and subjective one-sided viewpoints, not OBJECTIVE AT ALL! Since it's filled with such bullshit, I'm literally throwing this book out NOW, not even worthy to donate to a library or thrift shop. IN THE GARBAGE!! No room for one-sided subjective interpretations by either tarot readers nor astrologers !! DON'T WASTE your money!!

One should take multiple perspectives into account when learning about huge concepts like tarot. Personally this is my 4th book I've read on tarot and it is very different from what I've read so far. I think it is a valuable perspective and not a waste of money at all.

I knew when purchasing the book the author would be writing from her own viewpoints, the ones that so many people love reading on her Twitter posts and now Substack. Her fans know she translates the cards from a perspective of self-care and change. She knows her stuff when it comes evidence based therapeutic techniques. Those who knew of her work prior to her book release are the ones who will love this book. And as far as I'm concerned Tarot IS subjective.
