Spudger: Pry up case, section by section. Keep each section separated until it cools. 2. Tilt back up with camera side as hinge 3. Unscrew camera area cover plate. 4. Lift it toward the removed back. Note which opening the cable passes through. ( I could not remove the camera cover plate. I could rotate it around the orange/pink spot near the upper middle. As a result, I could not reconnect the fingerprint reader. 5. Tweezer: Flick-pry up from the right: small ribbon top connector A near the cameras 6. Tweezer: Flick-pry up from the right: large ribbon connector B left of the cameras 7. Tweezer: Flick-pry up from the right: medium ribbon connector C lower middle 7a. (offscreen) Tweezer: Flick-pry up from the right: little connector from the battery 8. Flip the two ribbons to the left. Hold them down. 9. Lift ends and slowly tweezer tug out to the right the first tape from under the battery. 10.Lift ends and slowly tweezer tug out to the right the second tape from under the battery. 11. Lift right end of battery, and remove it. 12. Remove and adhesive that was left on the case under the old battery. 12a. (missing from video) Attach two adhesive strips to the underside of the battery with tabs wrapping around to the front. 13. Insert new battery. 14. Connect ribbon connections B & C 15. (offscreen) Connect the battery ribbon cable 16. Attach ribbon connection A (ribbon towards you) 17. Position camera cover plate. Press it into place. 18. Screw it back in 19. Apply glue or thin dual sided adhesive strips to the inner side of case's outside edge. 20. Attach cover 21 Apply adhesive tape to the exterior to hold it closed. 21 (Alternative) Use rubber bands to hold the case closed while the glue solidifies. Missing or offscreen: 7a. Disconnect the battery. 15. Connect the battery. ?? Attach 2 new stretchy adhesive strips under the new battery. ?? Attach double sided thin tape strips instead of glue.
I had this issue on my Redmi 7. I just want to ask if this won't affect the main board? I had some bootloop before and I'm hesitant to replace the battery worrying it won't work.
May I ask what is the goop you applied around the rim before closing (surely some kind of lubricant and not any type of glue) and why did you put on the pieces of tape? Was it your intention to remove the tape after some time?
That liquid is the adhesive itself. The rest is self-explanatory. I think it's T-7000 for the black liquid adhesive and T-8000 for the semi-transparent color.
The black liquid is adhesive to put the cover back into place. Since the liquid needs time to dry,he put tapes to hold the cover. We use rubber bands instead of tapes.
Same too brothers i guess it's because of new updates going on, it drains our battery and also the reason why we charge while using it to have new updates resulting to a bloated battery
How to fix this ,i have the same prob.. my batt bloated, and went to repair shop they have same BN46 which is the model of batt but after they change it only the redmi logo showed up.. but wont go to idle lock
