Quite a change not having a steering wheel. Hope you get along well with the Fendt!!! Nice to see some early field work getting underway. Things have dried up around here in the last several days...not the slop wallow we had a couple of weeks ago.
Maybe you should tell Doug Larson on Larson farms that he needs to demo that combine to try it out so he’s not trying to break the steering wheel out of the combine

Brian ! Get a long flex wire with a strong mag and wrap the side of the magnet 🧲 to minimize it from attaching to inside metal .so magnet so it will only pick up the lost part and pull it out !!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🫣. I’m sure you figure out what I’m trying to say. Make a cone sleeve to let the mag slide along the track so only the front will pick up the lost part !
I don’t know much about the ideal but our gleaner mechanic doesn’t have much good too say about them. Hope you gave good luck with it enjoy watching your channel can’t wait too see what corn planter you bought. We will keep the s97 going for you.
Hi Brian, get your combine man or do it yourself if you've got the time, check the rear axle lock to lock bolts are set to maximum to ensure the best turning radius possible, it's easy to do & will be a whole lot more user friendly.

From front to back needed a chain to unplug rotor.I think the plugging can happen to any combine.Your crops are different having one big machine will increase harvesting speed,plus you get a good warranty you will be pleased with the combine.Nice machine.
Funny how Fendt spent millions engineering, developing, prototyping & assessing their combines before even launching them....Then a numpty customer like Mike Mitchell is all over the internet crybabying they're not very good...🤔 I'll go with proven German engineering from a leading manufacturer over a click & views-seeking UA-camr any day

Pull the rear wheels out wider on the Ideal so its possible to make turn better.

what's the point of putting up a fence at the entrance to the shop and stopping it 20 feet on either side? if people want on your property they will just walk around the fence. Never understood why businesses do this.. see a gate with locks and a fence with barbed wire on top that just ends after 100ft or so. I mean.. it's their money but just seems like a waste.
Could you put a magnet on a piece of wire or something and try to fish out the thing in oil pan through the fill tube or drain hole? Great looking combine can’t wait for wheat harvest now lol thanks for sharing

Jd 8400 can be done with a flexible camera to find the fitting and using flexible magnet and or claw tool. Harbor freight would have all three tools. If you are lucky, it will come out when the oil is drained.

Im curious i heard those combines arent quick to swich between corn and soybeans compared to what we run which is a case 9250. Were we can swap heads and change a few manual settings and should be rolling again in well under and hour but just trying to be generous. Whats the transition time in the machine because i feel like i had misinformation about it

It is actually quite soothing & relaxing to have an Ideal combine again on UA-cam this time without the rat-a-tat-tat whingy-whiny critiquing of the engineering of the machine, delivered to camera in the 3rd person...!?! Fendt must be quite relieved at this combine's new home..!👌🤣🌾🙏

@@richardradawetz8788If I heard right Mike had the first model year of the Ideal combines. Which is very common to run into problems and improvements within those years.
@@Axios31Agco promised Mike lots of support hanges and updates. Some happened several didn't. Mike knew that when he bought them there might be a few issues but most importantly he changed them because after 3 years of light use due to poor crops there was huge wear problems. Things that could not easily be fixed and huge cost implications. Also Agco hadn't updated those of the big issue of blocking the back end of the rotors.
The Ideal has a very bad reputation and Agco are desperate to change that so Brian had a fantastic deal to run the Ideal 9T. Only time will tell if they look after him better than Mike. I suspect they will or the Ideal is pretty much finished. I think Brian should have gone for the Claas 8700 but sometimes a deal seems too good to pass.

I have no idea whats the best combine, but the sweetest and most badass looking is the fendt ideal.

Great combine. But I don't think I could drive one down the road using joysticks. I would be a nervous wreck.
It's all just a question of practice and then routine. You would certainly learn it in a few hours. So never be afraid of something new. Curiosity and respect are better.

Great Video Brian, the variable rate files peaked my interest, there was white, brown and blue, i assume the white doesn't require lime, what do the other colours mean? I assume it's about PH and either you need it or you don't, thanks for sharing

Does the oil fill neck on the jd have a tube on the bottom of it or is it just open to the oil “pan”? If there’s a tube, you might get lucky and the piece is still inside vs being loose in the pan. Guessing the spout that came off your oil hose was aluminum so dropping a magnet in the fill port is out?
