There is so much to say, i dont know where to start.
First, i read the Bible more than i used to, but i am not saved by reading the Word but by what the Word always refers to: Jesus' death on the Cross.
Second, the title of the message says it all: You Have Lost Your Faith. We cant lose our faith. " He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." Plilippians 1:6 He bagins the work, and He brings it to completion. We are to know that we have eternal life."I write these things to you who beiieve in the name of the Son of God, that you may KNOW that you have eternal life." 1 John 5:13
Third, there are people who call themselves christians who live in open sin and are not repentant, and they obviously not believers. However, there are people in the church who are struggling with sin and do have repentance, and they need to be pointed to the Gospel. John puts it very well: "Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil." 1 John 3:8 Whoever makes a PRACTICE of sinning is of the devil. That refers to people in the first catagory who sin deliberately and wont even admit that they are sinning. Then John says, "My little children, i am writing these things so that you may not sin. BUT, if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." 1 John 2:1 That scripture refers to those who struggle with sin but sometimes fall short.
Fourth, churchgoers who walk away from "Christianity" and become atheists are not walking away from Biblical Christianity. They are walking away from a false gospel of works that Washer preaches. Thats why they are so angry.
Finally, Washer talks about spreading the Gospel. First we have to get it right. Please respond.

I'm not trying to be condescending, but if you don't think you can't lose your faith then you have never been tested to see if you are unfaithful. How can you say that you are faithful if you've never been tested to be unfaithful. How can you say that you're not a liar if you've not been put in positions where you have to desperately tell the truth or be tempted to tell a lie and overcome it?

The subject here is not my faithfulness or lack thereof but God's faithfulness to His children. I can't save myself, only Christ can save me. All I need do is put my trust in Him, and even that is a gift. I don't quite understand what your point was. Could you clarify?

@juliapaone561 you cannot obey or put your trust in Christ without faith. The Bible declares it is impossible without faith to serve him

Yes, and faith is a gift. Faith alone. Not faith plus works, as Washer teaches.

@juliapaone561 Paul Washer does not teach Faith Plus works. This is you misunderstanding the context of scripture. He does not say that you have to do Works to attain salvation. What he is saying, just as scripture says, just like the Book of James says that faith without works is dead. That doesn't mean that you have works that attain salvation. But your Works prove that you are saved. Like Paul and Jesus said, you will know them by their fruits. There are so many people that say that they believe in jesus. That's laughable because even Satan and the demons believe in jesus. They know he is the son of god. There's a difference between a Believer and a follower. Everyone believes whether they wanted to admit it or not. However, following Jesus is a whole different story. Jesus said in the Book of Matthew if you love me you will keep my commandments, which is works. Those of you that keep not the Commandments of my father are condemned already. You can't just say that you believe in Jesus and think you're going to heaven. Where's the proof? Where is your faith and trust? This is one of the deceptions that is so widespread and Christianity that it's embarrassing. Western Christianity that is. If you can say that you are saved and you do nothing for the kingdom of God that you are not saved. Even simple things like witnessing. Charles Spurgeon said if you don't witness and tell people about the gospel of christ, then rest assured you yourself are not saved.

"Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many deeds of power in your name?' Then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; go away from me, you evildoers’" (Matthew 7:21-23).
This verse equally applies to every Christian today
What makes any of use have the right to talk in god name

I think you miss his point.. meaning you live as though you have no faith.. which is precisely why.. you lost it... Meaning you thought you have it but doesn't.. so let's leave the doctrine of Christ have go on to perfection..

Christians dont read this scripture in its context. If you read Matthew 6 starting with verse 15, Jesus is speaking about false prophets.
"A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit." If a pastor understands the Gospel, he will preach it. If he does not, he cant preach it.
I am not saying that we dont do good works. I am saying that we dont do them out of fear of Hell but out of gratitude to God because we know that we are going to Heaven. Fear is never a good motivator. Love is.
Angry Arminians who walk away from calvinism say that they did it because as calvinists they had no assurance of salvation. This goes smack dab against the wonderful hymn that says, "Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine, oh what a foretaste of glory divine."
You legalists love to quote plilippians 2:12, "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" while ignoring verse 13, "for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure." We are to have a healthy reverence for God, but ultimately it is His work.
