I would play in that gym in a heartbeat. The prestige of Cameron indoor is second to none. The players who have come in and out of that gym are also second to none when it comes to the CBB world. To play there would truly be a blessing. I'm not a Duke fan either.
I like how small and close everything is to the court. Duke doesn't need a big ass arena like Kentucky. That's a hell of a home court advantage right here
@yankeefanintenn It's like a history thing. Duke doesn't want a new stadium because that gym is their icon. They want to keep it small, compact, and loud as hell.
@yankeefanintennWhat are you thinking? Yes Cameron indoor is small and old but the history and all the thins that have happened there is just overwelming. To say that you play for Duke and for Coach K. is just great. They did just build a state of the art practice arena next door with 3 courts, complete with a 40 yard long training gym, locker rooms and offices. If you think there is any basketball player who doesn't think that it is an honor to play there... then you are wrong.
I see what you are saying, and yes the Old Yankee stadium is special. However, I still don't see any reason to be impressed with Cameron. If I were a fan of Duke, I'd certainly want a state-of-the-art facility with all of the amenities offered today, not an old gym like that.
Not impressed... sorry, it's just not impressive. Why would a player want to play in that gym? I will never understand that. Not a knock on Duke or a cheap shot, just an honest observation. There is NOTHING special about that small, gym. I'd rather play in front of 20,000 in a nice arena.

The beauty of this place is heritage and tradition so you can take your ugly comment and shove it

Certainly looks like a dump.
