Interesting note about the serpentbone blade: it actually does deadly poison, which does twice as much damage but lasts a third of the length of time. This sounds useless, but with it’s unique weapon art it can not only apply the poison very quickly (and trigger mushroom crown/kindred of rot’s exultation -which last 30 seconds) but will instantly activate the buff from Millicent’s prosthesis or rotted winged sword insignia. In short, it’s a great, often overlooked weapon.
powerstance with a poison uchigatana and get even more poison buildup. it is a cool weapon but i think there are better options and poison just doesnt seem that good compared to bleed, frostbite, and even scarlet rot.
Golden rune 10 up the ladder after you fight the Omenkiller indoors, right where you grab the albinauric mask and staff. Love these videos man. As a first time From Software player, you are a tremendous asset!!!
One thing a lot of people don't realize is that most enemies in Elden Ring are effectively blind but have super hearing, they detect you from the sounds you make. Some enemies detect on sight, like bow users, most mages and every banished knight is both sight and sound based but the majority of field enemies are sound based. Their actions make more sense when you realize this, the AI seems dumb when an enemy walks over to where you just where just killed their buddy but don't chase you when you're in plain sight, yet this is because you didn't make any sounds after the killing. And every little thing you do makes sounds, footsteps, rolls, jumps, swing a weapon etc. So that crepisus' vial is more valuable than many think, it's more like an invisibility cloak, it's damn good when using a bow yourself. Do note that this isn't based on enemy type, for example the ancestral warriors are sound based but when they start off armed with a bow they are sight based and most Omen are sound based but those that are "on guard" (like guarding a ladder or physic flask upgrades) are both sight and sound based.

Congrats with the wedding;) There are two bits by this area that I wanted to point out) 1) Near the wurm (or just from above him) there is a jump down that leads to the area with a some kind of dungeon I think, particularly fun experience worth of noticing)) (you can also access this area if in Liurnia you follow the Patches advice and let the ironmaiden-thing under the huge water wheel in Lucaria kill you by grabbing attack) Damn some quests here are a bunch of nonsense 😅😅😅 2) do not remember if there is something of interest but when you get to the bottom of the church with the albinorics on the balcony with a serpant you can hop down for some loot. Guess thats all that I've remembered😅 Btw thanks for all the content for the lick-every-stone-guys like me)))
Use sleep on any of the godskin bosses. It works wonders and immediately. The big ones will basically sleep til you hit them and it takes them a sec to get up so you can wail on em. I only used two sleep pots and was able to take this godskin noble out like he was a goat in limgrave lol
Dom, I winced a bit when you were rolling through the lava trying to speed yourself up. Either equip a weapons with the Quick Step ash of war, or turn your back to the way you want to go and [Space Bar] backstep toward it. Cheers!
The Bloodhound's Claws that you get on the way to the main area have the Bloodhound's step, which is even better for lava traversal and isn't too heavy
I hope you see this. In the ansel river you missed the chest above the main “dragon fly boss’ . It’s the curved sword wing I forget what it’s called.If you start at ansel river main site of grace, head down towards those ants. Kill the ant with the big head, head down that tunnel behind it, jump off the ledge to the right and work your way up the path, there are some somber smithing stones I think. And then there is a chest above where that boss was.
that section of ainsel river is part of nokstella the eternal city which cannot be reached from the ainsel river well that you used to get to the ant cave
It is called the Wing of Anstel, it was explained in ainsel main walkthrough. You have to stay to the right from the main waterfall site of grace. And climb down the ledge all the way and then hop onto the ruins and it's in a chest if I recall correctly. Right near that there is a somber smithing stone 6 if you go to the end of the ledge path and climb back up a higher ledge path. You will pass the item on the way down to the wing of ainsel but have to come around to get it
I have platinum'd the PS5 version of the game, finished the game multiple times on the PC, including the DLC, and still I am finding stuff thanks to your 'things you missed series'! Thanks Dom!!
There is actually an additional cave to explore, I think you "missed" it and will likely not show it in the next video. Around 10:20 there is that corpse on the edge of the platform. You can jump down there and get access to another cave. I got there early, when one of the "iron maiden" things grabbed me in "Rhyia Lucaria".

Wow. I knew I missed a lot here, but daaaamn! I really missed a lot! I finished the assassinations in no time and then killed Rykard. Never saw Rya as lizard. Never got the silly Candlestick Whip. I'll finally be starting NG+ soonish though after my current 270+ hours. Just have a few spells to gather up for when I respec before starting over. I'm level 235 and don't really have any need to bugger with leveling more. Thanks again for this series! I'll be using it next run,

I thought it was just really short because I met Tanith, did her contracts, then met and beat Rykard, then saw Patches on the way out. I just started NG+ today though because I wasn't able to do some questlines and wanted to go for another ending. I got Rannis.

Love these videos. Maybe this will be in your part 2 video but at the 10:25 mark in this video where the item is you can walk off the edge to a path below that will lead to another mini boss area. Didn't find this until my second play through.
Yea, easy to overlook this one. The other way you get there (read: teleport) is to allow yourself to be killed by the grab attack of the Abductor Virgin that is in the lowest part of Lucaria Academy.
Not gonna lie, part of the reason I always keep a bow and fire arrows handy are the exploding jars. With one hit, you can trigger their explosions from a safe distance and get some free AOE damage when they go off.
For the godskin I recommend the flame of the red manes ash of war found in calid. It breaks the stance of most bosses in two or three uses so it breaks the stance of the boss quick leaving an opportunity to get the critical hit.

If you are a mage or have ranged attacks you can mega cheese the magma worm by aggroing him and running back to the lift, if you are quick enough you can take the lift up and you can cheese him from above
That’s exactly what I did. He felt way different in aggression to me than the others I had fought. Though I’d fight him any day over the fatty boss in this area.

You can cheese the magma worm: just activate it then take elevator back and go up. The magma worm will be right down the platform where the elevator stops, so u can use arrows or cast spells to kill it without actually fight
living jar are easily dispatched with flaming arrows. hit one of the 3 front small living jars and watch the chain reaction explosions. You might be able to lure the large jar over before chain reacting the jars to collateral damage the big guy
for that magma wyrm at the bottom of the area; run back to the lifts and kite him there. go up and attack from above with pots or bow etc and he cant touch you. you might need to repeat the kite a couple of time though

Where you thought your summons hit you, there’s a glitched ad under the street. I noticed this when I went through. I came to VM via the maiden in lucaria.
It’s probably worth noting that you can do the volcano maner invasions quests without any negative consequences so it’s more than worth doing the all unless you feel it’s the wrong thing to do for your character.

I screwed up Rya's quest line by going straight to Rykard after the invasions. I left the manor half way through and came back after killing the guy in Mountaintops not realizing she sends you right to Rykard and after you kill him everyone leaves. Bummer.
I know this is an old video and people may already know, but i just did a test and it doesnt matter what your equipment load is, you jump the same distance no matter what your weight status is.
Love your content for this game. The only two pieces of advice I would give you is to leave the map up for another 3-5 seconds when you show it. Sometimes it's good, other times, it's just way too fast. The other one is more of a suggestion than advice. You should make shortened versions for people like myself who are only looking for the stuff that is hard to find/easy to miss. Not everyone is going to sit through the whole video or even watch at all when they have to watch 90%+ of stuff they already found or will find easy. You'd pull viewers in who are at a higher skill level as well as the beginner/casual players if you had shorted versions aimed at the more experienced players that search everything thoroughly themselves, and are just looking for the few things they may have missed after they thoroughly went through it themselves. You wouldn't even have to make any more videos to do so. You could easily use the footage you have already and just pick out the tips that are hard to find to someone that already goes through everything thoroughly. I know I'm not alone when it comes to going through the game thoroughly, but still missing some things here and there because it's the nature of the game not to find everything your first run through. Other than that, I love the content. Great work, very informative. The only time I watch other people's videos for this game is when I'm specifically looking for one thing I know I missed. I'm not going to sit through 10-20 minutes if video for something that I just need a quick location on. For the most part I'll watch your things you missed on an area just to be sure I got everything after I've moved on from the area. Once in awhile I have to look elsewhere just because it's one specific thing I'm looking for.

You really need to redo this video to warn people that moving on in the invasions without handling side quests locks you out of certain cool items. For example, gotta do Patches side quest between the first and second or else no bull goat for you. Didn’t get bull goat til my third play through because I didn’t know this.
when you killed the omenkiller with summoned pumpkin head. you thought pumpkin head hit you. no he was trying to hit the Noble that is stuck/glitched into the floor. you usually can see the top of his head literally 10ft north of the omenkiller beside another Noble that is just waking up. Not sure if buried Noble is in a dungeon beneath the town.
Hey, I was wondering how you get up to that dection of the map after opening the lava bridge. Running across it back to the Prison Town Church grace, you can see a corpse lying precariously over the ledge above you with loot to take but I have no idea how to get up there! There is also an iron maiden enemy up there as well but could never find the pathway leading to that part :(

12:40 instead of trying that risky jump, it's safer to just drop down from the roof above. Also in 8:07, in the ledge of the other building there's an item that I wasn't able to reach, and you did not cover in this, video. Have you covered it in another one ?
Actually I think you CAN still complete the Volcano Manor requests even if you defeat the boss of the area. I killed the boss long before getting to the Mountain of the Giants but the invader spot was still there and I was able to defeat them and upon returning to the manor there was a prize left on the table.
I think you just have to at least accept those requests before killing the boss. I killed the boss before completing the first request and now everyone has left and I can't accept any more.
So that entire huge section is accessed through a hidden wall? Are there any in game hints that guide you to that wall or are the developers just assuming everyone will look online? In which case why make it hidden?
should of made a disclaimer that before doing volcano manor go to the site of the first invasion and do the invasion there so u can get the talisman bc if u go to volcano manor before doing this it will lock u out of that invasion
Recusant Henricus can be easy to miss because if you beat all major bosses in the area, for some reason the invasion doesn’t happen anymore. I think he is bugged and will not invade if you beat Margit.
I never opened the other doors at the start until I’d literally completed the manor, so I could only do the very first assassination. Also never met the friendly serpent. Silly me…

darn it. killed the boss before completing the various assassinations. I got up to the serpentbone katana... guess newgame+ is where I'll do it.
I killed patches, he doesn't come back from doing church of vows, can i so get the quest to kill that dude he had.. the one where you had to go back to him to get the reward....
With the lava boss, get him to attack then take the lift back up and use ranged attacks, he can’t get you with his own.

It's not that good stop overrating it

A tip that’s been shared with me: use back step to get through lava quickly if you’re not a dagger person.

With the Magma Worm, you can cheese it. Just go back up the lift & stand on the edge. Use magic or any ranged weapon you choose. Super easy

Yes! I beat the boss here with 2 invasions to go. After you do the invasions your reward is on the table where you get the letters!

I screwed up Rya's quest line by going straight to Rykard after the invasions. I left the manor half way through and came back after killing the guy in Mountaintops not realizing she sends you right to Rykard and after you kill him everyone leaves. Bummer.

I know this is an old video and people may already know, but i just did a test and it doesnt matter what your equipment load is, you jump the same distance no matter what your weight status is.
Love your content for this game. The only two pieces of advice I would give you is to leave the map up for another 3-5 seconds when you show it. Sometimes it's good, other times, it's just way too fast.
The other one is more of a suggestion than advice. You should make shortened versions for people like myself who are only looking for the stuff that is hard to find/easy to miss. Not everyone is going to sit through the whole video or even watch at all when they have to watch 90%+ of stuff they already found or will find easy. You'd pull viewers in who are at a higher skill level as well as the beginner/casual players if you had shorted versions aimed at the more experienced players that search everything thoroughly themselves, and are just looking for the few things they may have missed after they thoroughly went through it themselves.
You wouldn't even have to make any more videos to do so. You could easily use the footage you have already and just pick out the tips that are hard to find to someone that already goes through everything thoroughly. I know I'm not alone when it comes to going through the game thoroughly, but still missing some things here and there because it's the nature of the game not to find everything your first run through.
Other than that, I love the content. Great work, very informative. The only time I watch other people's videos for this game is when I'm specifically looking for one thing I know I missed. I'm not going to sit through 10-20 minutes if video for something that I just need a quick location on. For the most part I'll watch your things you missed on an area just to be sure I got everything after I've moved on from the area. Once in awhile I have to look elsewhere just because it's one specific thing I'm looking for.
That volcano manor boss fight kiled em easily with my bleed katana and swarm of flies with added poison mist. Boom easy fight

We skimmed over it briefly in this video but there was not a huge deal worth noting, only a scarab, a few smithing stones etc but nothing major 😊

You really need to redo this video to warn people that moving on in the invasions without handling side quests locks you out of certain cool items. For example, gotta do Patches side quest between the first and second or else no bull goat for you. Didn’t get bull goat til my third play through because I didn’t know this.
Happened to me.. the serpent instantly changed to the lady and asks if smtn happened in the room next door
What I did with the magma wyrm was run back to the elevator, ride it up, then sniped him from up top. Easy-peasy.

when you killed the omenkiller with summoned pumpkin head. you thought pumpkin head hit you. no he was trying to hit the Noble that is stuck/glitched into the floor. you usually can see the top of his head literally 10ft north of the omenkiller beside another Noble that is just waking up. Not sure if buried Noble is in a dungeon beneath the town.

Hey, I was wondering how you get up to that dection of the map after opening the lava bridge. Running across it back to the Prison Town Church grace, you can see a corpse lying precariously over the ledge above you with loot to take but I have no idea how to get up there!
There is also an iron maiden enemy up there as well but could never find the pathway leading to that part :(

Actually I think you CAN still complete the Volcano Manor requests even if you defeat the boss of the area. I killed the boss long before getting to the Mountain of the Giants but the invader spot was still there and I was able to defeat them and upon returning to the manor there was a prize left on the table.
I think you just have to at least accept those requests before killing the boss. I killed the boss before completing the first request and now everyone has left and I can't accept any more.
So that entire huge section is accessed through a hidden wall? Are there any in game hints that guide you to that wall or are the developers just assuming everyone will look online? In which case why make it hidden?

should of made a disclaimer that before doing volcano manor go to the site of the first invasion and do the invasion there so u can get the talisman bc if u go to volcano manor before doing this it will lock u out of that invasion

Recusant Henricus can be easy to miss because if you beat all major bosses in the area, for some reason the invasion doesn’t happen anymore. I think he is bugged and will not invade if you beat Margit.
I never opened the other doors at the start until I’d literally completed the manor, so I could only do the very first assassination. Also never met the friendly serpent. Silly me…
darn it. killed the boss before completing the various assassinations. I got up to the serpentbone katana... guess newgame+
