Blasphemy is arguably his greatest track ever, and it was tracks like this that separated him from other greats.
Top 3 for from the album:
1. Blasphemy
2. Hail Mary
3. Me and My Girlfriend
all amazing songs
Against all odds arguably greatest diss track in the history of hip hop and blasphemy is a spiritual masterpiece...hailmary may be the best song on the entire album!!!
so great!!!
@@rappinandsnackin 2Pac met Tha Realest aka Tenkamenin the Vigilante at a casino in Vegas in March 1996 true story!
this was the album that introduced me to hip hop..i was 10..Pac died, kids at my school were crying over it and i had no idea who he was...still remember one of my friends saying "Big Poppa killed 2pac" ....that christmas i got a boom box...i asked my friend for something to bump and he gave me this cassette...didnt really know what Pac was talking about but my mind was blown....since i heard it so young, the album just got better with age as I started to understand everything and catch things that were over my head back then...plus the tape was warped, and my radio was mono or some shit, so i first heard the album slightly sped up with none of the background adlibs ...so once i got the cd and a decent system, it was like a whole different album..mind blown twice lol
top 3:
hold ya head
me and my girlfriend
blasphemy
Mirror Tinted Vessel dope story... is this your fav Pac album?
@@rappinandsnackin yep
The best track is to live and die in la as for me it’s the song that represents his love for his residency, his respect for the residents… it’s one of his happiest tunes
it is a fantastic song
Top 3:
Bomb First
Hail Marry
Against All Odds
The man on the right knows his sh*t against all odds is deep😎🔥
thank you! Classic Pac track. Ahead of his time.
I believe an element to the name change was that he didn't own '2pac' the record label (interscope I think) did, so he was breaking from their chains and control. This can be seen in the change of tact from AEOM to the seven day theory. The FBI have files showing him being told to drop the revolutionary stuff and stick to party/gangsta rap and just enjoy the money.
Great breakdown, my fav would be blasphemy. I kinda wish they hadn't added toss it up and kept when thugz cry (the original version not the released one) on it, but they wanted a single to release..
salute, thanks for your detailed explanation and input!
This video should have a million views y’all talked bout it perfect
Thank you!! Got any fav tracks?
Amazing show guys. Goog job. Blasphemy was my favorite.
Appreciate you
Top 5
Blasphamy
White mans world
Hold ya head
Krazy
Life as an outlaw
K. Pizzle great tracks G
born in 01 hip hop fanatic.. years ago went through my cousin passing away from a drug overdose at 22. Was frustrated and upset all I can say this album helped me a lot.
@@christianguerrero1152 damn I’m sorry 🙏🏻
Born in 01’ too. RIP to your cousin!
Both 7 day theory and MATW were classic albums but my favorite tupac album is all eyes on me felt pac hit on 25 of the 27 tracks...ambition as a Ryder arguably the best start off song on any album, hearts of men, trading war stories, picture me rollin, shorty wanna be a thug and I love the concept behind heaven ain't hard to find, list goes on and on and the production is top notch!!!
those are my three fav Pac albums. So potent.
All eyez on me, the best album of the century
The makaveli album to me is leagues better than AEOM and MATW. I think there’s a small handful of skips on MATW but absolutely none on the 7 day theory
@@fettywapsmissingeye wasn't a big fan of toss it up and I think it feels out of place on makavelli album but two or three skips depending on the length of album doesn't necessarily take away from greatness of album...despite 27 tracks on all eyes on me I thought pac was accurate on at least 25 of the 27 tracks, if a QB goes 25 for 27 on the football field it's considered a great game!!!
My favourite album of all time.
LLsmoothJay dope! Fav tracks?
Rappin And Snackin the whole album but if I had to pick one track, either Blasphemy or Against all odds
@@LLsmoothJay solid picks!
1. White Manz World
2. Hold Ya Head
3. Blasphemy
great songs
MATW is my favorite PAC album but Makaveli was different and dark!
classics
Great picks from both of you!
I appreciate your knowledge and respect for this album.
My 3 favorite songs are:
Life Of An Outlaw
White Man’z World
Me And My Girlfriend
salute
Great insight! Very in-depth review.
Salute! Got a fav track?
@@rappinandsnackin Salute! The opening lines of Hail Mary are so uniquely-potent; it’s hard to consider any other song as being better.
@@timmclean7404 masterful way to start an album
It's hard to just pick a top 3 from his MAKAVELI album. But I'll do my best......
3.) Against All Odds
2.) Me & my girlfriend
1.) Hail Mary
Amazing songs
Holy Smokes! Two of my favorite songs are the same as Soren Baker's choices. Blasphemy, White Man's World, and Just Like Daddy are my favorites. Makaveli is by far a strong contender for best Tupac album.
classic album, salute!
This album with Friends and lost souls would of been bar none his best album love those two songs
he had some great songs that were on soundtracks, that is forsure
🐐🐐🐐 MAKAVELI 🐐🐐🐐

Makaveli da don takes you on a journey!
classic... what is your fav track?
@@rappinandsnackin BLASPHEMY IS DARK
@@mindovermatter1462 so good
Love the released cut of the album, in fact I had the remaster CD and bought the ORIGINAL CD after that since OG pressings typically sound better, this one really does! But question, I have a copy of the 3 Day Theory Demo (MP3s) with 14 tracks, I’m wondering if that’s the correct version that hit swap meets, burned and designed disc art and case art since I also love some of the stuff on 3 day. I’ve seen 18 tracks listed on another version, 20 or 21 on another, but the 14 I have flows so seamlessly that I can’t see it NOT being the original. If there’s anyone who’d know it’s you guys! 😎👍🏻
Salute! I actually don't have that version, I only have the official versions from stores. Maybe I will peep online later.
@@rappinandsnackin Hell even if you want one of the copies I have I’d be happy to press another one up for ya! Love the content, your videos have certainly helped me out with getting the right pressings of some of my favorites! Actually had the Australian version of the Marshall Mathers LP coming because of The Kids, I thought that was the only pressing it was on but I hate that it’s on the bonus disc and not the actual album disc, thanks to your video on that album I saw that the song was on the ACTUAL disc with the UK pressing so I just ordered that one too. With the Slim Shady LP I just ordered the original to replace my copy I bought at the mall years back (repressing), I know there’s a version of My Name Is with the teacher and the alien lines uncensored, but there’s also another explicit version where that’s still changed. I’m wondering if my copy coming will have the “banned” version or the normal explicit one, I’d love to see a breakdown of that album collection if you have one!
Also here’s the order of my version of the 3 Day Theory (for my CD pressing I converted the 320kbps MP3s to full blown WAV and burned to a disc, sounds solid for sure!):
1. Bomb First (OG)
2. Hail Mary (OG)
3. Krazy (OG)
4. Watch Ya Mouth (Unreleased Original)
5. To Live & Die In LA (OG)
6. Friendz (OG, different than the Too Gangsta For Radio version)
7. Blasphemy (OG)
8. Hold Ya Head (OG)
9. Lost Souls (OG, nearly identical to the Gang Related soundtrack version)
10. White Manz World (OG)
11. Niggaz Nature (OG, same situation as Friendz, different from Too Gangsta For Radio)
12. Against All Odds (OG)
13. Hidden Track (more of the radio static and radio chatter as an interlude)
14. When Thugz Cry (OG, TOTALLY different beat from the remix album it ended up on and WAY better as for most OG versions of Pac’s work)
Each track flows into the next better than the actually released album too ironically enough, I’ve seen other versions with demo versions of the released tracks too like Me & My Girlfriend, Toss It Up, but they never seem to fit into the mix like the version I have. Weird situation I know 🤣🤣
Makaveli might be my favorite Pac album.
classic album
It was written came out in july 96 7 day theory was done in August 96...its been made clear already that pac got the concept from nas he just formulated it differently that's all...doesn't take anything away from me and my girlfriend still a dope track as was nas song!!!
I originally thought this was true too, but there are multiple stories from people you would think to be legitimate sources that completely contradict each other. This has been brought up in quite a few interviews and articles. Regardless of whether it was inspired or not, both of the tracks are exceptional.
Nas got the cpncept from pharaoh monacr
Strictly 4 My... is my favorite Pac album. But 7 Day may be his greatest...can't choose 3 songs, though.
both so great
THE BEST ALBUM HE EVVVVVVER DID
Fav track?
Does anyone else hear TUPAC SAY SUGE SHOT ME at the very beginning of the Song??
Sure shot me or shoulda shot me… who knows
Black king youtube deshawnwords love for makaveli
To live and die in LA
great homage
make a video about wutang albums etc
Δημητρης Μασουρας just made a vid about Ghostface debut album two weeks ago, as well as a couple Wu vids in the past. Did you have any fav tracks from this album?
@@rappinandsnackin I saw the video and I agree for all that you had told but a video about a wu tang as a group for albums like iron flag , the w , forever will be very nice
@@user-hw3lf5sn9j thank you, we will take this into consideration. Appreciate the feedback!

@@user-hw3lf5sn9j the East Coast vs West Coast beef was real a heated rivalry other than that the Don Killuminate the 7 Day Theory album is a favorite of mine by 2Pac aka Makaveli the Don!
Amir has the same three I would’ve picked.
salute to you!
@@rappinandsnackin You should've read the article about the Don Killuminate 7 Day Theory album by 2Pac aka Makaveli the Don on Wikipedia before making this video to get the facts and more information about it!
best songs are Against All Odds, To Live And Die In LA and Hail Mary. this is number 1 for me in 2pac's discography. i wish you can make a video about Ice Cube's masterpiece I Am The West top 3 Songs !!!
and i want to ask you a random question, is the beat on the intro of The Chronic album by Dr.Dre the best beat on that album ? if yes/no why, why not
by the way great fuckin review, dont stop doing this type of videos bro or i will say Eminem's best album is Revival
@@basharkhalil4574 thank you! Funny with the "Revival" comment. I am not a big fan of the "I Am The West" album, so I will not make a video on it. I love that intro beat on "The Chronic", it is a shame they did not use it for more than just an intro. It is not my favorite beat on the album, my favorite might be "Deez Nuuuts"... it's hard to call!
IMO this is 2Pacs second best album and it comes second to Me Against The World.
Two classics! Got a fav from here?
@@rappinandsnackin
If we’re talking top 3 favorite songs I’d have to go
Life of an Outlaw
Hold Ya Head
White Man’z World
But I think the top 3 best songs are
Hail Mary
To Live and Die in LA
White Man’z World
Only reason I don’t have Me and My Girlfriend here is because Nas already used the gun concept. Dope song though.

Not sure what to believe at this moment the two of you should've read the article for the Don Killuminate the 7 Day Theory album by 2Pac on Wikipedia before making this type of video to have more information about it!
hey, what would you like more clarification on? Keep in mind, Wikipedia is not always the best source of information out there. We are also picking our favorite songs, not giving an in-depth analysis of this album.
@@rappinandsnackin I wanna know what you think of the Don Killuminate 7 Day Theory album by 2Pac aka Makaveli the Don from your opinion! The two of you did a great job you could've talked about Toss It Up which is one of the best diss records of all time going at Dr. Dre or Hold Ya Head which is also a classic. You left some of the other tracks out from the album such as Blasphemy Life of a Outlaw just to name a few. Correction Pac was the first to have the song Me and My Girlfriend before Jay-Z another thing is he called himself Makaveli the Don for a short time before his death! These are things the two of you left out great video by any means necessary.
@@steventopper9310 we only talked about our top three fav tracks from the album. We did not talk about every track from the album. We also know that Me And My Girlfriend was before the Jay-Z appropriation. We know he called himself Makaveli before his death. This is not hard to find information, and is accepted as general fact.
@@rappinandsnackin You should review Devil's Night by D12 another good album!
