Well put together video for the installation process. I didn't realize you needed a press to complete this install, good to know as most individuals do not have a large press laying around in their garage.
If I buy the 6 inch portals for a 2016 Polaris RZR XP 1000, do I need a lift kit as well? New A arms? Would love to try these out with 35 - 37 inch tires....
Well this has been an experience, I'm almost finished. Going to end up taking me over 12 hours to install. I'm NO mechanic, I dont even change the oil in my rzr, I have the dealer do it. A couple notes for the newb shadetree mechanics like me (these are probably a given for more experienced people): Get a couple big tables, lay EVERYTHING out on each side of the vehicle. I spent over half my time, searching through bags and boxes of parts and correct tools than actually installing the portals. I spent way too much time walking around the vehicle to get parts and tools. This video has been instrumental in the install, I've added at least 100+ views during the install lol. Order is important, you have to remove some parts to easily access other parts. Follow this video. I tried jumping ahead a few times and had to back myself out. The newer stock rzr front brake lines are held to the arms by tiny rivets (WTF Polaris). So your going to need a rivet gun to add the new brake lines. I would not suggest zip ties here. Passenger rear brake line was not even close to being long enough, I could not get enough slack to put the protector shroud back on. It is what it is. Driver rear, had miles of slack for some reason. Thats all for now, can't wait to get in the hills to try these things.
Great video guys!! I'm saving for the billet 4 inch lift for my yxz. I'm pretty sure it's going to be one of the first portaled yxz's on the East coast. One of my first big trips when it's completely done is going to be Moab.
What a great way to lift your rig buy 4 of thease gain 4'lift and lose ton of handeling .love how you dont need ton of extra up grades it uses the oem breaks pads drive shaft i wouldet mind a beefier longer lower radius arm but if if the ones on rig run fine i would not bother me
Strait up took me about a week working 3-4 hours. Most of time was spent getting steering box out. I also did rack boss steering rack. To install i had ti take my winch out and shocks out to give me most working room
@@neilhightower2270 and then proceeded to list about 3 other major steps that you also did during that time for another part. Which means it took you longer to do the install than it would if all you did was the portals. Like I said, not helpful 🤙🏽
So with a 4" portal lift on my 2017 sportsman xp highlifter 1000 atv what does the top speed go down to? Would like to keep as much top end as possible.
All depends on tire size, if you keep the same tires you had on the machine before installing portals yes your top speed will decrease. If you go with a larger tire after portals are installed you can retain your top speed.
@@SuperATVMedia Perfect. So stock 29.5 ol2 swapped to 33s should be good? Also I'd imagine the 15% gr is a better choice vs the 30% as far as top speed is concerned? Much appreciated on the response.
Sarah Nation. These have steel braided brake lines and robust banjo fittings, as long as it’s just hanging there not getting banged around or yanked on it will hurt absolutely nothing. But I guess there’s always that one guy/girl who has to find a fault, even if it’s ridiculous.

A press is not totally necessary it just makes the install easier. There are other ways of putting in the wheel studs.
@@SuperATVMedia This is true, I used some washers and cranked on an old lugnut, this seated the studs nicely. No pounding with a mallet or hammer.
Good video, well done. You lay it out very plain and simple.
Glad you liked it! We appreciate your support and feedback!

Do y’all make portal for a rzr 800 efi 50 inch
Do y’all have any 4 inch portals for a Honda rancher 2015 model
Not sure if it get mentioned in video but make sure you put anti seize on splines before you put hub on
No grease on the splines??
When you did that build on the blue RZR XP was it completely stock with no upgrade aftermarket parts
The only thing that unit had done at the time of this portal install was SuperATV 1.5" forward a-arms. The rest of the machine was stock.
@@SuperATVMedia are the 4" inch portals that where used are they a dual or single
Does the super atv portals come with everything you need to install?

Do one for the 2020 talon 1000r
What size socket is used for the recessed nut?
30mm

do you have a video on can am x3 install ? is it the same as the rzr ?
It'd sure be nice if they did. I have an X3 and am looking to do a portal install.
Very detailed, thank you.....
Love it😍😍, can this kit be use for heavier vehicles? ?
Yes! We offer universal 5 and 6 lug hubs so you can convert any portal kit to run on trucks and jeeps.
Where did you get the lyft
The lift in this video is a mid-rise lift from Forward Lifts.
great video. what's total time to install?

Id love to get one of these jacks for my sxs
They are nice! It's a midsize lift from Forward Lifts.
@SuperATVMedia much appreciated
How much wider does 4 inch portals make the buggie
4" wider per side so 8" added to width of machine.
What floor lift is that
The lift in this video is a Forward Mid-Rise lift.

Wont it run in reverse with the portals installed?
No, there is an intermediate gear between the pinion and spur inside the portal.
Does it make your stance wider?
Yes it makes the machine 4" wider per side, so 8" total width added to machine.

Very Nice 🇺🇸🇧🇷
Ps is it just me or did he put those pads in wrong?
Idk much about those side by side rigs but looks ALOT like my brake system on my yz426f
If only there are kits that mount brakes right after the diffs. You'll get 30% more braking power if the portal reduction is 30%.
Portals are nice but way to expensive for me.
Each build definitely has a budget! If you're interested in a set, they are 15% off now through midnight EST.
Never leave your caliber hanging

No brake lines or calipers were harmed in the making of this video :).
