Thank you so much for taking the time to post this video. Antartica is on my bucket list. It helps a lot what to see. We are going on a cruise to Antartica 2025. So I am reading up and watching a lot of video's. Going to the Penguin colony is a must for me and sending post card.
I'll take an aggressive penguin over a Canada Goose any day! So cute. Even lonely grumpy penguin is so stinking cute. Thanks for taking us to the end of the world!
We walked (crawled, actually) among elephant seals on a beach owned by the Argentine Navy, and wandered around Magellanic penguins on the Peninsula Valdez. A HIGHLY recommended trip!
OMG !! What a FUN beautiful video...That was so cool !!! Thank you...:)..God I love watching you 2 and all your fun adventures...Im so happy I stumbled onto this channel of goodness..I get to see the world in ways I never thought id see otherwise Thank you so much guys !! YOUR AWESOME !!! Your beautiful people..:)
Awe thanks so much! We are so glad you are enjoying our videos and getting to see new places at the same time! We love sharing our experiences of this beautiful and wonderful world!
Thank you! We had such a fun time seeing all the animals and exploring the so called "End of the World." We are glad we were able to share the fun experience with you 😁🥰
Yes we didn't have quite enough time to do a hike but if we did then this would have been our top choice. We heard so many great things about Laguna Esmeralda. Thanks for sharing!
Being in that boat was one of the most powerful experiences in my travelling life. There and the Ferry from Nth to Sth Islands, New Zealand, sailing through the South Island sounds surrounded by mountains
It is so neat you have been to the places we have been traveling lately and can reflect on your own memories from your travels. Ushuaia is such a remarkable place!
You guys rule! I found your content re packing for long term travel and then discovered how much South America content you have. I'm traveling South to North with my wife along the west coast of South America. Wishing you all the best wherever you are.
That's awesome. We have heard from a few people who send themselves postcards from around the world so that when they get back home they have a small souvenir. We thought that was pretty clever!
@@nicoleandmico It's a bit old fashion, but I also get charms for my charm bracelet. Charms are a great way to tell a life and/or travel story. Small pendants are typically more easy to find than actual charms but work the same.
Sadly we have already left Argentina, but those places look amazing! Sounds like we will have to go back to the end of the world one day to visit a few more places nearby 😊
The penguins are pretty cute and all but that beautiful couple you met was probably the highlight of the trip huh? 🤪 Jk! Guys, what a fun video! So cool to see your perspective and itinerary, even having gone to the same place ourselves. Really beautiful shots and amazing vlog 🥰
Haha that couple was definitely a highlight of the trip!! 😉We really are so glad we got to enjoy the penguin tour with you guys - it was such a great experience!!
Hi my husband and I are planning a trip for early next year. How long did you spend on Argentina in total? We’re trying to decide whether to come for 8 weeks or if that’s too long? We will fly to Ushuaia and then hire a car to travel as far as Bariloche and then fly to Iguassu with time in BA and Salta. Finding it hard to get ideas on planning a longer trip. Love your videos - thank you ❤
Enjoyed your vlog that also included the price. Questions-- 1. What is the penguin tour y'all went on? 2. What is USD blue, what kind of money is it? Thanks in advance!
Glad you enjoyed! We highly recommended checking out our Buenos Aires video to learn about the blue dollar. Also the tour is a penguin tour we booked by the water. Where all the tour companies are gathered
Hey there! We think they do! We didn't hear of any dates where they stop the tours, so hopefully they are still running them. There is only one tour company that allows you to walk on the island - they are called Pira Tours. We booked this tour the day before we went so you shouldn't have too much trouble being able to go! Have an AMAZING time!
We booked it in-person with Piratour at their booth. I think you can also book it online on their website if you search Piratour. They were great and allowed us to actually walk on the island which other tours don't do.
There's a booth in the touristy area downtown near the port and there they sell prepaid taxis/shuttles and we just took one from there. Hope this helps!
We purchased the tickets from a tour agency in Ushuaia called PiraTour. They are the only agency in town that is able to bring you right onto the Island, all the others will just bring a boat near the island and you can view the penguins from the boat, but we highly recommend booking with PiraTour so you can actually step onto the island with the penguins!
What is the name of the tour to go on the penguin island?? And did you book in person? Is it Piratour? I keep seeing a tour that claims to be the only one that lands on the island but trip advisor says it is winter only. I hope to hear from you guys! We are going this March 2023
Yes it was Piratour! We paid cash in person - they have a booth by the pier. I think they're still the only ones that do the walk on the island. Enjoy your trip! 🤗
@@nicoleandmico one more thing! 😅 did you book your hotels and Airbnb etc before going? Or were you able to use cash for these things? That’s the one part I’m confused about. How to book hotels and Airbnb while still saving by using cash

Haha so true! Somehow the penguins seem much less scary than Canadian Geese!
@@nicoleandmico lol. For sure. Gus and Ethel Goose are up to their regular bullying at TCT. Lol.
Of course. You can always count on those two year after year 😆

Wow we never knew you could do that, so cool!

You two are such a great duo! I dig these. Thanks for taking all of us along.

Awesome video, you should know the LAGUNA ESMERALDA is very beautiful, greetings
Yes we didn't have quite enough time to do a hike but if we did then this would have been our top choice. We heard so many great things about Laguna Esmeralda. Thanks for sharing!
The penguins are so cute! Thanks guys for your video! 😊
They were so ADORABLE 🥰 it was tempting to try and sneak one in our jacket 😆

That sounds like an incredible trip! We're so glad to hear you're finding our South America content helpful 😁
Love love your channel!!! thanks so much for this video! where did you book this tour?
We booked it with Piratour in downtown Ushuaia, right by the main touristy area near the port.
I have fun sending postcards from wherever I go, and the post office at the end of the world would be fantastic to send postcards from.
That's awesome. We have heard from a few people who send themselves postcards from around the world so that when they get back home they have a small souvenir. We thought that was pretty clever!
@@nicoleandmico That's another type of fun souvenir along with some of the functional souvenirs I get like the jewelry you get instead of knickknacks.
It's so cool you pick up jewelry along your travels as well! Definitely my favourite souvenir
@@nicoleandmico It's a bit old fashion, but I also get charms for my charm bracelet. Charms are a great way to tell a life and/or travel story. Small pendants are typically more easy to find than actual charms but work the same.
Oh that is such a neat idea! And charms or pendants are so small that you could collect them over a long trip as well.
Visit Isla de los Estados ( Staten Island) and MITRE península.
Sadly we have already left Argentina, but those places look amazing! Sounds like we will have to go back to the end of the world one day to visit a few more places nearby 😊

Do you need to buy tickets in advance? Trying to find information for how booked these tours get, and I don't want to miss out on a spot.
We booked it in Ushuaia for the next day but we suggest doing it advance since tourism has picked up since we filmed this video
Hi, N & M

We visited in late February/early March
