@@williamhoey5688Because Earth's gravity is nearly 6x greater than that of the Moon's. That fact will allow operators on the moon more time to adjust the craft for landing. Not to mention the fact that the calibration on the main thruster as well as the RCS is incredibly precise to not only drastically reduce re-entry velocity but also maneuver a cylindrical unmanned craft into the supporting structure of a launch pad. The boring but important test afterwards was being able to remount the booster on the launch mount and test the connector reconnecting to the booster which would in the future be used to refuel and theoretically be ready to launch again in an hour. If they can have a launch cadence like that, the cost of launching heavy payloads into space would drop dramatically making dreams of what we could do in space that died after the Apollo and Space Shuttle missions into eventual reality.
