    The P&H 4100 AC packs a working weight of over 1645 tons (not "almost 2 tons" as stated at 7:10) and is capable of moving 120-ton payloads of material. (standard tons)

    I love this channel because their thumbnails are not clickbait and they get to the point right away not leaving the thumbnail pic till the very end to make you watch the whole thing. Im still gonna watch the video in it’s entirety regardless but not too many channels do that. It’s all about getting views and clickbait these days and I avoid those channels at all costs.

  • @camgood2437
    @camgood2437 6 років тому +3

    The first one is so genius. If we just put those all along the east and west coast, like every twenty yards, the amount of electricity we could generate would be astronomical. Also, they are a cool thing to go out and stand on, so most people likely wouldn't mind having them up and down the entire coastline..

    • @daveg1318
      @daveg1318 6 років тому +2

      It can lift way more than 2 tonnes as well. Typically 4 passes for a 400 tonne haul truck in good material. Easily 100+

    P&H 4100 AC is a hydraulic shovel, not an excavator, the most noticeable difference is the bucket is rotated 180, and is partially operated via cables that you can see running above the boom. Cracking video liked

    Any Bridge in America with support Piers Columns tides and wave action could be the idea place and platform for wave and tide maybe even wind power generators. On the top of Skyscrapers might be a good spot for Solar and vertical wind power generators instead of the stupid waste of space of towers and antenna used for bragging rights for taller buildings. Architects and Engineers certainly can utilize power generation into their design even capturing the movement of the buildings themselves caused by the wind. Stabilizing the buildings using wind turbines between the buildings connecting them to each other like a lattice work for tornado hurricane and earthquake resistance.

    • @philtripe
      @philtripe 6 років тому +1

      that is a really stupid thought...of course everything thats ever been built in recent history, the wind loads and external conditions have been accounted for and the buildings are only strong enough to support themselves...you cant add a wind turbine to something that's not designed to take all that extra weight and moreover what wind will do to the building

    Only 4 liters per 33 feet to move over 10,000 tons (including weight of the machine itself) of Nasa rockets mover - seems ok! It's roughly equivalent of 20 miles/gallon for a 1 ton (2000 lbs) car.

    That wave power station was one of the smartest wave power things I have seen so far actually! But... I wonder if (even if this was probably an experiment station) is smart cost/benefit wise? How much did it cost and how much is that worth in power ie how long does it have to run before it can return the cost of making it. And maintenance and so on (waves might even break it). I'll have to research it looked pretty good actually...
    Ok read it was 50 kw, which is a bit on the small side ofc... but then again... looked pretty smart!
