Esfand, love the guy, but lets be honest. He's the guy who has gotten away with playing Ret Pala for years because those around him carried hard, funneled him loot etc
Esfand has played WoW way too damn much to be this awful lol. The fact he can’t play the game on anything but a classic ret paladin is wild. The class that has like 2 buttons Also what the hell does he mean he doesn’t have time. He’s a streamer lol
It's also probably a lot of habits built into playing normal mode as much as he has. Lot of people going into hardcore have to unlearn what they know from vanilla. Like, walking into the middle of that camp without clearing in is just a vanilla thing you do. On HC it's just a hyper dangerous spot soooooooooooo many people get pathed on and die. HC is a lot about game knowledge, but it's also about down stream decision making. What happens 2 minutes from now if I do X, what happens 5 min from now if I do Y. This is one of those down stream decisions that you don't think twice about in vanilla because vanilla is all about time efficiency. In HC though, not clearing into a camp, so you have an exit/safe place to fight is more often than not going to be a mistake. The question is, do you get punished for it. Whether or not he is "good" at the game in a mechanics sense doesn't really play in here IMO. This is just pure ingrained vanilla mentality vs HC realities.
Hc has made me realize that time in the game has zero relevence to skill expression. Thousands of wow players lock themselves into an echochamber of un imrpovement after clearing their first raid. So many casual players dont actually strive to improve as a player... Its easy to convince people youre a good player if you have knowledge base about items mechanics etc. its fraudulent
Honestly this is probably the most compassion i've ever heard from Tyler. I wonder if being a guild leader or working with so many people at once has changed him or if this is just his real personality coming in over his streaming one.
Being a guild leader does that to you, in part. You're constantly dealing with people and trying to solve issues between them in a fair way while also putting the guild as a whole in mind. It takes a big amount of willpower and mediation skills
Esfand really just trash at every class except paladin. I thought it was a meme that he doesnt play anything but pal but its legit guy cant even hit 60 on a non pal class.
@@daltonnelson94 the downplay is crazy. I am all about memes and mocking the guy but Esfand led his own guild raid all throughout classic all as a paladin. He used to be a competive player before he lost interest in Wow.

the basic concept of rotating frost shock (rank 1 works fine) with earthbind totem kiting will typically resolve this type of issue flawlessly. bro is super bad at the game ahhhhh

He’s been depressed. He was fighting with chat about how dangerous he was playing. Then he called people shit for suggesting they knew better than him.
A lot of people don't understand that Classic wow skills arent the same as hardcore leveling skills. Esfand is quite good in classic WoW, and would probably be great at 60 in dungeons and raids , but the skillset is different. He's even said that leveling was never his thing, and hardcore isn't his preferred way to play.
Lmao no. He's garbanzo, I used to consider him a legendary PvP paladin on the private servers scene from like 2016 or something. But looking at this when he can't even press earthbind totem (which is enough for him to be safe), and only then shapeshift just breaks every illusion of him being a good WoW player. And it's not like it's some in-depth knowledge, he was queueing battlegrounds 24/7. He dealt with totems all the time, and he should know about their input
He is not even good at Paladin. He isn't a good player. He played private servers only back when private server players were all bad and there was no community or meta for it. When players went to classic and attention was given to it and a meta, he came out as a clear bad player.
Esfand has always been a worse than OK player. He never played real WoW, he played Classic private servers back when it was only really bad players. He just never got good.
