    Just fyi, the stainless steel insulated KeepCups are good at keeping your drink warm for as long as any other stainless steel. That said I do not need my coffee to stay hot for that long and I like using the glass KeepCups without the lids for coffee at home.

    I absolutely hate pulling shots into the taller Frank Green cups at work. They'll fit under a naked portafilter fine but we need to use a dosing cup first for a spouted portafilter. Most KeepCups other than the giant 16oz and double walled plastic cups are great.

    I always use my Keep Cup in the mornings in my car on my way to work. I have 3 cups. The Frank Green is a pain to clean but it is good if I need to put coffee in my bag. Like you I use my Keep Cup more often.

    I've been loving my frank green tap to pay cup for a while now I just do a quick rinse on the inside while the botton is down and it's good to go and since it's great as well as a barista I've had no problems with it. I'm pretty happy I've changed from regular keep cups as there's a lot of benefits with frank green

    I agree that you don't want to keep your coffee scolding hot for hours. For some reason, I have found that coffee tastes better out of KeepCups than any other reusable cup I have tried and the stainless steel KeepCup keeps your coffee warm longer than the glass versions but not crazy hot. I was looking at a Frank Green cup but after seeing what a nuisance it is to clean the lid properly I think I will keep my money. However, the KeepCup lids all leak so they are no good for throwing into a handbag. Nice review, very balanced.

    Love the three bears reference. Keep cup all the way for me (long term taste test). Pays for itself (eventually) when cafes offer keep cup discount, and the last sips don't taste like paper.

      I am looking for a cup and the ones I have give the coffee a terrible taste. Is the glass keepcup good for taste? :) thanks

    We have a couple of both types, have completely given up on the Frank Green one, that clear insert is literally impossible to keep hygienically clean. Its fine if you can wash it out as soon as your done. But if you can't rinse it straight away, and coffee dries in there, you can't clean into those deep corners with a normal dish brush to get the dried crud out. It's a shame because they are brilliant cups otherwise.

    I don't get why ppl want their drink to be scolding hot for hours especially in 12/16oz size. I usually drink my beverage in under 30 minutes top. I've stopped using my Kinto and Zojirushi, and used regular plastic cup or Keep Cup instead for drinkable brew temperature on the go

    Wondering how the KeepCup LongPlay would fare against the Frank Green in the heat retention test...

      I have both. The long play disappointment me with regards to heat retention

    I am looking into getting a coffee and sip it almost immediately while driving. I have bought some cup with thermal insulation and it was too hot and initially burned my tongue 🙂 Looks like keep cup woul work better - no intention to keep coffee warm for more than 10-15 minutes ....

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  10 місяців тому

      Sounds great! it'll still be somewhat hot - as the keep cup is well insulated - but nowhere near the same as a thermal insulated cup 🙌

      @@AlternativeBrewing Thanks. Considering also Loveramics Nomad - still a porcelain cup. Somehow can't get used to the stainless steel inside variants. It feels to me, like it influences the taste, but well, it might be just me 🙂 ...

    Keep Cup should realise we are now in the age of silicone, meaning that outdated cork band should be replaced with a hygienic and durable silicone band ... simple!

      I have a keepcup that I purchased back in 2015 and it came with a silicone band.

    Yeah, sustainable high prices for cheap products. There are way better products out there for a fraction of the money.
