OMG THANK YOU!! Finally!! This is exactly what I needed! This has been driving me nuts! I kept saying they looked way too wide, no other adjustments worked and I had no clue how to fix the width without obscuring where the focal point on my lenses fall! This worked perfectly! You just saved me an hour trip to my optometrist!
It worked, I have a pair of metal arms (glasses frames) and they were sliding and I was worried wearing them because they would slid all over at the drop of a hat, but your simple solution/video SERIOUSLY saved the day. Thank you 😊🙌
I could not get this to work but I have a simplier fix that I came up with. Use those little dental rubber bands that people with braces use. Double wrap them around the frame arms and slide them all the way down into the hinge. I had to use 2-3 on some of the arms on my glasses. Took me less than 5 minutes and I just went and fixed all my stretched out eyeglasses!!!! Can't even see the rubber bands! Plus I still have the flex I need.
Great video! My glasses are brand new and do not sit even when on a flat service and when they’re upside down, so I know the temple arms at the hinges were made uneven, what should I do? I feel like asking for a new pair because I hate the idea of having new glasses bent just because they were made crooked.
I got tired of going to the optician for adjustments (18 miles round trip). If I got the right tech, they were adjusted fine, but if I got the wrong one, they'd be worse. I went on Amazon and bought an optical frame warmer for $110, but couldn't get the frame to bend. I returned it and bought their top of the line $170 model. No instructions. I fiddled with it, even got it up to 140 degrees, and couldn't make any adjustments after trying for over an hour. I went to my optician and she adjusted them in less than ten minutes. When I told her how I bought this $170 model and there were no instructions, she said that's because I should be taking my glasses to a professional for adjustments. Oh, well.
How do I remove the polarization off of my glasses? I wished that the people at the eye doctors had to take classes on fitting glasses. I have only experienced this one time with my glasses. The girl was a perfectionist. When I left my glasses fit my face amazing.
What about making them wider? I took it to a shop and the person said if he makes it wider then the front (lens part) will also change. Don’t know if that’s true becayse the frames were not from his store.
I tried the heat method to bend out the temple tips on my TR60 glasses because they pinch behind my ears, but they didn't budge a mm. Is there some trick to adjusting TR60 frames?
ive done this from the first day ive ever had glasses it just seemed so obvious ,im a tinkerer anyway i cant leave anything alone lol .....my biggest problem with glasses is arm length my ears are set so far back its crazy 150mm arms barely reach 😂😂 ....so many beautiful glasses i just cant wear

The "focal point" is actually the "optical center" for those who don't understand.
Nice but you need to state the best way to heat up plastic glasses to adjust.
Thanks for the info. I'm starting up a roadside glasses adjustment stall.
I couldn’t adjust the corner of the plastic arms with heat, but I adjusted the nose bridge with heat and that worked! Thank you.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I BOUGHT GLASSES ON LINE AND NEEDED ADJUSTING. THANKS FOR THESE GREAT TIPS. ORDERED ADJUST TOOLS ONLINE.

With plastic frames, you heat the arm where the spring is?
Great video!

I'd love to have this problem. I have a Neanderthal head!

Don't use a hard metal gear to adjust the metal frame,it will scratch the metal on it
