Bosie is Wilde’s greatest mistake. Toxic relationship. Toxic person. I can’t believe what Bosie did while Wilde was still alive and after he died. They made it seem that they have the deepest affection and love with each other but all Bosie did is make Wilde’s life miserable, even after death.

IBREATHEforDAEHWI I hundred procent agree, however it was Oscar’s choice to stick with him. De Profundis gives an amazing insight into their relationship and how it destroyed Wilde. Yet even then he went back to Bosie. And he destroyed him again. Both Wilde and The Happy Prince show this beautifully. It’s a tragic story about love, lust and adoration.

So loved this movie sad that his wife dies and his boys. DNT want anything to do with him ..he had nothing like he said after that...but yes very toxic relationship in which he chose to stay in..I can't believe his sentencing I DNT even know how they had real proof to throw him in jail and ruin his reputation...how sad

Bosie became Christian in the 20 century and next to politicians of the homophobic right. Not a good person.

Not only was the relationship toxic, but also its end is totally twisted up in the movie. Read De Profundis.

Nicky Videla Dorna Films always romanticise the plot, Wilde is no exception. Constance never visited him in prison and changed her name not to associated with Wilde. The Happy Prince show a slightly more accurate story. But even after writing De Profundis Bosie and Wilde were reunited - with all its disaster...

@@denisehoelandt7502 They were not reunited for long. That's the point. Romanticizing is an euphemism for lack of accuracy and arbitrary selection of the events of his life to sell an ideology. Go deeper into what happened after Wilde got out of prison and you'll see. Appreciate your comment though.

Nicky Videla Dorna Nicky Videla Dorna I appreciate yours! And I totally agree with you that their reunion was brief, however they were also driven apart my allowances being cut off by Constance, represented by Robbie, and Douglas’s mother. Do you recommend any literature on this? Please also bear in mind I made this video approx 10 years ago and have read and learned a lot since. I made this because Wilde practically signed his own death warrent trying to protect Bosie from his father. I do believe they did love each other in an incredibly twisted way. If only Wilde had stayed true to Robert Ross.

These characters (jack and rose) are interested only in love affairs. They don't have any other ambition. Those people have any history who are interested in love affais only. Only those people become successful and legends in their lives who have big ambition.. Martin Luther, Abraham Lincoln, Dr. ambedkar, Bruce Lee, Dr.abdul kalam were the real heroes. Because they didn't waste their time in watching such useless dreams.. Take inspiration from such great personalities. Think big.. Make big ambitions...
