    basically what he is saying is, it's ok to draw inspiration from different sources. nobody comes up with an idea out of nowhere without some sort inspiration or influence from other people. new ideas are made up of pieces of multiple ideas plus some of your own.

      Sometimes the most intelligent message is also the most simple. For example.... Rodney King said. "Can't we all just get along." And Plato said "Courage is knowing what not to fear." Just because these are simple ideas don't mean that they are saying "nothing"

      +Justin Rios If only you were paying close attention instead of downplaying the situation you would understand the key point here and not just focusing on an intelligent spectrum of words. But a deep concept of what he's actually saying. Stop focusing on "how" he's saying it, but "What" he's saying really!!! And give me a brief example, give a link if you have one, where a 4th Grader speaks this way?!?!

    • @ericchapman2706
      @ericchapman2706 8 років тому +3

      +Justin Rios "FITTING IN"??? "FITTING IN"??? When did you hear him say the words "FITTING IN" to society? He's just trying to bring awareness to those who are ignorant of these kinds of subjects!!! And naw man I'm 22 actually. And I'm just very proud to see where this young mans head is at, cause there really AIN'T many his age with this level of knowledge and YOU know it!!! Give me something to back up YOUR claim then?!? And how old are you, 30???

    • @carolinaapintoo
      @carolinaapintoo 9 років тому +1

      +Palm93 I'm a very skeptical person, I don't believe there's such thing as a soul. what is a soul ? the culmination on thoughts and actions ? thinking itself is way more complex, it's not simply a complex I dare say
      according to the psychic apparatus we have 3 distinct thinking dimensions
      the id is the set of uncoordinated instinctual trends
      the super-ego plays the critical and moralizing role
      the ego is the organized, realistic part that mediates between the desires of the id and the super-ego.
      The super-ego can stop one from doing what what it desires. so I don't believe that the so called soul fits all 3 of these patterns into it. I think soul is a factualized concept. it's not material, not biological, it's not a tissue. then what is it ? does it correspond to what we can't see ? to what we experience ? oh that person is a any soul, that's very generalised because going to church and doing charity doesn't mean that the person has the nicest thoughts, you know what I'm saying ?

    This man stream of consciousness is crazy. All the things he's saying I relate to so much. Those who mock him just don't understand him. And that's ok, I rather be mocked and ridiculed by my knowledge and enlightenment than fitting in with a crowd who follows and is enslaved to a system, that is content with an average life and doesn't see the flaws of the society and the bodies of law around. I gotta be surrounded by people like him, intellectual people that are aware of what's around them and does not want to conform to those ways.

      @aaronbrutus1239 8 років тому +1

      tim w Yes. he has an understanding at his young age that I did not have until I was in my mid twenties. You just aren't at a place in your life mentally or consciously where you can understand. It doesn't make you less of person than anyone. You're just on your own journey and right now in your path what he's saying hasn't been revealed to you.

      Jaden Smith is among a new class of modern Aristocrats. His parents have wealth, status, and provide their children opportunities and privileges. This creates a bubble, being apart from the everyday worries, they can fill time with pseudo philosophy. We can't. We've got to stress about school, so we can stress about our job, and stress about our families.
      His philosophies and ideas are interesting. But they're not anything more. It's as cogent and smart, as you can expect from a 17 year old, limited by maturity and life-experience. I'm not saying, we shouldn't listen, but not give this guy any more undeserved praise, than this celeb culture provides. Too much could make this young's man ego get too big that it might explode. And then, whose going to make After Earth 2.
      I'm out to the real world and yes I'm hella bitter.

      Haven't awaken yet, I see. You must follow to lead. For example, a child must follow their parents to learn values and morals, then that child must become aware of their own interests and beliefs by tuning into the "self", and soon become leaders to teach others such as their own children or a community through the same process.

    Great video and Jaden bought up some great ideas. I just wanna state my opinion as an artist myself. I totally agree with the mimicking however there's one thing i believe he left out. He mentioned that the child should not be judged for mimicking this i agree with however if you are still finding yourself keep practicing what ever it is you are trying to achieve thats the problem with artists these days compared to years ago, due to the internet and technology artists are being thrown into the spotlight too quickly thus allowing the world to judge. The world will not stop being judgmental and neither will most people however if you sharpen your blade under the radar until you have developed your own thing then you will not be judged and you would have payed dues to your craft, don't get the confused with paying dues to the scene cos its not about that its about putting in the work to yourself and you art. I've spent years crafting my music and writing and only now have i come up with my own unique style and i feel ready to give it to the world. On the other hand people will say that you should release music and who is this random to say stay practicing in your bedroom til your ready but that is the only sure way to not be judged by a lot of ppl. If you sound like another artist you can't expect people to not call you on it. Once again loved the video merely my perspective. if you'd like to check out my music feel free to visit soundcloud.com/fevapres 1 love and peace.

    I for one think Jaden is very wise beyond his years and that he'll be a successful individual regardless of having famous parents. For everyone making fun of him disagreeing with his ideas I'm almost positive you're nowhere near as successful as him

    He seems really smart, free, and the personification of what it means to be a human being in the 21st century. I'm jealous, I wish I could of developed that fast. I had to go to college to learn some of the things he's talking about.The origin of his fast development should be obvious, he has the resources for such a development. Smart successful parents, wealth, and probably one of the best educations.

      If he wants everyone to experience the freedom to create, explore, and influence like he has, either they need the resources he has, or the world needs to be structured in a way where it isn't dependant on those resources. Currently it's not like...it's naive at best...ignorant at worst to think otherwise.

    Jaden is another example of how madness is equivalent to Genius. Madness as in the far out style, being your own self and something nobody has seen before.
    People enjoy fast criticism and don't care to understand things to really know their why. But he really is a highly intellectual guy.
    He speaks in poetic ways that may sound odd or stupid but it's really great lessons that only the people with that same far out heart and mind will enjoy.

    anyone who understood what he said and then read the comments is probably completely baffled. listen to what he said about a baby mimicking and being unjudged and now in the comments there's a handful of people judging jaden and calling him a rich douche bag. the thing is you people cannot look past the fact that he's rich and hes rich from his parents but he'll his making his own money now. and I know for a fact that if I saw this video and it was some random dude no one knew I'd STILL think it was beautiful because its not about who is saying the words it's about the words being said. jaden isn't standing there in front of that camera talking for people to think wow jaden is so god damn intellectual hes there so people can here what he has to say and the same goes for his music. everyone hates him because he was born rich. what the hell does that matter? he's making music for your ears and your ears for your mind not for you to look past the lyrics and the beat and go straight to the fact that he's will smiths son. I think jaden is ahead of our time and I think he's brilliant. I think we need more people to notice his brilliance and we need more people to support and appreciate it. it's truley beautiful

      +Hellen Yuger For the most part I agree with what you said but in what way do you think he's ahead of our time?

    • @hotchoclateymilk7790
      @hotchoclateymilk7790 9 років тому +4

      +uniconism because i believe that alot of us want to think like this and want to talk freely about these things but for some reason these deep conversations aren't really relevant in our lives and I feel like jaden just passes the whole relevancy factor and goes with what's in his mind and that's something that not everyone does these days. like so many kids are all like "i love deep late night convos" and they actually really do but the conversations only seem natural at night when your mind is spinning with thoughts. when in reality your mind is always like that you just haven't accepted it and I think having these conversations and writing poetry and being confident in your own style will be the future I think it's something we all dream of it was something that was completely natural in the past and its apart of human nature to think creatively and free and you can already see it coming back. and it just hasn't happened yet and I believe jaden has started these things himself. of course though I don't know jaden at all...I'm taking this idea from some videos I've seen of him and his Instagram. i dont know I just get this vibe from him that he's making changes in the norm.
