Very much appreciated for everything that you do and continue to do.
Hi Chuck, your docker video was my first introduction to docker. I am an amateur / intermediate linux user. But was always looking at Docker as if it were like kids playing in the docker pool and was too hesitant to dip my toe in. Your video pushed my in the pool. And i was like wow! Docker is so cool!!!!!! This is so fun! Look at me I'm playing in the pool too with other kids! I am a fan of your channel. Some more things i would like to see: 1. Linux tutorials and tips and tricks. There are videos - but real dry. You have a style and method to make networking and linux fun! 2. Some networking videos and tutorials. Different job paths. Tools. 3. Projects. I think that is a real strength for you. Projects are better than just learning a skill on it's own. Projects add context to skills - this is what you can do with a skill. Things to make and do with a Pi. How to setup a home network. Home security. Basic and advanced. Some projects - people might be like "nah, i'm not going to do that". But so far i think you have a knack for picking interesting and cool projects that people want to do and try. You make it fun and interesting. I would say that is a strength of yours - you can harness and channel that in an interesting way. All the best - Nate.
Its a scary move, I just quit my job today. I was working as a mechanic post Army, and just landed my first civilian IT job. Good luck moving forward, I enjoy your videos!
It's good to have people like you on UA-cam helping the IT community to succeed in this field. Hope I can learn more from you. Contrats on your Linux+!
Hi Chuck, that's brave move. We appreciate how you describe IT stuff, watched your stuff for few years. Subscribed now. Will watch ads too to help the project. Just joined as well.
Fantastic! Thank not only you but your family and the courage. It speaks of who you are to help others regardless of funding. Cheers to you and yours kind sir!
Im a first time mom, starting my it career. This past month I fell into a deep depression hole. Your ccna videos motivate me again. So, thanks for all your work 🤗
Congrats on the leap of faith. While I'm not a huge fan of the beard.....LOL, I immediately liked your style of explaining things when I found the channel. Your level of excitement and genuine amazement at learning new things and telling us about them was legitimately inspiring to me. I'm almost 35, and worked in a completely different tech background for many years (Mechanical Engineer) and capital equipment sales....but amongst my friends and family, and co-workers, I was always "that guy" who could help with most computer issues around the house or office. Computers are the only thing I've ever been able to sit down and completely get lost in pursuing a solution or a better way of doing things, while not having it not feel like work. After some difficult times that left me out of a job, I decided enough was enough, and regardless of the money, I was going to do whatever it took to cross over to the IT industry even though I had no formal work experience in that field. So I looked and looked, and looked, and ended up finding some funding for a CCNA course, Security+, and Network+. I have yet to complete the exams, but the fact I was pursuing them allowed me to get hired on a temp-to perm contract at a Cloud Desktop Hosting company that supports some 400+ various tax and financial software packages. As a tier 1 helpdesk entry job, the pay is what it is. But the tech level is pretty high comparatively to most T1 jobs from what I can tell. I have been learning the intimate details of AD, and APPV hosting, virtual machines, api based stuff, web to desktop integrations, cloud printing and other hardware stuff.....It has been fantastic thus far. I don't really watch TV anymore, I just watch UA-cam and listen to podcasts, and constantly try to learn new things while I am still studying to take my Sec+ exam first. Thanks for everything you put out, and your enthusiasm. It's contagious. The self-paced studying discipline is no doubt the hardest part. Keep it up man.
Good luck in your future projects man! You have helped a lot of people here on UA-cam, such as me, who have taken and passed my CCENT and CCNA Security exams, using your channel as a reference!
I'm glad that you were able to make this transition and follow what you want to do. I have access to CBT Nuggets through my work, but I use UA-cam to learn so much and I'm glad that there are people like you on here putting out quality content that can help people learn new skills even if the only payment they can give is to watch a few adds. Wishing you all the best in your new endeavor and I'll be following your channel. Cheers!
It's hard. but you choose to help us who are getting started with our IT career. Thank you Chuck. especially us from Philippines where we can't really afford a course even if we have an entry-level IT support job.
I really wanted to share with you how much your videos have helped me. Helped me stay on track to get my CCNA a year ago! I recently moved to a new job role for better money. Still a desktop technician type role with an MSP. But the culture is horrible and borderline abusive leadership. It’s sapped every bit of motivation to progress out of me. I’m trying to get my CCNP now, and I always come find a Network Chuck video to get me back in gear. I’m really gunning to find a network admin role with a good team now. So basically thanks for doing what you do! I’d love to see some videos of Network Chuck in the console doing some work!
Really wish you the very best, Chuck! I’ve followed you for some time, and will continue to do so. I have learnt so much from you. Looking forward to see where this goes. Greetings from the U.K.!
I know nothing about IT, but wanted to support you in your new journey. It’s scary taking a risk, but risk takers are what changes the world! I remember when you first started making videos as a kid and look where it led you! Praying for y’all!!
Thank you Chuck. You are blessed with character and voice and talent and good heart. Started watching you since the Unifi DreamMachine review and am hooked. And now this? I’m going to support you and your family all the way from 🇲🇾 !
Congratulations Chuck! Don't you worry about quitting your job. You are great at this channel, you offer great content and are great at teaching. You will succeed and flourish just because you are great at it. You are not annoying and seem very personable. May God bless your new decision and thank you for keeping us motivated and educated!
Hi Chuck I work in IT and really love your channel and it is very one of the best IT channels on UA-cam out of the ones I have seen. The quality of the production is awesome, so is the content and how you communicate it. Your message is very inspirational.
Man this is awesome! I've been watching you a while. I had exposure to IT from my older brother when he was a sub contractor mostly cabling and now he's a Forescout guy. I've been back and forth interested in IT and Development/coding, and recently learned about the Sysadmin and DevOps paths and the whole Linux world. I've been very interested because it seems to be right down the middle and a win win in ways haha. It's awesome because you have made a lot of informative videos pertaining to those paths and I am so grateful for that! I'm a very hands on guy, so for you to bring that exposure to people like me is unreal. Super grateful for you man! Also I recently landed a dream job for me as a cable/phone support in the IT department at my church in NorCal (pretty big church) and I get so much exposure in so many things IT. Watching your channel gave me a lot of confidence (and continues to do so lol) going in without too much experience. I'm just very excited about my job because there is a LOT of time to study as well and I've never had a job that I could actually develop myself in skills that set me up for success like this. So excited to be able to advance and provide for my wife and 2 girls. So much love haha thanks man!
Right on man good for you for having courage and strength to make more of yourself.. I am getting my computer science and engineering degree and your show is awesome to watch for sure!! Keep making content it helps me for sure
Hi chuck, last year I got ccnet and thought I didn't have enough time to get icnd2 and becoming ccna certified but then I watched your "get your ccna right now" video and you inspired me after that I got my ccna on february 22 ! Now I work in IT. just wanted let you know that you had so big inpact on my career .Thank you !
Thanks Chuck! This is a big move and you've done this because you are being so considerate and caring about other people. David Bombal was recently in my country RSA and has recently arrived back to the UK. Then he released a short video of him giving away free courses 😅 that was my best chance to get a CCNA and Linux course asap... You guys are awesome and changing lives for the better. I wish you all the best. God bless you 🙏
Thank you for all of your work. I have just finished up watching all of the CCNA videos on CBTNuggets last Friday and passed the new CCNA yesterday!! I attribute a lot of my success to your videos. The new test was heavy on the network automation portion, which you did a rocking job explaining. Thank you and good luck.
Hey Chuck, I’ve been in IT for about 20 years now, primarily doing storage and virtualization with some networking, basically a jack of most trades. I started following your channel a few months back and just wanted to say I love your content. Your videos have inspired me to look more into Linux, Raspberry Pi, Docker, etc.. love those videos and your energy! Thanks so much for the content and all the best going forward. I will definitely be a supporter! Cheers (y)
Bro you are truly a hero to me. I was always involved in IT as an IT student, but I had NO IDEA what to really focus on, as IT is such a huge topic. The first video I ever watched from you was "Am I Smart Enough to Be a Network Engineer". That day caused a HUGE chain reaction for me. I completed CCNA and got my first job and I was LOVING it (even though it was mostly support), but because of the MOTIVATION I got from watching your videos, all I wanted to do was to learn more. And here I am, 3 years later with an amazing job as a Network Engineer looking back at all the great videos from you over the years. You completely (literally) changed my life !!! For future reference to your channel, I would love if you can go back to those roots and tell people why the must become x..... Job opportunities, study material. Just overall what would make that job great, because you are truly gifted regarding motivation man!!
Just joined this past week and your channel is awesome. I am glad you are following your passion. I just started my channel and hope that leads to something. Good move and God Bless.
Good luck! Have to say your UA-cam videos inspired me to get my CCENT last year and February this year getting CCNA Routing and Switching. Keep up the good work.
Noooo! I did your az900 and passed the exam on May 18th and now have the ccna 200-301 this Friday! Enjoyed doing api requests with postman! Well all the best for the future I think you will do well and hats off to you for taking this leap of faith!! Thanks for your time on cbt and ill be watching from UA-cam!
Kinda feel concerned it right now and quit my job as a NOC Manager with some medical issue behind the scenes that made this happen. After the dust settles I will be focusing a new career path and your content is great! Watching how humbling you are helps others and I just want to say thank you! Though this is 8 months old, the matrix is a time warp and anytime is a great time.
I started learning to program a few weeks ago and you're the reason I picked up the raspberry pi 4. Love you man. I KNOW you'll make it big but the more beautiful thing will be that it'll be the result of such good intents. Thanks for being the amazing person that you are! Such an amazing role model for those daughters of yours!
Good man. I’ve been a freelance backup and storage pro for 15 years - it was very scary to start with but ultimately very fulfilling. Looking forward to the next level!
Just watched this. You're a badass dude. Thanks. You helped this 41 year old learn IT like none other could. Even with my IT degree, you taught me the basics better than they could in a matter of a few videos. Your coffee is good too. Got a bag of Mexican blend. I am on my way to Google Cloud Engineer Certification as this is my newest job.
Hey chuck, you got this! Yes you help us so much man, I working on my CCNA and you’re videos motivate me heavily, we got your back with the views and comments sir, keep doing you!!
Best of luck Chuck!!! We will be watching, and can't wait to see what you have in store for us. Also, would love to hear you talk with veterans in IT. I know for me joining the US Army to do Networking was by far the best decision I ever made and too few people realize the benefits of getting experience in the Military for IT.
+1 for Jeremy’s IT lab. I’ve watched all his CCNA videos and he’s an awesome teacher and just a decent guy. Good luck dude. I changed my career path from F&B to IT when I was 40. You’re so young and probably have plenty time but you never know how long you’ve got, so just go for it!
Hey mate thank you for your servant heart. Was encouraged by your generosity. I am in IT myself, transitioning from senior desktop support to system admin. Very awkward stage. Currently studying/using Linux and want to get into Azure. Will be supporting you. May God use you 🙏
Been following you since I started on this networking path with zero knowledge. You've helped inspire and motivate me and I'm proud to say I am now a network engineer with the CompTIA trifecta, CCNA, and CCDA. I look forward to more videos and would love to see you do some CML/GNS3/Eve-NG labs!
New chapters are always scary imo. I recently quit my job as well. My situation was different, I was unhappy with my job/boss. However, I had a side hussle as a Devops consultant which I'm looking to do full time and I'm a lot more happier. Super scary during these times but super happy for you man!
Hey Chuck! You are an inspiration, and your love and passion for helping others are what makes you this great guy loved by hundreds of people in this community. Please be encouraged!!!

Hi Chuck, just recently tuned in on your channel. I enjoy your way of explaining things. It is very educational indeed. You are doing a good job on that. I wish you a lot of succes with your new carreer. I will surely be following you. Greetings from The Netherlands.
Good luck Chuck. I resigned from job 3 years ago to retrain at age 51. Got my CCNA just before lock-down started in UK. Looking for work now, not the best time but using it to learn linux. Thanks to you and all the peeps making these vids, you are really helping people all over the planet.
Your video's have been so helpful in my plight to pursue a networking career. I love your honesty, and glad that you'll be doing training video's on UA-cam. I hope your brother will do a few also ;-) , I want to consider pursuing a Cloud Engineer role and would like to know about his journey. I come from a Telecommunications background, and interested in learning something new. Stay motivated, positive, and honest. Let's go!
Oh wow!!! I just came across your channel the other day and I subscribed because I’m on the path to getting my CCNA. Currently in retail, 8+ yrs upper-level management. Due to COVID-19, I’ll be out of a job soon bc my store is closing permanently. I think in one of your vids, you stated you lived in Dallas, as do I (well, Melissa now). Currently working, and taking virtual Cisco courses through Collin College. But as stated, will be out of work soon and currently looking for steady income while I work towards my certification. With feeling the pressure of rebuilding my next career path, i cannot tell you how brave it is of you to venture into the unknown, especially with your proven success!! I’ll be watching all your past videos! And I’ll be looking forward to you new journey! Much success to you and your family!
Following what you love to do the most is very rewarding. and sets an example for your viewers. I would like to see more System Admin content if you are willing (Azure, Microsoft Server, Linux, server configuration, etc).
Judging by the mixed look of joy and fear you did the right thing ;-) Best of luck. Shout out to your wife and kids for supporting you too. Its takes balls when you have 4 kids to quit your job to do what you are really passionate about. I wish you every success.
I have been in IT for a while as well, and to your point the current situation have really put me in a spot to rethink my career. Im in storage unlike u in network but I think the challenges are often the same... i enjoy the youtube content piece like you do because of the ability to have a larger impact. You are an inspiration to those of us who wants to do this... best of luck.... im not quite there yet, hopefully I will continue to get tips from how u do your content and learn from it.... good stuff mate!
This video is awesome. Thanks Chuck. I’m going to start my IT career journey this month, and this kind of videos help me so much to keep me focus and excited! Thanks!!
Chuck, I believe there is no higher calling in life than to help others. I got into IT over 20 years ago. (Passed CCNA in 1999.) Didn't have $$ to train but I met a guy who was Novell CNE/CNI. HIS WILLINGNESS TO HELP ME CHANGED MY LIFE. Look at the number of people YOU help! You're going to do great things! You can get everything you need in life if to help enough other people get the things they need. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers every day. Go for IT! john

So, thanks for all your work 🤗
Good luck!
Following this channel for a very short period but learned a lot!
Thanks for everything and please continue with what you're doing.
Well good on you for following your dreams. I hope everything works out for you.
Cheers!
You're gonna do great dude!! You were on of the first if not the first person I watched that got me into IT on the road to getting my CCNA.
Wow you have a big heart... Thank you so much.... Your videos helped me a lot. Love from Maldives
It's hard. but you choose to help us who are getting started with our IT career.
Wish u all the best Chuck, im excited to follow your new journey!
Hats off sir! I wish you the best in your UA-cam endeavors and I support your passion!
Your a inspiration bro. Keep it moving.
Thank you Chuck. You are blessed with character and voice and talent and good heart. Started watching you since the Unifi DreamMachine review and am hooked. And now this? I’m going to support you and your family all the way from 🇲🇾 !
I hope you find happiness and also money 😀 in this journey ..hats off to you for doing this full time for the community ..
Congratulations Chuck! Don't you worry about quitting your job. You are great at this channel, you offer great content and are great at teaching. You will succeed and flourish just because you are great at it. You are not annoying and seem very personable. May God bless your new decision and thank you for keeping us motivated and educated!
Thank you!! This comment has made my morning :)
As far as future videos… everything Linux haha
Right on man good for you for having courage and strength to make more of yourself.. I am getting my computer science and engineering degree and your show is awesome to watch for sure!! Keep making content it helps me for sure
Best wishes on your big leap. I know you'll make a huge success of the move while being happy doing what you love. Congrats.
Cheers (y)
All the best Chuck, I am sure you would do well and excel. God bless you.
I wish you luck in your new venture. I'll be watching for sure!!
Thank you for your work and dedication. You are a source of inspiration.
Hello Chuck, Thank for all you do on here! You have helped me a lot! I will be praying for your new adventure!
Love your channel. I’ve ;earned so much and love your teaching style and enthusiasm, obvious passion for the topics.
Good luck! Have to say your UA-cam videos inspired me to get my CCENT last year and February this year getting CCNA Routing and Switching. Keep up the good work.
I found you by researching Ubiquiti - clearly it was your job before, but you are an awesome no nonsense teacher! Great channel!
Good for you Chuck, looking forward for you to encourage more people to learn things on IT. Good luck and god bless you
Kinda feel concerned it right now and quit my job as a NOC Manager with some medical issue behind the scenes that made this happen. After the dust settles I will be focusing a new career path and your content is great! Watching how humbling you are helps others and I just want to say thank you! Though this is 8 months old, the matrix is a time warp and anytime is a great time.
Congrats! I quit my job recently too and started my own company. What a scary yet exciting and liberating experience. I wish you all the best!
I am great fan of you & Keith. You will be so blessed sir for what you are going do now on, we all are here to support you...🤩😊
Always encouraged by what you do and that one can excel in IT without a college degree. Keep on the good work. Looking forward to more content.
Thanks Chuck,
I've always loved your energy and passion for educating others.
Great Chuck! Nice to see your doing this to help others. Great job! You will be great.
Go for it. You have been a mentor to me and got my Azure cert and studying Linux and Python thanks to you.
Hey Chuck! You are an inspiration, and your love and passion for helping others are what makes you this great guy loved by hundreds of people in this community. Please be encouraged!!!
Self taught Azure Cloud Architect here! I just found your channel. This is great stuff! I run a mid-side company’s IT department with another person. We both are self taught and do everything from pc repairs, networking web dev. to cloud solution. I wish you the best in your future endeavors! can’t wait to see your upcoming content and projects.
How did you learn azure cloud architect!? I wanna start also, looking up to you.
Hi Chuck, just recently tuned in on your channel. I enjoy your way of explaining things. It is very educational indeed. You are doing a good job on that. I wish you a lot of succes with your new carreer. I will surely be following you. Greetings from The Netherlands.
You are a real inspiration, I like that you take risks!
Good luck Chuck. I resigned from job 3 years ago to retrain at age 51. Got my CCNA just before lock-down started in UK. Looking for work now, not the best time but using it to learn linux. Thanks to you and all the peeps making these vids, you are really helping people all over the planet.
GazbertUK - Try doing some volunteer work for local nonprofits. Set limits, because demand will go through the roof. Good luck!
Thank you! And good luck! You’re on the right path.
Hey Chuck, I just found your channel recently and have been enjoying it. Congrats on your decision and good luck! 💪📈
Good Luck, Chuck! We'll be here to suppport you
Following what you love to do the most is very rewarding. and sets an example for your viewers. I would like to see more System Admin content if you are willing (Azure, Microsoft Server, Linux, server configuration, etc).
I wish you all the success!! Thank you for sharing what you know as a friend would do!!!
Judging by the mixed look of joy and fear you did the right thing ;-) Best of luck. Shout out to your wife and kids for supporting you too. Its takes balls when you have 4 kids to quit your job to do what you are really passionate about. I wish you every success.
Nice one Chuck. And I wish you best of luck as you boldly took this positive step. You've been impacting knowledge in a lot of people
Good luck with your journey. I really hope it works out for you.
All the way from Ethiopia man, big fan, its hard to pay for courses here so mad mad respect !!!
Go for IT! john
