In all of SYRE and ERYS, Jaden embarks on an impossible and everlasting journey to win this girl back, chase her down, and beat out the sunset. In “Summertime in Paris”, Jaden says “I don’t wanna go home” and remarks on summertime being a time to forget all your cares and fall in love with someone… Rainbow Bap is the sequel to that song and what I believe may be the end of SYRE. SYRE recognizes that he is in fact home now: “how many times I gotta tell you n***as I’m home”. This is the acceptance stage for SYRE. He knows “if we could fly through a pink sky, we would never go back”, which is the vision he was so attached to. But then he realizes “I'm tryna feel your love but I'm not fucked up enough” and comes to terms with the fact that the sun must set on this chapter of his life. “Know your history, inherit the confidence // let the sunset in the back”. Jaden's music (to me) has been about learning to accept that people grow at different paces. It's beautiful and it tells a story so many of us can connect with because this music is hitting us at different stages of our lives. Now SYRE (who is the embodiment of teenage hope and love) has been quieted by Jaden’s more mature side, left trying to make peace without closure, which is one of the most difficult things to do. “Make peace with you, I try // I never got to say goodbye // I’m somewhere in the sky // Singing twisted lullabies” Now SYRE lives in limbo, never quite able to get that closure, floating in the mountains, forever. This is what some people believe ghosts to be; that is to say people who have unfinished business on earth. And so, “Syre lived forever on // And never and forever alone.”

Like take this song for example - at 3:44 he recreates a melody in the background from Summertime in Paris to hint at a connection (I think). Just so well done. I'm a 27 yr old and I've been listing to Jaden since "Offering, Scarface, and 4 my 1" this was like 4-5 years ago and he got me thru a job interview that was going to be the biggest interview of my life because I was going in for a career not a job. All I can say is Jaden makes music that inspires hope, wisdom, intelligence, serenity, tranquility, peace. and i know some of the words mean the same thing but i cant stress it enough. When I listen to his music I think about me and my lover (if i had one) driving down PCH with the top down maybe her name can be Frankie or something. Point is he shifts me to another realm of peaceful thoughts, peaceful thinking, higher plane of thoughts and that's just proof that YOU can change how you think and how you feel. The brain is a powerful tool! None the less, if you're reading this I know 2020 has been a bitch of year but learn to adapt, be nimble be happy.
