Thanks Randy. Now I'm really buckling down on learning the software.

The important thing is that you didn't give up, and you managed without outside assistance. I've been left on hold for an approval on a number of occasions, indefinitely a couple of times and it's infuriating. I had a similar issue with the stepper motor leads on a telescope's go-to mount years ago, but unlike you I gave up! Props to you Dane.

I think I lucked out finding the problem. I’m now working my way through carveco maker. That’s a design program. There is a more user friendly hardware but I know I will want to upgrade at some point. Thanks Steve.

LOL! Once one gets frustrated, it is hard to see things. Glad you figured it out. Just remember to slow down and breath. There is probably more to come. And the CNC now says... I am your Father! HA! 💻

Good advice Chaz. I was being very chill for me. But after a few days it got to me.

Glad you found it. I had some electrical interference that took me a few days to figure out. The LinuxCNC software pops up whatever error the G code ran into on the screen so it's pretty helpful in troubleshooting. LinuxCNC also let's you restart your G code from where it left off so all is not a loss with random errors. I went through my share of limit switch issues as well but none of them were related to cords hitting them. I'm hoping we are both beyond all the little bugs at this point, I was frustrated for a bit as well.

Thanks James. I think I settled on the carveco maker software for design and the openbuilds for the G-code sender.
