I just started posting 1 hour videos of this and I realized I probably should start doing streams of two to three hours or 5 hours a day lol. About seven videos maybe 6 hours overall and I just made it to chocobo ranch outside midgar. At this rate it will take me a month or more.

#VodSquad Just want to say massive respect to Robenhagen for standing up to the Steal backseating chatters and not letting them ruin Dave's first blind playthrough. You cannot replicate the magic experience of a first playthrough so knock it off guys and just enjoy the show.

Pretty sure that Fort Condor enemy has nothing to Steal. Why does everyone feel differently?
FF7 is my favourite game of all time but I wouldn’t have made it past Midgar on my first playthrough if I had someone shouting at me through the battles 🤷🏻♂️

VOD Squad - I’m totally with Robenhagen. It’s amazing to watch Dave play for the first time, but also frustrating knowing all the stuff he misses as a completionist. Still great to watch though. Might have to start another playthrough since I haven’t played since I finally got the platinum (and actually finished the game for the first time) last year.
VOD Squad - also for the Fort Condor battles you can place forces after you start. Putting just a couple down and marching them south will let you bottleneck the enemies and wipe them out before the commander even shows up. Or you can just let them go right to the shed and just fight the commander, there’s no penalty for that.
Love watching these on Monday if I can but can't watch it live since I'm busy. You're doing well Dave, keep going and just enjoy one of my favorite Final Fantasy games. Robenhaggen, you're doing well supporting Dave.

Funny thing about condor fight is David was given a warning, but he did classic move. Forgot because he was flustered about what the majority of enemies would be because he was to panicked about not knowing what was going on
Aww man. Why didn't you reload a save or somethin to get Yuffie in the party. I can see if there was an alternate benefit. But he's just missin out, not havin Yuffie, seein all the little things she gets up to along the way :) Yuffie's the best!
Didn't even have to do that. They just had to run around the forest until they encountered again. Just escape the battles that didn't involve Yuffie to save time for stream

Oof, the "donate money to Fort Condor" option makes it so the NPCs play the minigame off-screen. If you do the minigame yourself you use money straight from your wallet. #VODSquad

I have bought the game for PS4.... downloaded it... but forgot to start the damn game..... thanks for the reminder. restarting play-through 4 after over 20 years since playing it the first time. Made it an annual tradition to replay FF8 but forgot about FF7.... I shall rectify this error...

This stream is a great example of why FFVII is the best Final Fantasy game, the amount of mini games it gives you to do is great and is something sorely missing from other Final Fantasy games.

I don't think I've used magic as much as Dave in this one video, than in my entire 25+ year history of final fantasy.
Just hit them bro. It's way more efficient.
I think he also used more items before the Airbuster than I’ve used in any FF ever, I just hoard everything. Selling weapons is absolute blasphemy
Good job playing the game inefficiently for 25 years then. You’re obviously not aware how overpowered magic is in the early game of 7. Attacks are only good in the late game once you get 4x cut or Flash and once magic materia damage falls off. But at this point in the game, you can either clear groups of 4-5 enemies with magic+all or a summon materia, or you can hit them one at a time, multiple times with basic attacks. You decide what’s way more efficient “bro”.

Sometimes an enemy will be on the left and you have to press up to get them
And the PS4 has a weird issue too, if you press a direction and x too fast, it skips
So instead Of going up/down once, it goes twice
Dude how are they not noticing all the empty materia slots lol. Just because it's a linked alot doesn't mean you can only put blue materia there ! Fill those spots!
Dave... how can you get 2 summons and not equip EITHER of them as soon as you picked then up!?!
