      I'm 40 yrs old and just now learning why I was so strong compared to those around me pound per pound then I ended up with some physical issues and I gave up turned to heroin and meth tho I beat the b.s. system on the whole junkie lie and I been starting my old workout routine and realized that your system is the closest but more technical and and I based mine off of my anatomy I studied with my mom as a child she was being schooled to be a rn

      But I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and so I been trying to get tight enough and if I don't keep my shoulders even like if my pecs get tight my shoulder pulls out the front if I try to bench press my shoulders pop out the back of the bench and the bar stays put lol

      But I can finally do dips again and a few pull-ups without dislocating I've gotten tight were I can't even do splits because I spent the second twenty years avoiding stretching and building muscle to get tendons to tighten as a teen and young adult I did 40 flags on each side and crucifixion push ups and hand stands walking around on my hands but I got a neck and shoulder injury but I'm finally after fifteen of pt and five trying to get passed my fears and the last three sober and doing it bringing hope to junkies in my area I help people get out that life now

    For some reason this is one of the most inspiring videos i've seen of Lee Welland! The way he explained everything was to the point, and everyone in the video was amazing. That would be so cool to do all of that stuff.

    You know I have studied anatomy, all forms of exercise and I have to say I really appreciate you and your material. I like convict conditioning and my being 80 in pretty good shape but I still see a tremendous amount of work needing to be done. Being 80 and on SS I need to monitor my funds. I also am fighting against having a left shoulder and right knee surgery. In January 2007 I had a stroke totally paralyzing my left side. I have overcome that but currently working on mastering my balance. I feel that when I get my finances under control and my physical health as well I will pursue your expertise. Until then please realize how valuable you are to all us old farts

    This is great! I have been doing push-ups, pull ups, rowing machine, lifting 80 lbs barbell and doing deep knee bends. I think I am gaining strength and becoming strong. As far as doing a handstand, I am not sure. I mean, I could do it, but I am just trying to build my full body so I remain strong and be able to cycle long distances.

    Do you have multiple gyms? I'd love to do this but I'm more an in person person. Also, I'd like my kids to give it a try and I don't trust that in my house

    I just discovered Pacific Rim Athletics today. I have a feeling I have found something special. Instantly subscribed. Love the content and especially the mental aspects of training. I would really like to get in touch and be part of this (if I am qualified, well see). I tried to sign up for online coaching following the link in the description, but the time scheduler on your website sadly does not seem to work for me. I cannot change the month and there is no sessions in November :)
    Big thanks for the great content and work that has been put into establishing what is presented :) I hope to get in touch soon.

    Big mistake going to a conventional gym at age 30, let alone a bodybuilding gym. I wish I had come across a coach like you. With the exception of chin-ups, dips and handstands, I gave up everything else just so I could gain a bunch of bulk, stiffness and injuries!
    I'm old enough to have gone through Junior High School tumbling classes. On Main Beach in Laguna, we had 3 High bars, 3 parallel bars and six very tall swing sets from which you could dismount doing flips. I had a high bar with sand underneath in my backyard at age 13.
    Then, guess what happened? Personal injury attorneys, city ordinances and neoliberalism. Quiet a trifecta for mass formation victimhood.

    Hello,
    I live in Belgium and I'm really interested about your method.
    If I don't have the opportunity to attend a gym class, is your program also designed for people who can only train (alone) at home?
    I am a total beginner...
    Thank you :)

    Lee when you talked about strengthening connective tissue I thought you were going to talk about isometric exercise. It was not mentioned once in your video. Why? Do you not use any form of isometric training?

  • @johnlozauskas778
    @johnlozauskas778 Рік тому

    @Lee Weiland - Someone has got to ask this question. When you say training with qualified instructors, that makes sense. But when you say training with "insurance," what do you mean?

    • @LeeWeiland
      @LeeWeiland  Рік тому

      UA-cam and DIY courses get a lot of people hurt...amd often personal trainers and friends don't make the best coaches either if you know what I mean. For example, we hire Doctorate Physical Therapists and both them and our on site Coaches are all properly insured etc. It just further validates what everyone is doing and teaching.

      I doubt it. I am alone too, but I got a door bar in August. I started just by hanging from it for a few seconds daily. Now I can flip over(swing), hang upside down, pull ups, do hangs in all kinds of positions.
      Just yesterday, I started doing the L-sit. I am 49 years old. Is the form excellent? Not yet, but its good and I am improving each day.
      My grip strength has improved a lot. Next, I should start working on the hand stand against the wall.
