I'm not saying you're wrong, please don't think this is an attack. I've been told it's extremely important that STI's more so than all other cars need tires that are the same make, model and approx mileage. This is due to the three locking differentials. Different size on one wheel spins that axles shafts at different rates and that diff makes up the difference. If that diff is making up the axle speed differences, then the center will have to take part of that. I was really surprised when I did the math and that 2 mm circumference makes a lot or rotations over a mile. I read and read on the topic because I had the exact same thing with a bubble, even on that tire. Subaru could do better communicating this critical fact. My common sense says lots of STI's have tires that haven't been rotated or some new and old tires mixed together. The forums have very few instances of differential failure. However, many diffs seem to have failed do the driving too far/fast on the spare or extreme tire mismatch 205/40 with 205/50 type stuff. My tires still had about 70% tread and I went with one new tire. It's been about 3k miles of hard driving and all is good so far... ;)

Mate is so appreciate Ur detailed comment and it's something I did forget so I got 2 newish tyres on back and 2 worn 30k on front and front diff judders in morning on turns in carpark and car is all over the place. Thanks a million. Shoulda pissed all 4 off to a different brand I stupidly replaced 2 with same yokohama now I'll do front keep U updated on judder. Forgot all about interaction of 3 diffs. I knew this and it in past and mentioned it then fell into the trap.

Get Rim blades from eBay they are brilliant and protect your wheels. Try to use shell garages if you have them, bp are shit. I use shell v power 99ron 👍

Hey scoobs wow 99! We don't have that. I was at a shell other day. I'll look again next time. Re rim blades I'll look em up never heard of em. Hope Ur all well over there.

Good to see you again. I was wondering what happen to you. I used to change my oil every 4000 miles but now 3000 mile. My 2018 sti is still stock. Don't want to get ring land so don't know if I want to mod it or not.

Switched to a washable foam oil free filter years ago and never had the oil contamination issue again

Why are you checking the cranck case breather lines ? How is it involved in a boost leak ?

Very tardy to the party but at 7:38 in the video you pull what looks like a vacuum cap that has foamy white on the under side, how did you instal this? Was this DIY or aftermarket? Very curious about this and wouldn’t mind installing as it would settle my anxiety just fearing this

The injen evo 1206 came with a dry filter buddy, you don’t oil it. Unless you changed the filter? Great video 👍

Not going to do what I've done on many channels today abd roast people on subarus, going to ask a legit question. My wrx, not sti, has been doing something similar to what the title in this video mentions, surging. I'll be lightly cruising and now and then it's like the boost is gone or other times it'll chug (surge) and done this between NY first short block replacement and after my second to current. No check engine, the boost gauge hasn't been showing oddities. It doesn't matter much, im voluntarily surrendering this car either before snowfall or spring, just curious if this would act the sane between a sti or wrx (fa20).

It holds revs in 1st second for around a second .. if I leave clutch in and in gear it revs up to 3k unless it’s out of gear .??

    Proplem.....
    I had to replece the
The coolant water tank, didn't get ford, I got it from euro parts, u have to buy the lid. The rank wud over heat..... Then wen one day it went bad, and it was the water hoze from engine to the heater blowing into car. The pipe blew the garage said. I paid 300 to get fixed, came home, pipe fixed but water over heating more. So I rang them they said sounds like yur head gasket 500 so I took it in to see the boss we where in the office he said, b4 I even look I know it's the head gasket, he took the oil cap off and it was full of white thick cream see that's the best sign. OK will sort it wen I get muny. I went home and watched videos like these. Someone said the best rest is leave the cap off the water tank put water in and turn the engine on if it's the head gasket the water will rise fast.
Or smoke out of exhaust, pulled the oil cap off shock no creMy crap no thick gunge.
I think the fan straining to get round like an old person with out a walking stick lol. U hear it forcing itself to go. Then wrn the garage took the mannafold off to do pipe, they have not put back a big sound pspe attached to engine. Can some one please tell me if it was full of creamy gunge and thick full, and ive looked today and there is no thickness and defo not creamy thick stuff, like wen garage had it and lookex what's happend to creamy stuff and is it the head gasket, the water is spurting out of wTer rank lid please help. As I can't get out the house my DPTSD is bad,
