Koreans had no clothes before the Joseon Dynasty(1392). So they copied and wore clothes from Ming Dynasty(1368) China. Because China gave clothes to Koreans, Koreans can wear clothes. Hanbok is originally from China.

When will these Award shows start to treat Mamamoo the way they deserve? The title of this video says it all... "Maria+AYA" like wtf??? Hwasa did a solo act and Mamamoo should be given time to perform 2 songs. Wheein's part was cut out, the whole song is rushed because you guys provided so little time. Mamamoo is a 6-year-old senior girl group that is very much successful with charts and album sales. Stop disrespecting Mamamoo a group that is the 2nd most-streamed gg in melon. Maria had to be cut short, it deserves a totally separate stage. Hwasa is one of the most successful soloists of this year and you guys straight up disrespected her. Such a shame and the camerawork...jeez get someone professional please.

It's normal for Chinese characters to appear in Japan and Korea as China did invade the two countries many years ago, leaving many traditions in both countries which later transform into their own traditions and customs. Chinese characters are also one of them. However, this does not necessarily mean that hanbok is Chinese culture as it is also a costume in Korea ages ago, even if there are Chinese characters written on it.
