in many of the circumstances the word District and the administrative districts used as synonyms however, in the recent press release it speak about creation of some administrative units, which could be empowering the current SDM, a part from it there sounds nothing.
All Zanskar people should put up their demand firmly and precisely:
* District with DC.
* District with Chief Planning officer.
* District with Addl District Development Commissioner.
* District with Addl District Magistrate.
* District with SO planning.
* District with AO
* District with SSP.
* District with Assitant Commissioner Revenue.
if the administrative district come with the above mentioned post than its a actual district other wise it just a jumla which zanskar people shouldnt be accept and celebrate

Glad to see you speaking about the demands of zangskar.. Well speak and i also want to say about that i think it's not possible to get a full fledge district to zangskar and nubra.. People have voted just becoz our mp have said BJP will give district to zangskar and nubra.. It's just like a 6th schedule which our mp have said BJP will give 6th schedule for ladakh.. Just like a UT it's just a lollypop for zangskar to give a administrative district which will be mini district within a district.. No hill council..
And it's like divide and rule policy that in the name of district they are playing with the sentiments of ladakh and zangskar people.. As we are divided by district and 6th Schedule.. Both are very important for all of us but zangskar should know that they also need statehood, 6th Schedule they should also support the others safeguard demands and ladakhi people will also support the district demands of zangskar.. Zangskar people should also have knowledge of is it possible for zangskar to have a full fledge district if not you should support the safeguard demands as it will benifit for the coming generation.. Please i know you will think about my words..

well said brother, Election is near & JTN term is almost over I really appreciate his work during his tenure but it all make no sense when he couldn't delcare Zanskar as Separate District because People of Zanskar Voted Him for District Purpose only.
Recently they have been news sharing about decelaration of Administrative District but what is it really?
Zanskar coordination committee seems dead, the committee must study what administrative district is and must educate the people about it’s Advantage and Dis advantage so that we don’t suffer in near future.
After Ladakh without 6th Schedule People learned it dis advantage and are regretting IT . We still have time left and we must study Admisnistartive rather than staying silence or else the zanskar Coordination committee will be responsible for all the Dis Advantages that people will face in near future, you guys have responsible of whole region WAKE UP

The question posed is pertinent and apt... An Administrative District sounds like nothing more than Changing the Nomenclature from Sub-district to An Administrative District.
Which surely sounds like a Political Tactic... As we all know we are already a Sub-district with sanctioned posts of DSP etc which never saw the light of the day for so many years..
What it sounds like is.. Now they are going to get and post some Bureaucrats as a DC to carry forth the Over all Administrative affairs of Zanskar.
But is that what we have been demanding??
We should definitely get deeper into dissecting this and find whether or not.. We are going to get all the facilities, Staffing, Departments, - from not only Administrative point of view but from Employment, Economy, Funds and other district level Cadres/Departments also along or is it only going to be Partially so?
Unless and until we are explained and informed of the intricacies of this term.. We should outrightly reject and not get swayed by just the term District and some Bureaucrats coming to take charge of the affairs... Our demand for district should be more holistic from how other 806 districts of the country are empanelled.. And we should not accept anything less!!
And make sure.. We negotiate well before accepting and letting anyone woo us and sway us for their political gains, Yet again!

I am more concerned with what kind of district is it going to be. Will it be a democratic one or a bureaucratic one? In other words, are we gonna run the state or is the state gonna run us?
I guess it is better to demand a separate Hill council for Zanskar than the nacked term "District"..
Yes, whole ladakh is worried for this bureaucratic rule. Unless and until we did get the Legislature, 😁we will not have the opportunity to have some kind of democratic way in Ladakh.
